I would make it even tougher.  He has to know more about the constitution than what he tweeted this morning: "The #2A to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep & bear Arms shall not be infringed upon."

That is all he has ever quoted and seems all he knows about the constitution.  As the Chief Executive Officer of this very country, a President should know more than a few words of a single amendment.  Hell, the last time I heard him asked about the constitution, he couldn't even answer what the tree branches of government are.  The Orange Baffoon is a total ignoramus when it comes to the constitution.  At least Obama is overt about ignoring it.

The idiot actually thinks the VP will be his assistant that he sends out every day to make sure his orders are followed, and who screens his contacts. He doesn't have the knowledge of an informed 5th grader.

You seem to be in a really good mood today.  :silly:

Sorry. Been dealing with some anal neo-Nazi fool on another board, and he is a sensitive little flower that likes to shriek a lot when you point out he is nothing more than a pissy little bitch,so I have been keeping him happy.

LOL! Keep it up,I love it!

May make a few Trumpsters heads explode, though.

Not that that would be a bad thing, mind you. Providing of course you can have an explosion in a vacuum.

You are more than likely correct on the first part. Undeniably correct on the second!

Still - I set my terms as something which is achievable and, to me, slightly more important. Anything constitution related will be discussed and take time to be acted upon, but there are no do-overs and no spin doctors when the President is speaking to another head of state. He will have to get it right first time - every single time.

We have to expect the country's CEO to get the constitution right, understand its limitations and not ignore it.  We can no longer expect the buffoons in congress to defend and protect the constitution.

You make a good point, but from what I have seen and experienced, all you end up getting when you vote for a evil is more evil to vote for in the future.

I got tired of encouraging evil, and decided a  couple of elections ago I would only vote for candidates I actually WANT to see holding elective office. I will no longer be an accomplice to the destruction of this country by playing their fixed game.

@sneakypete

I agree and I respect that completely.

Though sometimes in the past the lesser evil hasn't exactly been evil, if you get my drift (especially in hindsight - Romney wasn't terrible. No comment on McCain - the Repubs could have put up the Lord Christ himself in 2008 and would have still lost against the "first black president" after 8 years of a Repub president, so losing with an incompetent, inept fool made sense in a twisted way.).

But still, the principle is as you said - vote for the lesser evil, the next time round the lesser evil is a little bigger. A little more blatant.

Besides - do you honestly think his Hairpiece can do what I ask? He's got no money for ads, and there are no slots to buy if he did have the cash. The only way to stay in the public eye is to keep saying stupid shit and getting "news" coverage.

How so? Articulate how the #neverTrump plan to Dump Trump is not suicide for the GOP thus ensuring a Hilary win?

Palin already articulated it for you.

We're AGAINST YOU and your prince, remember?

We're not for you.  We're against you.  You made us your enemies.  So be it.

Trump has put the final nails in the coffin of the GOP after it committed seppuku over the last 4 years by handing Obama his dictatorship and surrendering their duty to the Constitution.  Your boy is there to bury the carcass of your party on behalf of the one he supposedly is running against.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

@EC

I have thought and said since the day Trump announced that he was nothing more than Ross Perot,Part-2,and that he was being paid by his good friends the Clinton's to run a spoiler campaign, and then drop out after it was too late for  a replacement to gain any traction.

I also took into consideration the FACT that all modern presidents have put all of their finances into a blind trust while they are in office, and there is no way in  hell Trump is ever going to be willing to do that. He has since replied that he would do that by turning it all over to his daughter Ivanka to run,but you would have to be the most gullible fool in the world to believe he wouldn't be whispering secrets into her ear so she could score big on investments. No way in hell is the DNC going to let him get away with that, and there is no way he is ever going to comply. His ego needs him to be out there screwing people and "winning". Money is how he keeps score.

If he wins the alleged Republican nomination,as seems likely now,his payoff from the Clinton's will be enormous. IMHO,there is a slim chance his massive ego will convince him that he can win,but he can't,and that will be clear to even him long before November. When that happens he will definitely drop out because there is nothing in the world he fears more than being tagged as a "loser". He will drop out and spend the rest of his life bragging about how "I COULD have been the president of the US if I had wanted, but I decided the job was beneath me."

IMNSHO,that will be the death of the alleged Republican Party. I just don't see them recovering from that.

And the finaly payoff to The Orange One will be YUGE!

@mlizzy  - Don't you love the lie a few Trump supporters repeat ad nauseam that Cruz supporters now support Hillary?

It's a wonder some of these people don't burst into flames in Divine retribution for such overt, knowing deceit......

Yeah, no kiddin' @musiclady ~ They are picking up bad traits from their leader. He must have some sort of power over people, though, for them to do so, so readily. I think it's his $$ and whatever success he has had. That's what grabbed the eyes of his wives and thousands? of lovers.
America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. The power over people that certain 'leaders' have is hard for me to figure.

Usually it's charisma, but Trump is a boor and a vulgar creep, so what IS it that attracts his followers??

All I know is that some formerly polite, nice people have turned very ugly because of their love for Trump, and it's unnerving....

"Rational people" would not be issuing ultimatums like 'you are either with us or against us' on behalf of a NYC liberal Leftist billionaire whose entire campaign has been focused on going to war on Conservatives and petty idiocies and promises of vengeance and punishment.

"Rational people" don't shill for a demagogue who supported and funded both his opponent and a known communist for NYC mayor less than 3 years ago.

"Rational people" wouldn't be defending a trade policy which is verbatim exactly the same as both Hillary and Sanders' Trade policies, except theirs came out first.

"Rational people" would not be defending a lunatic who at a public rally and points out airliners and suggests that they are "Mexican Planes coming to attack us".

Oh and no YOU made us into the alleged bad guys.

Projection again.  We're not the ones who said 'either you are for us or against us'.

You wanted a war and fight - let's get it over with, because yo made us the enemy - we are working tirelessly to ensure your nominee is defeated by any and every means possible this November.

Because if we must have an enemy at the head of this tyranny ruling us - we want it to be someone we are not responsible for in any way - and someone we can oppose because the lines of demarcation are crystal clear.

I toyed with that idea. Even mentioned here to @musiclady very early on that Trump was running as a Dem caricature of a conservative, brought to life. I could never roll the six on it though.  Always figured his addiction to the chase was as good an explanation as any, especially since he'd had thoughts of running before.

Considering Ivanka is one of his most (if not THE MOST) trusted advisors, I expect you are right about the payoff should he actually get elected. Should Hillary win though? What could she even offer? That's always been my main sticking point with the idea he's a spoiler for the Clintons. Sure, Trump loves him some cash, but he also loves to flash it in your face. Can't do that with a back room payoff. Any gov't business thrown his way would be dug up almost immediately - he's made a LOT of enemies during the primary. Insider info? Not guaranteed enough and he's got his own sources anyways. Of course, he could always be doing it for shitz 'n giggles. Or I'm missing something blindingly obvious. That's always a high probability.

His supporters were being 'politically correct' before, because they thought they had to, but they never liked it.  Trump has shown them that they do not have to be politically correct.

So now you see them as they are in private.  Mean, spiteful, hate-filled, bigoted wretches that want *revenge* for every perceived slight. Much like Robespierre and the French Reign of Terror.

The term charisma doesn't necessary mean someone that is NOT a vulgar creep and boor.

[3][4][5] use the term "charisma" to describe a particular type of leader having "symbolic leader influence rooted in emotional and ideological foundations".]

It is said, for instance, that the anti-Christ will be so charismatic....that he will fool most of the people of the world.

Having influence can also be charismatic.....like a snake charmer....and like Lucifer.

Excellent point.  By voting for Trump, even if it is against Hillary, we would be making ourselves partially responsible for any further damage he might do to the nation.  Hmmm....got to think long and hard about this now.  Crap.

Yeah, and THIS time, with the Clintons back in the WH and running the alleged Justice Department,is going to be the time they are prosecuted for their crimes,FOR SURE!

They could brag about it in paid TV ads and nothing would happen, while Trump would almost certainly brag about how he outsmarted everybody and made billions from doing it.
