The Iranians have reportedly rebuilt damaged and destroyed defense industrial sites much faster than expected. That's according to US intelligence assessments cited in CNN, and based on anonymous officials. The Pakistan-mediated talks have been stalled, and each of the last several weeks has seen Washington issue updated peace conditions, only for Tehran to in return counter-issue its own demands. And round and round the indirect negotiation has gone, yet with no breakthrough, or not so much as a step forward.

 TV has obtained what it describes as the final draft of a prospective Pakistani mediated U.S.-Iran agreement, reportedly set to be announced within hours [It does not align with what I am hearing].

Key provisions include:
1) An immediate, comprehensive, and unconditional ceasefire on all fronts (land, sea, air)
2) Mutual commitment not to target military, civilian, or economic infrastructure
3) Cessation of military operations and instigating media warfare
3) Respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in internal affairs
4) Guaranteed freedom of navigation in the Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Sea of Oman
5) Establishment of a joint monitoring and dispute resolution mechanism
6) Launch of negotiations on outstanding issues within seven days
7) Gradual lifting of U.S. sanctions in exchange for Iran's adherence to the terms
8) Affirmation of compliance with international law and the UN Charter

The agreement is stated to enter into force immediately upon formal announcement by both parties.

Oh come on @DCPatriot  Iran was 2 weeks away from have nuclear capabilities -- yes we went in an bombed their bunkers -- whether or not we hit all of them is doubtful, so they simply use bunkers that haven't been busted or they clear out the bunkers and reload.  Meanwhile, China, Russia and Pakistan are certainly helping Iran.

Secondly, the Strait of Hormuz is still somewhat under Iranian control.  They still have uranium.  They want their $$ unfrozen.  Don't you see anything wrong with that picture???

P.S. I don't hate Trump ... but he has bungled this conflict BIGLY!!

Generals and others have told Trump not to trust Iran and that they are only using this time to rebuild, restrengthen and rearm.  Don't you see anything wrong with Trump not moving??? Especially since he continues to repeatedly kick the can down the road.

Something very  wrong is going on in the Trump circle and IMO it IS endangering our troops and our country and the innocents that continue to be slaughtered by the leadership of Iran.

He's showing the entire world and their suck-azz media that he's gone above/beyond to get Iran to end this 'peacefully'

I'm loading up on popcorn...because IMO, the shooting is going to start real soon...primarily the infrastructure of truck/rail routes toward their EAST to Pakistan...along with parts of Kharg Island's depots.

Trump ran for POTUS based on his seeming to understand the perils of war, and especially the perils of getting bogged down in a Middle East war. Now he is about to deliver the mother of all TACOs by signing an agreement that legitimizes the most brutal regime in the world.

No, he should not escalate.  He should not have gotten involved in the first place. Now his hand is in the coconut, and the only way to get it out is to surrender his legacy (a la GWB) by escalating, or reward the mullahs with permanency.

If we have "won" this war, how is it that we cannot secure a simple little strait in which every other country in the region has a vested interest in keeping it secure?  By showing that we cannot secure Hormuz, we have demonstrated to the rest of the world just how inept and inert our military really is. It was all so unnecessary and shameful.

Literally tens of thousands of freedom-loving Iranians have been slaughtered, and Trump is going to give the murderers billions in war reparations, plus legitimacy in international trade in exchange for opening Hormuz and a moratorium on uranium enrichment. That is what a TACO tastes like.

If true then why did 47 even bother? The only thing these 'terms' seem to indicate is the Straits will be open as they were before 47 stepped in it. So it the larger scheme of things, all will be normal as before. Iran graciously accepts negotiations on "outstanding issues" - the Mullahs and the IRGC will remain in charge, and continue to slaughter Persians.

Then its more stalling, aka 'negotiations,' until Iran has at least a handful of nukes to use as the please, when they please, on targets that please them: special delivery IRBM package to Israel and another special delivery ICBM to NYC.

If 47 takes this deal, then he's a blowhard fool.

I don't recall Iran charging a toll to use the Strait before.  I could be wrong, but I doubt it.  Trump won't take the deal, but won't matter if he doesn't back up his position.
