Keep in mind that any government rule or operating procedure that was in effect on Jan 19, 2021 was subsequently abandoned and replaced by the new regime at the earliest opportunity.  The Secret Service could have had rules and procedures that had been in place for half a century.   Yet when the Biden regime took over, those rules were considered to be 'Trump rules' that had to be gotten rid of.

I watched Tim Pool's livestream tonight (TimcastIRL on YouTube) and his panel talked about this story. According to Pool, modern drones make an Internet connection to check their current location, and if they are in a "no-fly" zone... they won't fly.  Which to my mind, means four possibilities:

1) the federal agency (probably the Secret Service working with the FAA?) tasked with establishing no-fly zones, didn't declare one over the Trump rally that day. This should be easy to check, since these declarations are made public;

2) the shooter had an older (or cheaper?) drone that doesn't make the check for no-fly zones;

3) the shooter had a home-made drone, that again didn't check for no-fly zones;

4) the story is fake, and someone is putting out industrial-strength misinformation to the media to cloud the story.

At this time, I'm thinking 4) is most likely.

According to the story, the kid flew his drone three hours BEFORE the rally to scope out the site, so I doubt the jammers were on at that time.  Regardless, considering what we now know about the USSS detail, it seems like it was an ad hoc group, thrown together at the last minute from the "B" team since Jilly had taken the best for herself at her event in Pittsburgh.  It also sounds like the USSS was relying heavily on the Pennsylvania State Police and local township cops to back them up, and that it was one of the local SWAT guys who actually took out the shooter and NOT the USSS.

The FBI found Crooks' second cell phone at his home with only 27 contacts, The Daily Mail reported.

Congressman Mike Waltz told Fox News host Jesse Watters that according to an FBI briefing, Crooks had multiple encrypted accounts and said more will come out Monday.

Rep. Waltz said the Trump shooter had the overseas accounts at the same time we heard about the Iranian assassination plot against Trump.

Jesse Watters asked if the two are connected (they aren't).

The Intel agencies leaked an Iranian assassination plot story to CNN to throw chaos in the camp and distract from Saturday's Secret Service failures.

Here’s an abbreviated list of extremely basic factual questions about the Trump assassination attempt that for some reason haven’t been definitively answered (anonymous leaks don’t count):

1) What make, model, and caliber of firearm was used, and when/where/by whom was it purchased?

2) What make and model of ammo was used (including the weight of the bullet used)?

3) Did the rifle used have any type of magnified optic or red dot sight on it, and if so, what make/model, and what exact setting was the optic on when the shooter used it?

4) Have authorities put identical rounds through the rifle with the identical optics settings and confirmed both the zero and the result of shots fired at the range at which they were fired on Saturday?

5) How many shell casings were recovered from the crime scene? How many remaining rounds were in the magazine that was found in the rifle?

6) How many rounds were fired by the shooter on the warehouse rooftop? Has each round been accounted for (i.e., do investigators know where each round landed, and does the number of bullets found or accounted for match the number of shell casings found?

7) Have investigators confirmed, via the recovered bullets and the known trajectory of the bullets, that the shooter on the rooftop fired each one?

8) Have investigators reconstructed the shooter’s precise movements over the past days, weeks, and months? If so, have they put together a list of every person with whom he interacted over that time period, but in person and virtually or online?

9) Have investigators reviewed video surveillance of the shooter at all various locations he recently visited (e.g., gun range, gun dealer, restaurants, traffic cameras, etc.)? If so, have they canvassed and interviewed each person seen with the shooter?

These aren’t difficult questions to answer. These are usually the types of details promptly provided by authorities in the days following shocking, violent events of national importance.

Yet we do not have a single one of these questions definitely answered on the record by an official authority. Not one.

I distinctly remember they claimed a white van belonged to the shooter - we even saw a photo -then it became a Hyundai Sonata. It's probably quite difficult to carry a 12' ladder in a Sonata. How did he drive both from Bethel Park to Butler (at least a one hour drive each way).

... I cut down a side street, saw a lady, asked her if I could park park my bike in her yard. She said yes, and she told me how to get into the rally a back way. So me and my girlfriend followed her directions, went up to an end of a cul de sac, went down a dirt road into the woods to a 6 foot fence that was surrounding a big field that was a part of the venue.

We climbed over the 6 foot fence, walked past some people, under a yellow police tape, and walked right by that building where the shooter was. I could have gone on that building.

Trump told the SS to wait (fact) and fought them the whole to get his fist bumps out there and his "fight fight fight". Trump is a big old fat boy compared to Reagan so there is also that. No fist bumps from Reagan. Reagan complied for the most part. Reagon was also actually shot in the lung I believe and that would take the fight out of ya.

The old 'white van' canard. Ask Chief Moose about white vans. ("Beltway Sniper" incidents, where the police were looking for a white van, when the vehicle involved was an altered blue Oldsmobile). Chances are any vehicle used by the second shooter is long gone with them.

As for ladders, (not saying this is what was used as to brand or specific type) you can fit a lot of ladder in a little space.

Sounds like just a bit too much speculation. Why did the FBI release this tidbit? Not that I'd doubt it, considering just about every young shooter in the past several years has been on some kind of prescribed drug for a mental illness.

The quiet(er) fire sounds like that .223 from 130 yds away. But that doesn't explain the loud(er) reports.
To underscore that, the VCM tape - The one where you can hear someone calling Crooks by name, in that you can hear him shooting - a rat-a-tat in quick succession - a pretty quiet rifle, like a .223 would be. I counted eight shots, like I said, in quick succession.

The loud reports sound like bigger iron. Somebody said .308... Somebody said 300 winmag. I can buy that... Though the sound is pretty skinny for a 300 win.

I ain't been around a whole lot of .223/.243/5.56 stuff myself - That's just a varmint gun around here. But I have been around em... .223 particular. Louder than a .22LR, but not by that much. You and me, we could maintain a conversation in a regular voice while poppin them off - I know because I have done it, shooting after coyotes.

So I have a hard time believing those big reports are the shooter.

It all depends on the rifle. I had a Mini-14 that barked right proper, as loud as any .30 caliber rifle I own.

The salient point, especially comparing bullet cracks to muzzle sound (cause the bullet is faster, the sound arrives later, and the lag should be the same for every shot fired from the same rifle in the same place). Only they aren't.  That means more rifles. Check out the video. The analysis seems pretty tight to me.
