Absolutely, totally shocked at the level of hypocrisy here since the verdict was handed down yesterday.

"Look at ME!!"   Forget about the 8 years of hatred spewed here by a clear majority of members toward Donald Trump,....tripping over yourselves now offering what's tantamount to "thoughts and prayers...."

Some of you actually brag that you'd never vote for the man.  Your "Master of Bullshit" at least has gone into his cave since another thread was locked because....WTF knows why!

Soon as the Trump haters get punched in the face, the authorities show up and separate everyone.

Y'all aren't fooling anyone.

Out of respect for mystery-ak ... I changed my avatar back.

I await the timely passage of a FY 2025 Budget by the House by October 1st.  If all those GOP Congressmen had time to attend Trump's trial, they must surely be almost done with their day job - passing bills of appropriation on time.

Always making it personal.

Just because someone doesn't want to vote for someone for President that already had a go at it and has a record of some very large failures doesn't mean they want a corrupt legal system prosecuting them for crimes they didn't commit. It isn't very complicated but something you seem to be incapable of understanding. That is a reflection on you, not us.

On these, we agree.  I am tired of Budgets being pushed off into Never Neverland.

Dear Republicans:

If your response to Biden’s Republic-ending lawfare against Trump is:

1. we must respect the process

and/or

2. we are too principled to retaliate

Please do two things:

1. bleep off

2. leave the party

You are too weak, stupid, and dangerous to keep around.

RFK Jr unleashes on Biden, Dems after accusing them of 'weaponizing' courts against Trump

'This will backfire in November,' Robert F Kennedy wrote on X

Brandon Gillespie  |  May 31, 2024 8:00am EDT

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. had some harsh words for President Biden and the Democratic Party following former President Trump being found guilty in his New York City criminal trial on Thursday.

Kennedy, a thorn in the side of Democrats who are worried he might derail Biden's chances at winning re-election, wrote in a post on X that the verdict would ultimately "backfire" and accused his former party of attempting to destroy democracy.

"The Democratic Party's strategy is to beat President Trump in the courtroom rather than the ballot box. This will backfire in November. Even worse, it is profoundly undemocratic," Kennedy wrote.

"America deserves a President who can win at the ballot box without compromising our government’s separation of powers or weaponizing the courts. You can’t save democracy by destroying it first," he wrote. "The Democrats are afraid they will lose in the voting booth, so instead they go after President Trump in the courtroom."   .  .  .

One thing that Trump did say in his speech and I think he finally realizes:

"It's very important, far beyond me," Trump said about the case. "And this can't be allowed to happen to other presidents. It should never be allowed to happen in the future. But this is far beyond me. This is bigger than Trump. This is bigger than me. This is bigger than my presidency," he said.

I've been bombarded by text today asking for money for Trump. $$ isn't going to fix this problem nor is electing Trump going to fix this problem.  535 members of Congress watched this happen and those in the GOP need to realize that they are next.  Anyone voting GOP also needs to realize that they could be next.

you've already pooh-poohed and denied the crimes when others have specified them. If you continue to try to egg me on I will consider it harassment.

Are you feeling micro-aggressed?  I simply asked you to back up your statement.  Clearly, you cannot.

The Trump verdict convicted him of 34 felonies.  Yet you cannot identify a single felony.  Not a one.  And when this truth is stated, you cry 'harassment'?  Dang, you sound just like a leftist flake.

Can The Supreme Court Intervene After Trump’s Conviction? Legal Experts Say Yes.
By  Zach Jewell

May 31, 2024   DailyWire.com

excerpt:

Attorney Roger Severino, who is the vice president of Domestic Policy and the Joseph C. and Elizabeth A. Anderlik fellow at the Heritage Foundation, told “Morning Wire” on Friday that Trump’s legal team could make “constitutional arguments that his right to a fair trial was violated.”

“And the Constitution means something,” Severino added. “It means, if anything, you cannot jail political opponents because you don’t like what the American people are going to vote for.”

Severino said that he believes the Supreme Court will intervene in the case if Trump doesn’t win on appeal.
