Like you're programmed to believe WWII never ended and our true destiny is to die protecting the civilization that has blessed the world with socialism, marxism, fascism, nazism, globalism and more than one hundred million dead in just one century?   Like you're programmed to believe the war in 1776 wasn't *really* about America's independence?

What do you want to know about why WWII happened? Cause we didn't balls to stand up to Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and USSR (our fake allies) before it got bloody. Have you heard of Neville Chamberlain?

You're unable to see today's world as it actually exists.  It isn't helpful, but I hope this at least brings you comfort.

That's rich coming from somebody who lives in unicorn and fairytale land.

What's this "we" sh!t?    Half of Europe was fine with Hitler.

Today, if Europe seriously thinks Russia is the threat many here claim it is, why were Germany, France, Belgium, and Spain key importers of Russian LNG in 2024?

I agree with you.  I see China as the threat of our lifetime, not Russia. Russia grows stronger as China grows stronger.

I think saving the United States from falling to China is the biggest challenge of our lifetime. --- a challenge we are not fully prepared for --- not militarily, financially, technologically, or psychologically.  We don't have the luxury of squandering more of what we need for our own survival on yet another European misadventure.

Personally, I'm past the insistence that we owe Europe unquestioned military and financial support every time they rip off one of their peace bandaids and start to bleed  --- *and* the antiquated NATO Treaty still promoting this BS.

END GAME Putin declares he can ‘finish off’ Ukraine in brazen defiance of Trump – as he boards nuke sub and unleashes new strikes
The SUN by Georgie English Sayan Bose  Updated: 11:36 ET, Mar 28 2025

A MENACING Vladimir Putin has defied Donald Trump and declared he can "finish off" Ukraine despite an impending ceasefire.

The brutal tyrant has also unleashed a wave of fresh strikes on civilian targets and retaken a border village in Kursk.

Putin made the threat while visiting a nuclear submarine base in Russia's frozen north - just a week after Sir Keir Starmer had a similar visit.

He launched a new nuclear submarine named the Perm - the first of its kind to be equipped with hypersonic Zircon missiles as a standard feature.

Vlad brushed aside peace moves declaring: “Not long ago I said we’d grind them [Ukraine] down — now it looks like we’ll finish them off.”

Putin also called for Volodymyr Zelensky to be ousted by generals and replaced by an internationally-supervised provisional government to hold elections.

The tyrant's threats come as his forces bombed a liquid gas facility in the latest violation of pledges to halt such strikes.

Vlad's forces also bombed a hospital in what Kyiv labelled as a "war crime".

And it was yesterday that I read that Putin really, really wanted peace. What to  believe??
I don't blame the Ukraine for being skeptical. I know I am and hopefully DJT is as well.

Why is Europe still defining Western Civilization?

Your civilization is being defined by Europe only if you use the metric system, have parliamentary government, eschew rugged individualism, and expect nanny Government to cradle you from birth to grave.

Abusing geese to make foie gras, eating smelly cheese, drinking wine, and indulging socialist sloth does not make a society 'civilized'.

America defends Europe because some of our money is over there.  It's more 'noble' to espouse 'preserving civilization' than it is to rally Americans around defending J.P. Morgan's foreign investments.

No, America defends Europe because of the lessons of World War II and 1930s appeasement, and also with the understanding that the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are no longer natural protective barriers against foreign attack against CONUS, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.

The Ukraine War is one of the best bargains America can get.

No American troops are getting injured or killed, Ukrainians (and foreign volunteers) are doing all the fighting and dying. (You can thank them for keeping Russia back, because if Putin had conquered Ukraine, he'd be attacking and invading the Baltic Countries as we speak!) All they ask is proper financial and military help, and they'll do all the dirty work.

In return, America gets to test its weapons systems under real-world battle conditions (something difficult to replicate in peacetime), gets to study Russian signals intel and Russian war tactics up-close, and gets to observe cutting-edge military tactics that are changing warfare (e.g, drone warfare). America also gets a helpful reminder of its weaknesses (like armament production) ... something far better to know now, than during a real war with, say, China.

Useful military tactical and strategic returns with no American lives lost ... that's a smart investment!!

The same reason the United States is a key importer of Chinese manufactured goods.

Nonsense.  The "antiquated NATO Treaty" has kept the peace in Western Europe for three-quarters of a century.  And if Ukraine had been granted entry ten years ago, there would be no war right now.

These Ukrainian women survived Putin’s prisons – now they’re taking revenge

Former POWs use their suffering as fuel to throw themselves back into the fight against Russia with more determination than ever

Verity Bowman, Kramatorsk  |  28 March 2025  |  6:00am GMT

In the front line city of Kramatorsk, a Ukrainian woman who endured torture and humiliation in Russian captivity is making a vow of revenge.

“Before captivity, I was angry at the Russians,” said Snizhana Vasylivna Ostapenko, a 23-year-old soldier who was held by Moscow for five months. “Now it’s true hatred and a desire to have revenge for what they’ve done to our country and our people.”

Earlier this year, Ms Ostapenko spoke out on the horrors she had been subjected to during her incarceration. Her account, along with those given by several other women taken as POWs, revealed a systematic campaign of abuse.

They described being beaten and denied medical care, as well as being forced to march naked in the snow and expose themselves to their captors – evidence of what are almost certainly war crimes.

The Telegraph travelled to Ukraine to find out how these women had learned to live with their trauma and found they had thrown themselves back into the fight against Russia and were more determined than ever to thwart Vladimir Putin’s invasion.

Far from letting their trauma beat them, they have turned their experiences into a source of strength.  .  .  .

Ukrainian Forces Destroy Dozen of Russian Tanks, Including T-90M, in One Blow Near Andriivka

Lucile Brizard  |  Mar 28, 2025  |  17:24

On March 28, Ukrainian units successfully repelled a rare large-scale Russian armored assault near Andriivka, in the Pokrovsky direction, destroying an entire column of 12 armored vehicles, according to Militarnyi.

The attack, described as one of the most intense in recent weeks, involved a Russian column advancing with visible flags—a tactic not seen in recent operations. Ukrainian drone unit “Birds of Magyar” and the 35th Regional Military Brigade were credited with halting and eliminating the armored convoy. Photographs and footage purportedly showing the aftermath of the destruction were circulated by a Lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the call sign Alek.

The lieutenant shared several photos of the destroyed enemy equipment and noted that it had been a long time since Russian forces had deployed such a large number of armored vehicles at once in the Kryvyi Rih direction.

According to him, the situation near Andriivka in the Pokrovsk sector was intense, with Russian troops launching an assault  .  .  .

I hope you realize that Russia (your favorite country) is allied with China. Yes, China is a threat, but I have a feeling that Trump will say that Xi is a swell guy like he does with Putin. But Russia and China are joined at the hip. So, if we don't stop Russia, it will give a clear signal for China to invade Taiwan.

Reporting From Ukraine:
https://www.youtube.com/@RFU/videos

The excerpts from the video transcript.

[ Chaos in Belgorod! Ukrainians Open a New Front Inside Russia!]

Today [ Mar 27, 8 pm ], there is interesting news from the Russian Federation. Ukraine conducted another daring assault on enemy territory, as Russian forces were throwing in everything they had to sabotage the Ukrainian withdrawal from Kursk. The new Ukrainian operation sought to disrupt the focus of Russian commanders, forcing them to split their resources. Russia had concentrated forces on Kursk, attempting to pin down Ukrainian troops and inflict heavy losses during their withdrawal.

A well-executed retreat in good order was critical for Ukraine, not only to preserve manpower and equipment, but to prevent Russia from gaining dangerous momentum and achieving a breakthrough into Sumy Oblast. The Belgorod incursion served as a pressure valve, forcing the Russian command to react and redeploy forces away from Kursk. By striking at Russian border settlements, the choice of Belgorod was important, close enough to the Kursk front to force a reaction, but distant enough to prevent an immediate Russian counteroffensive.

By the time of the Belgorod operation, Ukraine had already pulled back most of its forces from Kursk, including its elite assault units, special forces, artillery, and Western armored vehicles. These assets had been held in reserve, due to Russian FPV fiber optics drone activity in the Kursk sector, and were available for a high-intensity diversionary strike. This allowed Ukraine to deploy refreshed, well-equipped troops in an unexpected sector, overwhelming Russian defenses.

Despite being a limited operation, the Belgorod incursion caused alarm among Russian analysts and military journalists. Prominent Russian military analysts expressed deep concern over the incursions, while reports indicated that the Russian high command had begun shifting forces from Kursk to Belgorod, precisely the outcome Ukraine sought. Ukraine’s Belgorod incursion quickly achieved its primary objective, diverting Russian attention and resources away from Kursk. By forcing the enemy to react, Ukraine ensured that its withdrawal in Kursk continued in an organized manner, while also demonstrating its ability to strike deep into Russian territory repeatedly. Whether this operation expands further remains uncertain, but its immediate effect is undeniable: Russia is now on the defensive, scrambling to create a task force in another direction to contain yet another Ukrainian breakthrough.
