Sarah Palin assailed fellow Republicans on Friday for failing to support Donald Trump as their party's presumptive nominee, suggesting that they feel "threatened." Her message: You're either with us or you're against us.
"That gang, they call themselves Never hashtag, whatever, I just call ‘em Republicans Against Trump, or RAT for short," the former governor of Alaska told attendees of the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, ahead of Trump's address.
Recalling a past speech she was asked to give at an event that went unnamed, the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate related that the topic of her address was to be on "How is Trump winning" but "more specifically, it was, ‘Why, oh, why is Trump winning?"

I would go to extreme measures to keep her from endorsing me if I were running for office. At some point, her brain deteriorated to the point she can't make sensible complete sentences. She is a mess in speaking and dressing. Her appearance and demeanor looks/sounds as though she just left the neighborhood bar after numerous straight shots. I had no feeling about her one way or the other when she came on the scene those years ago. Now, she is a basket case and an embarrassment to watch/hear.

Land management in the hands of the states can be a struggle as well but its a struggle that we the people have a stronger hand in than we do against the feds. Here in Michigan its a constant fight but we do allow limited logging and oil and gas drilling on state lands. We also require the state to pay taxes (give a tax break) to the townships and counties the state lands are in. Also here in Michigan our state parks are far superior to our national parks as far as upkeep and facilities are concerned.

Actually, Trump was being pretty stupid considering what was going on at the time. Yes, it was costly to be there, but it was still the Cold War and there were huge strategic advantages to our doing as we did. It was the best way to a) keep them in line, and b) keep our forces well forward so that we could respond effectively should the balloon go up. And most importantly, c) it kept us in charge at a time when the brunt of any war with the Soviet Union would inevitably fall upon us.

We're not sore losers, TS, we're opposing Trump out of principle, in my case to turn back the alt-right and reclaim the GOP for responsible conservatism. There is a rational argument (which has been made here many times by a variety of posters) that a Hillary presidency fought tooth and nail by Republicans will be less damaging to the conservative cause than a Trump Presidency. If someone believes that, then opposition to Trump is not based on pure emotion.
I personally don't find that argument convincing at this point, but it's certainly within the realm of reasoned disagreement.
Also, if you're going to play the "I'm more rational than you" card, you may wish to reconsider reflexively defending every single thing Trump says or does. The inability of his supporters to see/acknowledge any of those flaws makes the prospect of his presidency that much more troubling to the rest of us.

RNC Member Randy Evans who is heading up Trump's whip team told the Wall Street Journal that Trump had just 890 committed delegates, well short of the 1237 needed to be nominee. As reported in the Wall Street Journal, “Mr. Evans’s count shows just about 890 delegates are personally loyal to the New Yorker. Another 680 oppose Mr. Trump. That leaves 900 delegates who are presumed to be “in play,” he said.”
Delegates Unbound co-founder Dane Waters stated, “These numbers make clear why the Trump campaign is resorting to working with a Democratic Attorney General to strip RNC delegates of their right to vote for someone other than Donald J. Trump.”
As Delegates Unbound reported yesterday, the vice chairman of Trump’s Virginia campaign, John Fredericks, has filed to intervene in a lawsuit by Virginia Republican Delegate Beau Carroll. Carroll sued to ensure all Virginia delegates to the Republican National Convention maintain their right under Republican National Committee rules and bylaws to cast ballots for candidates according to their consciences.
Trump has claimed such efforts are “illegal,” and the Fredericks filing claims Republican delegates should face possible civil and criminal penalties if they choose to vote for a candidate other than Trump. “These numbers must be the reason that the Trump campaign has dispatched their convention parliamentarian to Richmond to testify against the independence of political parties. Clearly this litigation, and these numbers, have them rattled”, stated Eric O’Keefe, cofounder of Delegates Unbound.
This news comes on the heels of a new Reuters/Ipsos poll that shows Trump trailing Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton by 13 points, a gap that has widened in recent weeks. Waters added, "Defeating Hillary Clinton should be the Republican National Convention’s highest priority in 2016, and that is more likely to happen if delegates follow their conscience when considering all the factors available by the time the convention starts."
These factors include not just Mr. Trump’s performance so far in the primaries, caucuses, and conventions, but also his support among the electorate and electability, the impact his nomination could have on U.S. Senate and House candidates, his fundraising and campaign organization, his temperament, and whether he would uphold Republican values in office. "If Trump truly has the support he and his supporters say, then he should have nothing to be concerned about if delegates retain their traditional freedom to vote their consciences," added Waters.

recent declassification of these documents in the United States and Israel, however, researchers have gained

diplomatic correspondence, and memoranda from both the State Department and the White House. With
the aid of these materials, the attack on the Liberty can now be reconstructed virtually minute-by-minute
and with remarkable detail. The picture that emerges is not one of crime at all, nor even of criminal negligence,
but of a string of failed communications, human errors, unfortunate coincidences and equipment failures on
both the American and Israeli sides - the kind of tragic, senseless mistake that is all too common in the
thick of war . . .
The release of hitherto classified papers on the incident . . . now enables us to dispel spurious
theories about the incident, and to conclude that Israel's assault upon the USS Liberty was a tragic error,
and nothing more. In light of the new documents, it is now possible to reconstruct the chain of mishaps on
the part of both sides that led to the unintended Israeli attack.
The incident began with the ill-conceived decision to send the Liberty to the crisis-torn Middle East, a mere
half-mile beyond Egyptian waters, in an area not used by commercial shipping and which (Egyptian leader
Gamal Abdul) Nasser had declared off-limits to neutral vessels. The Americans did not accede to Chief of Staff
(Yitzhak) Rabin's request for the identification of all U.S. ships in the area or Ambassador Harman's request
for a strategic liaison between Israel and the Sixth Fleet. The Liberty's dispatchers, meanwhile, overrode naval
orders to keep the ship in Spain, and then failed to inform the U.S. attaché in Tel Aviv of its presence near the
war zone. These mistakes were compounded by the navy's communications system, which delayed by as much
as two days orders to the Liberty to withdraw 100 miles from the coast. Even after it was hit, the Americans
had difficulty locating the Liberty, the JCS placing it at "60-100 miles north of Egypt." If neither Castle, nor
CINCEUR, nor even the President of the United States could know where the Liberty was, it seems unreasonable
to expect that the Israelis, in the thick of battle, should have been able to locate it.
The Israelis, too, committed their own share of fateful errors, as the Yerushalmi report points out: The erroneous
reports of bombardment at El-Arish, the failure to replace the Liberty's marker on the board after it had been cleared,
the over-eagerness of naval commanders, and worst of all, Ensign Yifrah's miscalculation of the ship's speed.
Though Yerushalmi's report suggested reasons for these errors - inflexible naval procedures, the inaccuracy of
speed-measuring devices - one is still left with a sense of poor organization and sloppy execution. Moreover, there
were breakdowns in communications between the Israeli navy and air force stemming from inadequate command
structure and the immense pressures of a multi-front war. To these factors must be added Israel's general sensitivity

least fifty Israeli soldiers in the Six Day War, and caused 5,373 American casualties in Vietnam in 1967 alone.
Obviously, these findings can do little to lessen the suffering of those American servicemen who were wounded
in the incident, nor can they be expected to offer comfort to the families of the dead. But they should at least
permit us to bring to a close what has for a generation remained one of the most painful chapters in the history
of America's relationship with the State of Israel.

I was unaware of Ford getting paid for bombing damage after the war was over,but knew that GM sued the US government for bomb damage to their Opel plant (built trucks for the Nazi military) during WW-2,and actually won damage money to rebuild. Armand Hammer was more than a Big Al supporter. One of his nieces was the senior Goober's wife and handler. I had a period of my posting life when I just flat out refused to do Google searches for people. It was those few times it didn't make a darned bit of difference that wore me out. After a while, I compromised with myself and vowed not to make claims that I'm not willing to Google in the first place. Besides, I might find out I was wrong and I save myself an embarrassment. It slows me down but my responses tend to be more measured.

No matter what you post or the source of your link,nothing you ever post will be accepted as true by a true believer that is in LOVE with his own ideas,so why bother. This is especially true when it comes to links about polarizing politicians like those from the Bush and Clinton Crime Families. Their groupies are in LOVE,and there is nothing you can say,do,or post that will get them to change their minds.
The way I see it,it's enough to post enough details to provide the information needed so that anyone curious about it can do their own damn searches and make up their own damn minds.
