Biden to announce up to $4 trillion infrastructure plan with massive tax hikes
NY Post, Mar 30, 2021

President Biden will outline his massive $3 to 4 trillion infrastructure plan Wednesday, which will create four tax increases worth around $1.8 trillion, the White House revealed.

The commander-in-chief’s “Build Back Better” proposal, a centerpiece of his post-COVID campaign message, will be split into two packages for Congress to pass.

The first, the White House said, will focus on infrastructure investments specifically.

The second will focus on funding domestic policy areas of Democratic concern, such as providing universal pre-kindergarten and tuition-free community college, as well as health care.

Billions will also be put toward care for the elderly and disabled, as well as housing infrastructure and manufacturing.

As for how to pay for the plan, Biden’s main priority will be to raise the corporate rate from 21 percent to 28 percent.

In addition, Biden’s proposal would impose a global minimum tax on profits from foreign organizations, increasing capital gains taxes for the wealthy, and returning to the Bush-era individual rate of 39.6 percent for those making over $400,000.

Biden’s insane new spend-fest is a recipe for national disaster
NY Post, Mar 30, 2021, Editorial Board

Three. Trillion. Dollars. Maybe four: That’s how much President Joe Biden wants for his next installment of Let’s Remake America. Think of it as pumping gasoline by the shipload onto a wildfire.

Fresh off signing a $1.9 trillion bill for “COVID relief” (that has little to do with COVID or relief), the prez is now set to roll out yet another tranche of his free-money orgy Wednesday. It’s so huge, he’s splitting it into two parts — one focusing on infrastructure, a second on progressive, social-policy wish-list items.

Together, they’d represent the single-largest outlay of cash in US history. And the aim is to “fix” everything from the nation’s insufficiently-= green economy to “income inequality” to child care, even as it miraculously revives domestic-manufacturing jobs while making the country carbon-neutral.

Biden’s been sold on the idea he can be the new FDR, imposing a historic nationwide transformation — including the Green New Deal fantasy of socialist-progressives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Never mind his thin margin of victory last November or that Congress is nearly evenly divided. Forget his calls for unity and bipartisanship. And don’t even think about the fact that much of the money won’t even go toward his stated goals, just as President Barack Obama’s stimulus for “shovel-ready jobs” turned out to be pure fiction.

And to help this massive spending, Biden will slam taxpayers with trillions more in taxes, particularly on companies and the rich. That’s guaranteed to slow the economy, leading to income stagnation for lower earners, just as President Donald Trump’s tax cuts prompted big gains for working stiffs.

Even if the tax hikes total “only” a staggering $3 trillion, as the latest rumors suggest, much of Biden’s spree will be financed with yet more debt — when Uncle Sam already has more on his credit card than ever. Interest payments on the national debt this year alone total a whopping $378 billion. Biden’s borrowing would push that from the stratosphere and into orbit.

The last (but smaller!) such spending boom that began under President Lyndon Johnson in the ’60s wound up giving America the “stagflation” and double-digit inflation of the ’70s. This one could bring far worse — simply to feed Biden’s ego and AOC’s lunatic agenda.

The plan -- according to sources familiar with the details who spoke to the Post -- provides only $650 billion for roads, bridges, highways, and ports.

Also in the plan, the sources said: $400 billion for home care for the elderly and the disabled, $300 billion for housing, $300 billion to revive U.S. manufacturing, and $400 billion in clean-energy credits.

Biden will today announce 7% corporate tax hike to 28% - the largest jump since the 90s - and 'target profits in tax havens' to raise $2TN for his huge climate-friendly infrastructure proposal

President Joe Biden will unveil in remarks in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon his massive $4 trillion infrastructure plan
Biden plans to pay for $2 trillion of the Build Back Better initiative with a 7% corporate tax increase – bringing the rate from 21% to 28%
The hike will undo former President Trump's famed tax cuts from 2017
'If Republicans have alternative ways to pay for it, we're certainly open to hearing that,' Psaki told MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' on Wednesday morning
The tax increased could also hit Americans earning more than $400,000 a year, married couples, businesses and estates

Total US income in 2019 (last year for which it has been calculated) was $18.6 Trillion.

$4 trillion = 21.5% of our total income. That would be in addition to the income taxes we are already paying... well, that half of us are paying.

$4 trillion divided by $143 million taxpayers last year = @$28,000 per taxpayer.

Average married couple tax increase = $56,000 divided by 10 years = $5,600 each year, on average.

If they try to focus this on the top 10% of taxpayers (which they will), then the effect will be devastating for those who produce the most, and who create nearly all the new jobs.

Increases in corporate taxes will be passed along to consumers as well, increasing the cost of goods and services in regressive fashion, so that those with the lowest incomes will be hardest hit.

Pure socialism.

Pure socialism.

Damned right Andy...   And what is the most scariest part of this Biden plan is the precedent setting concept and implemtation of a Wealth Confisciation Tax.  Anyone thinking that $50M net worth threshold won't shrink down by a factor of 10 or 20 in the future are fooling themsleves.

Corporations can move, restructure, and re-domicile.  I, unfortunately, can't re-domicile my working, middle-class existence to Bermuda.  Economically, to improve global competitiveness, the US should be making investments that drive efficiencies and pursue policies that increase the velocity of money through the economy.  Piles of money do not create economy.  It is the exchange of that money for goods and services that creates economy.  To that end, the U.S. needs to pursue a rigorous anti-trust enforcement regime to breakup monopolies, dualarchies, oligrachies, and cartels that impede free market competition.  ****slapping

That's entirely correct.  Tax increases force corporations to engage in non-productive behavior in the short-term, so that they may be able to remain competitive and add value in the longer term.

Today's Progressives, many of whom have never even worked in the private sector, have no clue about real-world economics. They tend to see corporations as mere pots of money, rather than the organic enterprises that they truly are.

@Bigun

Tax increases NEVER raise what they project because they are based on static revenue analysis, i.e.-  the assumption that changes in tax rates will not alter taxpayer behavior in a quantifiable way.

Progressives adhere to this way of thinking not because they believe it, but because it is politically useful.

More Than Half of Biden’s Infrastructure Bill Does Not Go Towards Infrastructure
Biden plans to pay for this monstrosity by raising the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21%.

Basic infrastructure makes up $621 billion of President Joe Biden’s $2 trillion infrastructure bill. That means $1.379 trillion of the bill does not go towards infrastructure.

If you combine it with what they call “at home” infrastructure, it makes up $1.272 trillion of the bill.

Either way, projects that have nothing to do with infrastructure will receive more money than basic infrastructure. ...

Joe Biden: We Cannot Afford Not to Spend $2.5 Trillion on My Infrastructure Plan

President Joe Biden urged Americans to rally behind his dramatic $2.5 trillion economic plan on Wednesday.

“Put simply, these are investments we have to make, we can afford to make them,” he said. “Put another way, we can’t afford not to.”

Biden detailed his plan Wednesday afternoon during a speech in Pittsburgh and said the multi-trillion plan was only the first part of his proposed spending initiative to “build back better.”

The president’s plan spends roughly $639 billion on traditional infrastructure but more than a trillion on proposals that have less to do with infrastructure and more to do with climate change and clean energy goals, expanding health care, and affordable housing.

Biden promised to raise taxes to help pay for his proposed plan.

He emphasized the need to raise the corporate tax from 21 percent to 28 percent.

“No one should be able to complain about that,” he said.

He vowed to end various loopholes to keep companies like Amazon and other top 500 corporations from paying zero taxes.

“I don’t want to punish them but that’s just wrong,” he said.

Despite his planned tax increases, Biden appeared hopeful that Republicans would work with him, asserting that every Republican member of congress realized the importance of spending on infrastructure.

“They know China and other countries are eating our lunch,” he said. “There is no reason why it can’t be bipartisan again.”

Biden promised to meet with Republicans at the White House to discuss his plan and said he would be open to suggestions to improve his plan.

“We’ll have a good-faith negotiation with any Republican,” he said.

Some people need to learn how to do math, and how normal people express numbers to make a bigger impact.

Twenty THOUSAND billion is a much more impressive sound than a mere twenty trillion.

Some people attempt to use words to greatest effect, others still whine about how Trump wasn't Hillary.

But, whatever.   Should I have said the expenditure was 2 x 10^13 dollars, instead?  What if I said it was 2 x 10^15 pennies?   I could have written it as pi^26.8 dollars, ya know.

I gotta feelin' that this is gonna be one of those bills with hundreds of pages of stuff you're not findin' out about until it's too late.

And that specifically includes tax increases...

Tax increases and end to Right-to-Work in the states and anti-white racial quotas (it's a government infrastructure bill and it WILL cover what the contractors are hiring) and pretty much anything you don't like will be in there.

You mentioned GOP  "conservative" -- remember that next time you decide to go to the ballot box.

I said it most deliberately.

The first goal of the GOP as a party of Americans is to purge their ranks of traitors, whiners, wusses, purist-defeatists, and the professional back-stabbers who have had their knives honed and near our spines for so long.

If we have not learned that this is necessary, America deserves the long drawn-out death by political Ebola that it is going to be by the socialists.

I read an article today that Pence is thinking about a run in 2024, Shirley he'll save us all from utter ruin.

I hope he runs.

I hope Jeb! runs.

I hope Kay-sick runs.

I hope they all get the runs.

The more that run in the primaries, the more RINO money is wasted and the more the vote is split among them and the easier it is for Trump to secure his third nomination for his third term.

Biden voters are going to be hard to find in the near future, even though every one of the forty million voted twice.

Corporate tax increases make American-homed businesses less globally competitive, and they encourage those corporations to move manufacturing overseas. Long term, this will bring very little extra money into the government coffers and perhaps even be a net negative. Who it benefits most is Communist China.

He's taking a lot of flak.

He stands on a principle against big government, smaller in scope, size, and what it spends, and I had thought that all of us desired this.

Whether D or R behind their name, there has not been a President in recent memory who has done any thing about the national debt.
Some said they tried, some said they wanted to, but at the end of the day, it just hasn't happened.
The Republican presidents in my life time, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, GHWB, W, and Trump, all said they would, and none did.
Before you blame the democrats alone, I will kindly remind you that each President  ever elected has the right to veto any bill they disapprove of.

We've got to elect Senators, Congressmen, and Presidents who make this a priority, or it won't change.

Let's say for argument sake that the difference is that the Democrats run the thing up twice as fast.
It's like saying you'd rather drown in fifty feet of water, rather than one hundred.

Now, @roamer_1 is more principled than me, as I will vote the lesser of 2 evils more often than not, but he's not wrong in his assessment of the government being out of control, in my view.

Right, you are @GrouchoTex but the problem is the money behind GOPe approved candidates does not want what we want which is why you will never see me vote for the candidate with the most money in Republican primaries.  There is a reason why those people have all that money and it isn't any of our reasons.

Our corporate income tax functions as a subtraction method VAT and makes EVERYTHING produced in this country less competitive in world markets by its very nature and that remains true even if, at the end of the day, no tax is due because all the costs of compliance find their way into prices as well.

IMHO it should be thrown onto the ash heap of history in its entirety ASAP.

He stands on a principle against big government, smaller in scope, size, and what it spends, and I had thought that all of us desired this.

We all do @GrouchoTex  I'm not quite sure what the constant arguing is about fiscal responsibility.  There is nothing unique or sacred about @roamer_1 's fiscal "principles" --- or any of them.  We all share them.

I think where the split starts is some of the most conservative "principled" confuse substance with style and policies with labels.  Another split I see is the "principled" are content to do nothing but wait for the embodiment of all principles to appear center stage while others will try to move the needle by feet instead of waiting for a quantum leap.   If the socialists have taught us anything, it should be to keep moving, even if by inches.

So, IMO, this endless debate on principle is really one of strategy.  I've said before (and caught hell for it) that politics is a blood sport.  It takes  guts, willpower, elbows, shoulders and at times, fists.  "Bullies" in politics are the movers and shakers; they are the heroes who affect change and get things done -- on both sides of the proverbial aisle.

Politics also needs a desire to win.  Taking one's marbles home when a candidate isn't a purist is the surest way to lose this country, forever, to the Marxists; and this is where and when all "principles" will die.

It is hiding your head in the sand.

We have Joe Biden as our President because of those like him, who cannot see any difference between a conservative with faults and a full blown communist destruction of America.

Politics also needs a desire to win.  Taking one's marbles home when a candidate isn't a purist is the surest way to lose this country, forever, to the Marxists; and this is where and when all "principles" will die.

Marxism would be terrible indeed.

Yet we are and have been in this quasi-socialism for quite some time, with will participants on "both sides of the proverbial aisle".
They do vote in ways that control production in this country, not quite ownership, but they do control the means of production far too often.

I'll give you one example where our side got what it wanted, for the military:

When the B1 bomber was being proposed, the manufacturers went before congress with a map, showing all the congressional districts.
They pointed out where a piece of that bomber, some small, some large, would be manufactured in each congressional district.
Was that the most cost-effective way to manufacture it?
No, all those pieces had to travel somewhere to be assembled.
Did ensure that they would get approval?
Of course, every congressman could then go home and say they brought jobs to the district, even though it wound up costing the taxpayers (us) more to build than it should have.

So, like you, I vote for the lesser of the two evils, and will continue, hoping to vote for the one that may make the incremental change, and while there have been exceptions, it has been pretty disappointing at times. It is hard for me to place the blame on the "principled" because they are getting tired of Lucy pulling out the football every time. It is their right to vote, or not, and they have to live with the consequences of not voting unless they are sold on a candidate, just like you or I have to when we get it wrong.

That is not exactly true.

The Constitution originated as a way to form a government, which is not limiting government.

And in forming that new government the document specifically stated the limitations for the government.

And yes, there are indeed obligations of a citizen of that government if that government is to exist at all.

Do you have common sense enough to realize that there is no government if one does not exercise the right to vote of its citizens?

How would you believe the government can exist if no one votes?

And I guess if you believe there is never a requirement from citizens, then the draft is unlawful and we should just sit still and be conquered by anybody who wishes to overcome us too.

Of course there are obligations.  The Constitution is founded on a moral foundation.  Morality demands one acts.

@txradioguy

I think that's right.
I am looking for  that across the board though - I hold no faith in princes.

The ONLY thing that will beat the liberals is hard-core Conservatism at every level - not mere Republican-ism, not rah-rah messiah-ism. ALL of that is just bullcrap.

If the right cannot field a majority - a clear majority - of Conservatives, and cannot tear the reins of power away from the Republican Moderate wing  - And begin to write actual LAW supporting Conservative values, and reversing the liberal infection, nothing else one may do will matter a whit. Because the liberals will continue to win the day, as they have done for all of the last thirty years (except arguably, a brief respite in the 94 Congress)

That is the ONLY way forward. That is why I was/am a BIG supporter of the TEA party and don't support 'Tumpy and Our Gang' in the least... Because the TEA Party actually moved the ball.

That wasn't what he did.  He said Roamer's "Brethren" were Libs, implying birds of a feather and all.  You know better than to post this.  Maybe not...not my problem

You are entirely wrong in your assessment @Right_in_Virginia

The reason I will hold out is precisely right though. Because that is the whole of the Conservative Coalition in its formation - That we would stick together and vote for each other - Because none alone has the ability to move things in a Conservative direction. ALL of the factions together are unstoppable.

But that means servicing the agreement between them - None of them go under the bus. That is the 'purity' you speak of. That none go under the bus - That you serve all of the factions, and do none of them harm.

THAT is what causes the Conservative juggernaut to rise up out of the sea. THAT is what causes unstoppable movement to the right. That causes REAL law to be written. That causes REAL harm to the left.

And that has happened exactly three times in my lifetime. Reagan, the 94 Congress, and the TEA Party - All quenched by the way, by Moderate wing manipulations of populist movements. You cannot take on liberalism cozied up to Moderates (like Tumpy did).

The only threat to them (liberals on the left and moderate power on the right) IS Conservatism, raw and unleashed.

You NEED MORE of that 'purity', not less. And the last four years should be a lesson in that regard.

You don't win with popularity. You don't win because you throw poo at liberals. You WIN with Conservative LAW.

That is ALL.

It is most certainly not principled to refrain from your constitutional duty to vote, which is what is being done.

It is hiding your head in the sand.

We have Joe Biden as our President because of those like him, who cannot see any difference between a conservative with faults and a full blown communist destruction of America.

He gets the Courage Award alongside Mitt Romney.

No it is NOT the cause of voting to vote 'against' anything, which is what you propose.
All your vote IS, all your vote CAN BE, is an endorsement. And if you read the Founders, you will find that is what they designed. You are to vote your conscience. You are to endorse your conscience.

Vote FOR what's RIGHT. To do otherwise allows the lesser evil, which is what the Republicans have become.
Title: Re: Biden to announce up to $4 trillion infrastructure plan with massive tax hikes

Except in that the theory has proven deadly and wrong over time. The incremental change you are getting is a Republican party sliding further and further into incremental evil, not the other way around.

That is precisely why Conservatism is almost gone - Because lesser evil is getting more and more evil. That slippery slope will be our doom, as anyone should readily see.

The benefit of constantly throwing fiscal Conservatives under the bus, for instance, is a party that pays no mind to fiscal matters AT ALL. Is that the right direction?

If you think the federal behemoth spends way too much, don't you think you ought to first vote for bean-counters? That makes nothing but sense to me, as the other side certainly is not going to defend spending less and having more accountability.

What has been wrought is that now, NEITHER side cares a whit for fiscal Conservatism, and it is all but lost. It is completely off the table.

Of course there are obligations.  The Constitution is founded on a moral foundation.  Morality demands one acts.

TRUE. But it does not demand one act against one's conscience. In fact, quite the opposite.

My assessment is not wrong @roamer_1  We all agree on the principles of conservatism.  And no, the reason you hold out is not precisely right.  You're holding out for the purist who will lose gracefully while protecting the principles and keeping them in pristine condition.  Tour tagline could be:  "Better to lose than defile the principles".

I think yours is a senseless strategy.  Is it good for the pulpit?  Yes.  Good for the classroom and book clubs?  Yes and yes.   Good for the blood sport of politics?  No.  Good for the times in which we live?  Hell, no.

I think you are custom built for the pulpit or the classroom.  But if I had a magic wand, I'd remove you from the political arena with one tap.

Our political enemy took every inch they could beg, borrow or steal.  They didn't care it took a generation to amass the power to install a fraudulent president in plain sight.  They are now strong enough to completely shred the Constitution, unravel our representative republic and void our inheritance of freedom.

And still you wait.  Yet, my concern is not that you are waiting.  What troubles me is you are here trying to pull people away from active duty to serve with you in the reserves.

Your wait-for-it "strategery" is more than a luxury we cannot afford; it is now a looming obstacle to moving this country from the brink of total destruction.

I find no righteousness in your plan.

So you know my own mind better than I do, eh? To defile those principles MEANS you have thrown a Conservative faction UNDER THE BUS. That is what it plainly means. And the only way to preserve the Conservative coalition - The only way to actually make gains- is to stand with those you would throw under the bus. You do it to them, you do it to me. THAT IS CONSERVATISM. THAT IS the Conservative Coalition. To be Conservative, there is nothing else.

We have seen the results of such apparati in November 2020.

People become complacent and apathetic ... this will only go on for so long. Once the multitudes can no longer feed their families, start losing their homes and jobs, then it will become a whole different ballgame.

Corporate tax increases make American-homed businesses less globally competitive, and they encourage those corporations to move manufacturing overseas. Long term, this will bring very little extra money into the government coffers and perhaps even be a net negative. Who it benefits most is Communist China.

@roamer_1  must be over the target.
He's taking a lot of flak.

He stands on a principle against big government, smaller in scope, size, and what it spends, and I had thought that all of us desired this.

Quote
Whether D or R behind their name, there has not been a President in recent memory who has done any thing about the national debt.

@GrouchoTex

Think that just MAYBE the FACT that Presidents don't vote have anything to do with budgets other than signing them,or NOT signing them and having everything shut down?

You,thee, and everbodie else NEEDS to get mad a Congress, but nobody does because everybody wants THEIR congresscritter to spend most of his or her time proposing MASSIVE pork projects for where THEY live.

Hey,it's important because everything is about me,ME,ME,DAMMIT!

Quote
Some said they tried, some said they wanted to, but at the end of the day, it just hasn't happened.

That's because they live in the real world of what is possible, and what is not possible.

Plus,they are Presidents,not dictators.

Quote
The Republican presidents in my life time, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, GHWB, W, and Trump, all said they would, and none did.

Yeah, but don't worry about it. Santa is going to bring you refunds this year. Honest.

Quote
Before you blame the democrats alone, I will kindly remind you that each President  ever elected has the right to veto any bill they disapprove of.

Resulting in what, ice cream for everyone?

Quote
We've got to elect Senators, Congressmen, and Presidents who make this a priority, or it won't change.

The problem with that is everybody WANTS it to change,"but not in MY district!"

Quote
Let's say for argument sake that the difference is that the Democrats run the thing up twice as fast.
It's like saying you'd rather drown in fifty feet of water, rather than one hundred.

Let's say that YOU are underwater and trying to get to the surface. Which would YOU rather be,50 feet down,or 100 feet down?

Quote
Now, @roamer_1 is more principled than me, as I will vote the lesser of 2 evils more often than not, but he's not wrong in his assessment of the government being out of control, in my view.

No,but he IS wrong when he thinks he can hold his breath until he turns blue, and that will change it. You can't "win" unless you "play",and you will never win unless you focus on the best possible bets.

I see that the other way around, your knife to the throat is a feckless party that hasn't done a damn thing in thirty years.
When the ONLY thing that will turn this around is Conservatism, and the Republican party has not won a single issue for Conservatism in thirty-plus years, there is not a single tooth in that dog's mouth.

FURTHERMORE, When Republicans have become a proponent of big-government, every bit as much as the Democrats, to the order of tens of trillions of dollars in spending, your argument deflates entirely.

If what we are shooting for is small government the Republicans are of no avail.

So regardless of what is coming, when the one who is supposed to rise and defend has not and does not do so, then there is no warrant for support. You can point at Democrats and screech all day long. Doesn't mean sh*t if your feckless party ain't going to do anything anyway.

Not only do nothing, but actually HELP the liberals - Go look at what passed as law with Republicans holding BOTH houses, and then for the next two years holding the Senate, AND And and... with the so-called 'most conservative president evah' presiding... Go look at that and know what a joke it is.

If that is what you propose as opposition to the liberal, you've got another think coming.
The liberals are winning because they have NO opposition.
I refuse to support that anymore. And i never will again.

Of course, the President is not a dictator and all spending bills come to him from Congress.
But once, just once, wouldn't you like to see a President veto one of these boondoggles, kick it back up the hill, and say, "Nope, not signing it. Too much spending".
I won't hold my breathe watching for it, but everyone of them has had that opportunity.

Tax increases NEVER raise what they project because they are based on static revenue analysis, i.e.-  the assumption that changes in tax rates will not alter taxpayer behavior in a quantifiable way.

Progressives adhere to this way of thinking not because they believe it, but because it is politically useful.
Exactly correct. George Bush promised no new taxes. Then placed a tax on new Luxury Yachts. The uber wealthy immediately stopped purchasing them. This resulted in the loss of jobs for thousands of Middle class boat builders that had been employed in their manufacture. The net result was a loss in tax revenue and loss of employment for the men and women employed in the industry.

Ilk this. Plenty of people around here completely Grok what @roamer_1 is telling you.

Yes, we most certainly do.

He's telling us that holding our breath and turning "blue" is the ONLY thing that a Principled Conservative will do unless the candidate is 100.000000000000000000000000000000% Aryan Pure.

He's telling us that the Never Trumpers really do exist in a idea-sterile plastic bubble of ineffectuality and that their religion is the ONLY True Religion and they damn well lack the imagination and maturity to realize that if not all roads lead to Amber, there's certainly more than one road to get there, but what they don't see is that road they want to travel doesn't get there at all.

I don't give a single sh*t about your sniveling. I care about results. If he was betrayed, the problem is letting those in that betrayed him. That's your fault. Even if I accepted half of the nonsense you're dropping your panties for, which I really don't, YOU GOT NOTHING. It's ALL GONE. None of it was permanent. NONE.
That is called a waste of time.

Even if he were the messiah you consider him SO WHAT? You STILL got NOTHING.
You can swoon and mourn and bawl your eyes out, but the point is the only truth. YOU_GOT_NOTHING.

My God, y'all. It's like a frat party, and now you got the hangover.
You still don't understand, because you are all pissed at me for harming the virtue of Orange_Man_Great.
That ain't the point.
The point is that you got nothing.
And that is your own fault. Not mine.

Well roamer, you go to war with the army you have...
NOW DO YOU HEAR ME? The army you have is what cut your throat and stabbed you in the back.

Y'alls entire way of voting brought this on.. Y'all DID this.
Even if your messiah was a messiah (which is bullcrap), Your own party cut him to pieces. That's YOUR fault.

But y'all won't hear me. watch and see Y'all will do it all again next time... Exactly the same way.

Absolute horseshit.
I stand upon the things y'all say you defend.
Which of them will be thrown under the bus NEXT TIME to absolutely no avail.
Y'all defend nothing without defending all. That is the very POINT of Conservatism in politics - To strengthen each faction the other. That is what you will not do.

That is not purity. It is not hard to find a candidate that will work for all the factions. That's all you need to do.
But y'all won't. You compromise and lose every time. Even when you win.

The purity you discard is the very agreement between Conservative factions. The very things that bind us together.
I will never agree to that. And why would I? it never works anyway.

YOU GOT NOTHING.

As @roamer_1 has pointed out several times ; the GOP offers NO OPPOSITION!!! I absolutely agree.  They may rant and rave, but when push comes to shove they do nothing.  The GOP had the SUPER majority for years and did nothing. They made no headway, the only headway that they made was to empower the liberals even more.

I will not vote for anyone who is not a conservative and I have ALWAYS voted for the candidate that I thought would move this country in a positive direction -- even if it means voting 3rd party.

Until conservatives find a way to prevent another election from being stolen all talk about the future of the GOP in 2022 is nothing but a bunch of hot air and it's like watching a hamster spin its wheel inside his cage.

As I said, all the way along.

That is why executive orders don't count.
That is why RINO Republicans ain't better than Democrats. They make your party incapable of fighting anything.
That is why Republicans have not won on a single Conservative issue IN MY LIFE.

Well, I am not giving up on them just yet.  I got a second wind when I became a geezer, retired, and moved to a County full of like-minded people.  The folks started off pizzed at the Governor and AG let the Rats get away with stealing the AZ election, but since then we're outnumbering the Rats in voter registration by many times (In a one month period, the AZ State GOP picked up 11,000 new registrants, and the Rats got about 1,800).

This is not the sound of feet running out of the building.

Let's see if my optimism survives the weekend.  I have a GOP State Executive Board meeting in Tucson, so I'll be facing off with the RINOs in Phoenix and Tucson.  I like the playing field, because Mohave County has the same number of voting members as Maricopa.  Three, and I'm the sled dog with a view.

Let's see if the tail can wag that ol' dawg.

Like I said, more power to you. But face it. Phoenix and Tucson own AZ. Likely the best you can do is buttress what you can against them. If you do that much you will have done more than most. But state houses and federal elections... Unless you can set up something like an electoral college for your state it will go the same way as CA and IL. The fat population centers have al the advantage.

Same here btw. Butte/Bozeman/Billings, Great Falls, Helena, and Missoula run the state. there ain't nothing for it. And they are all liberal strongholds.

That's an age-old problem.  Here, Phoenix was a reliable R base not many years ago.  They can be moved, but Pima County (Tucson) has been a hopeless wreck since I relocated to AZ in 1980.

It's very helpful that Kelli Ward, the State Chairman, is from Lake Havasu City (just down the Colorado River from Bullhead City, in my County).  After I get elected First Vice Chairman of the County, she cornered me and told me she'd better be seeing my ass (and hearing my mouth) in these state board meetings.  I had a nice chat with her at the fundraising dinner we had in Laughlin, and she heard some of my worthless advice.  I say "heard" because she checked what I suggested, and that defeated her enemies efforts to throw her out of her Chair.  I'm a quick study of Bylaws.

I'd bet some money dear friend Kelli is going to owe me something after this weekend.  Don't ask, it's complicated....

No.

Trump showed the lie of the people who said those who stand for the American Way (not "Stand"...see my previous post) are primitive barbarians (some demented fool recently labeled them as "Neanderthals", but some female with a mattress on her back shushed him...).

Trump merely told the Americans that they're right to be Americans and all they needed was someone to fight for them, not to Stand on them.

The people busy Standing around supporting the enema ....er enemy, are those people who are not only ashamed to be thought of as an American, but willing to help the people dragging America down, using Aryan Purity tests as their excuse.  They don't want to admit that curing cancer takes time and effort, when it can be done at all.   They're cheering for the tumor and bumping the surgeon's elbow, happily so, in fact.

Anyone see these PC NT clowns complain about the Traitor they helped steal the election?

Those HACKS are not "the GOP".  Those are the deceiving fools who got elected by lying to the GOP voters and then abusing them.

Ever read "Animal Farm"?   The Stalinistic Pigs were quite happy to lie to the animals to get them to work, and the stolid old horse was one who Truly Believed, and the Pigs took advantage of him and worked him to death then callously sold him to the knackers.

Today's RINO's are those same Stalinist pigs, and their Useful Idiot Principled Conservative Never Trumping jerk butt-lickers are more than happy to pretend its "the GOP" that's the problem, when the problem is the RINOs and the PC NT's.

The GOP membership exists to put Americans into office, and they can't do that if fools insist on giving up and quitting.

The other thing to note, of course, is that quitting is exactly what the Enemy wants you to do.

The only "purity" I expect from a conservative candidate is to be militantly Right to Life, to be militantly free market and to be most militantly pro-defense and anti-Invasion.    The budget cannot be fixed until we get enough of these kinds of people in office, and we can't get them elected if we run off and pout like the PC NT BL's want us to do.

It ain't conservatives that shut the country off. It sure as hell ain't conservatives spending at twice the rate of Obummer. Without defending the principles that are supposed to guide you, soon you are no better than that which you are fighting. You BECOME them. That particular rubicon has been crossed.

Those HACKS are not "the GOP".  Those are the deceiving fools who got elected by lying to the GOP voters and then abusing them.

YES, in fact, they ARE the GOP, and have been nearly the whole time since Reagan left office. 94 Congress and the Tea Party are the only times that has been threatened at all - And y'all keep on voting them moderates back into power.
And you will sommore.

Face it. The GOP does not want Goldwater/Reagan leadership, or it would have it. Y'all are content to hyphenate conservatism and cherrypick the easy parts. That's why a tax cut is FINE with y'all even though spending went through the roof. 8th grade math should show that error plain enough.

That's why shutting OFF the country is FINE with y'all... No concern for liberty, and no concern for fiscal conservatism, so long as your guy is doing it.

Quote
The GOP membership exists to put Americans into office, and they can't do that if fools insist on giving up and quitting.

Around here, no success in thirty years would be called 'beating a dead horse'... And at this point the statistical probability of a 3rd party doing better is in the margin of error.

I didn't quit y'all... Y'all quit me... As is perfectly apparent in your disgust with principles.

Quote
The other thing to note, of course, is that quitting is exactly what the Enemy wants you to do.

Why would that be? The Republicans are feckless lapdogs to the Democrats

You wont have a country anymore if the next Republican administration spends like the last two. And quit acting like there is a budget. the Fed has been operating on continuing resolutions since Clinton.

It is quite the other way around. The only way this government is going back in the box is to choke the air off - That is money. Shut off the money and it can't do anything else. Keep it shut off, and it will shrink. That is not what you are doing.

Thanks, it's in my queue. It ain't that I am 'into it' as much as somebody has to push back. And getting on teamviewer with me is probably going to be a mistake. It was fun. Made my whole day. There's something about the smell of nuked phone-scammer machines that just gives me the fizz.  :silly:

With your skills, you might get some pointers from the Master. (Kitboga).

I just tossed a Ritz cracker at Chewy... He missed it and being round (the cracker more particularly than the dog) it rolled out of his immediate reach.

So he is laying there, I swear, staring at it and trying to get his Jedi mind tricks to make it float over to him.
HAHAHAHA! It's so funny. he is concentrating so hard...
I don't know why he tries. It's only worked a couple times.

Yeah, I will probably watch him a bit just for kicks. Believe it or not, I spend very little time in computing for entertainment. If I have a hack to do, that ain't entertainment. That's a stack of white-papers as deep as your arm, endless wandering through hacker sites and forums, and endless time trying tools or writing my own...

Most of that stuff is pretty old-hat to me. And it is more work than fun.

Lets get back on Track to Infrastructure Wednesdays, shall we.  Isn't it somewhat refreshing to have this BS pushed to the middle of the week,   Monday's are always a drag, even without the Infrastructure crap.

Glad Chewy got rid of that damned door bell commerical.  Tired of them activating my dog.

My daughter walked our Siberian/Great Pyrenees mix.  Found out that the dog barks when she's outside and hears the doorbell ring, too.

@Bigun

Tax increases NEVER raise what they project because they are based on static revenue analysis, i.e.-  the assumption that changes in tax rates will not alter taxpayer behavior in a quantifiable way.

Progressives adhere to this way of thinking not because they believe it, but because it is politically useful.
That is an easy one to refute.

Of course Dems know tax rates alter taxpayer behavior.

Case in point is the new so-called infrastructure bill which imposes new taxes to offset the decline in gasoline taxes due to the decline in gasoline consumption due to more electric vehicles.

I think what you meant is they want us to believe there is not any change in behavior.

False. I consider you lot every bit as damaging as the Democrats.

Obviously not.   You don't like ME or the conservatives, but you shore do like pushing the Rodent line.

NOT 'obviously not' You spend just as much as they do. Where the hell does the money go? Follow that into the omnibus bills and find out how much Liberalism you SUPPORT as a matter of law.

I ain't pushing a single Democrat line. I am AGAINST big government, no matter which side of the aisle loves it. And there is no denying - Tumpism is big government.

And as a point of order - Big government is NOT a Conservative attribute.

And as for my supposed dislike of you personally - That's not true. I don't know you well enough to make such a determination. I do find your arguments rather one-dimensional and ill-considered. But that may change.

Proving my point, again.

You have no idea what spending I approve of or disapprove of.

Since I'm a real conservative, I'm certain the idea confounds you.

What I DO approve of is fixing the country.  Which has more and bigger problems than CONGRESS'S OPM addiction.

Since I am not PC, unlike you, my motivations and goals are a mystery to you.  And you don't try to learn them, you're too busy being racist against Orange-People.

Your vote is your endorsement. That is what it is. You APPROVED.

No, Conservatism by definition (as it touches politics) is the support and solidarity among the various factions of Goldwater/Reagan Conservatism. That is what Conservatism IS. That is not what you are doing.

OK. You fixed nothing. And it cost twenty trillion dollars - TWICE the rate of liberal spending of Obummer. TWICE AS MUCH. What the hell did that fix?

Ahhh. The vaunted 5 dimensional chess.

Says here: You got nothing. you fixed nothing. You spent MORE than the last Democrat administration.

winning.  *****rollingeyes*****

If that is 'Saving America' somehow - You suck at it.
