Дарина Халперина • 16h'I want to Live' is the Ukrainian initiative under Ukraine’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, supported by the Ministry of Defense and Military Intelligence.
The group stated that the internal Russian documents were handed over by “concerned Russians.”
“Official records on social guarantees for families of the dead and missing soldiers of the 41st Army, and data on criminal cases related to AWOLs (unauthorized absence from military units), as of June 1, 2025, show, there are
at least 8,625 killed, 10,491 missing, and 7,846 deserters from the 41st Army,” the statement said.
The army’s core includes the 35th, 74th, 55th, and 137th motorized rifle brigades, recruited from the Kemerovo, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk oblasts, as well as Khakassia, Altai Krai, and Tuva.
“All units are being killed or continue to be killed near the town of Pokrovsk," the project added.
"The 74th Brigade from Kemerovo Oblast has suffered the heaviest losses:
2,479 killed, 2,732 missing, and 2,789 wanted for desertion.”
Based on pre-war Russian military structure, with each motorized rifle brigade typically numbering around 3,500 personnel, the 74th Brigade alone has lost the equivalent of two full rotations . . .
