Utah judge issues pre-trial protective order for Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk

Utah Fourth Judicial District Court Judge Tony Graf on Tuesday granted a pre-trial protective order for Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

The requested was filed by Utah County prosecutors.

"I have reviewed the pretrial protective order and will be issuing this pretrial protective order in favor of Erika Kirk," the judge said.

My first thought was that the texts were a setup to give the trans boyfriend plausible deniability and make the trans guy look as if he had not also been radicalized and "reasonable". Why not just call on burner phones?

Seems first thing 'Jody Foster' would do would be to check Tyler's and Zinn's communication history on their phones, laptops and gaming consoles to see if it was similar.

Timothy McVeigh had a strictly Federal trial, and he was executed lickety split because there were no State Appeals.   :shrug:

It is my express understanding that he had dozens of "stay" petitions thrown at him by a rolodex of lawyers. 

He rejected them all.  It's the ONLY reason this execution was carried out so swiftly by comparison.

But cold blooded murder... Nope.

Same with rape... I can get date rape, where there might be mixed signals... but cold calculated rape of a stranger...

There just ain't no call to keep that around.

It ain't vengeance. Don't care to torture em, with an eye for an eye and all that. Just make em quit suckin air, and that's that.

Now,I get that keeping them alive, they might come to find their savior and try to make amends, and all that...

Well, they better pray fast, because they have till morning.

Doesn’t work that way.  “Refusing to press charges” is inaccurate talk for “I won’t testify at the trial” and only works if the victims testimony would be crucial to the prosecution.

First, her testimony is not relevant to the acts charged, so she has no leverage there.   Second, there is more than enough other evidence, including the fascists own words, to prosecute him.

Sorry, but if she does "forgive" the killer (especially if he has not heartfelt asked for forgiveness), I will be highly disappointed. Society demands to see justice, and though she had more skin in the game, all of us were affected. From kids at the event to kids shown the murder in classrooms by their demented teachers (and 10,000 other ways this affects all of us).

Oh, I can forgive him... And she can too. I have no hate for the man even now. I think he is horribly confused and hasn't thunk out his path.

But he has a bill to pay. And none of that has anything to to with forgiving him, if you can understand that.

My 'silly' suggestion in the personal plea for mercy from a firing squad was as much for the cameras...not for the actual success in the final outcome.

It could turn the focus of the post-execution revenge toward the government and not the MAGA crowd.
