100% right.  The job these errant pollsters have to do now, is some how and gradually take the finger off the scale, to save face.  Any pollster at the end, that is out of the MOE, has some serious 'splaing to do.

Well, that used to be how it was done but times have changed and I'm not sure any finger will be lifted this time..

Admittedly my memory isn't as good as it once was but I do seem to remember many polling outfits lifting their fingers a bit near the end  in 2020 but CBS, NBC, ABC, and FAUX NEWS weren't among them for sure.  Those outfits no longer care what we think of them.

The polls just enable them to set the correction factors for the tabulation devices, with a margin of 'safety' so any emergency influx can be brought in on a smaller truck.
