Winning the popular vote isn't what matters.  Trump needs to win the electoral vote....GA and PA are in play and honestly I think TX as well.

The popular vote does not decide the election, but since we can estimate the electoral college bias, the national polling is still useful in determining which way the swing states will fall.  They normally fall in the same direction.  If Trump manages to break even with the popular vote, he has a 95% chance of getting 270 EVs.  Harris needs to win by 4.5% to have the same level of confidence.

Maybe I'm jaded but I see the polls as a tool to set up the mindset that this could 'go either way' and put the election in steal range.

I live in a relatively sane part of the US, so those in my 'bubble' are not supporting Harris.
Government employees might because government expansion is opportunity for them to move up (and collect more of our tax dollars).

Anyone who ever paid their bills in the last 10 years who earned the money would, given even a high double digit IQ, see that this Administration and its policies have hurt them economically and otherwise, and that was with the relatively competent (if crooked) Biden at the helm for at least part of that. Harris bodes them no better, and you don't have to be a genius to figure that out.

Unfortunately, it appears that thinking for yourself is no longer an American trait. Maybe the illegals will hammer the detriment of a Harris Administration home before the election.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. How the F%^K is Texas in play? Seriously do they understand the illegal immigrant problem? Did they forget the southern border?

Hold on here ... whether you want to believe it or not ILLEGALS do vote. No, not all of them, but believe me, the DEMS are hard at work getting as many of them to vote as possible. That is why I am so opposed to Abbott flying them all over -- that gives them all an opportunity to vote.

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/05/18/gop-sounds-alarm-on-noncitizen-voting-in-its-2024-election-strategy-00158774

https://stateline.org/2024/05/06/though-noncitizens-can-vote-in-few-local-elections-gop-goes-big-to-make-it-illegal/

I have seen it firsthand.....several election cycles ago I went in to my local voting precinct -- all that was needed to register to vote was proof of residency; electric bill, water bill, Sam's club card, etc., -- not citizenship, but residency.  Yes, FL state election laws have changed since then, but it does happen in other parts of the country.

Why do you think that the Biden/Harris administration have let over 8,000,000 ILLEGALS into this country?  It's not that they feel compassion for these people; it's all about potential votes.

Reuters and Morning Consult at it again with Harris at now +5.  These results will be used to create a narrative of Kamala's unstoppable post-debate momentum.

But these polls only represent 1-point moves left by pollsters who are already well left of everyone else.

Polls, almost all of them are not to be trusted.  Take Pew for example, which is heavily funded by George Soros.

The only poll I trust is Trafalgar Group.  No other!!!

Trafalgar has a poll on their website showing Trump has a 0.3% + in the Swing States, Post Debate.

It's because there is no Republican on the ballot.

Kamel-uh enjoys her debate win (technically), while DJT rightfully comes across winning the court of popular opinion by being a victim of a biased debate.  This is in the same boat as the law-fare.   Unintended consequences.

They say Harris is winning by 6.

Hidden in Harris /Forbes poll yesterday is this little tidbit of demo.....

Dem- 41%
GOP- 36%
Indy-23%

Polls have been triggered into dim oversampling  action just like the vote counting adjustments early in the morning after the '20 elections.

They are doing their damnest to give legitmacy to Harris  and invoke the bandwaggoning tactics for her in desperation.

DEMS desperate??  IF indeed they are it's their own fault.  Biden??? Harris??  Seriously?  There's more to this charade.  Two puppets marching to the Soros/Obama drum...massive ILLEGAL migration, climate hoax and gun confiscation all to control the populace.  Trump is standing in their way obviously, otherwise they wouldn't have tried twice now to take him out, nor all the court proceedings, etc.

It was to give unscrupulous pollsters media cover to ratchet things further left.

True (RV)...  but was think LV vs. RV.  In that area, it's almost even on a weighted average.

Want another data point that shows the polls are way off?

Today DJT almost won 60% of the Teamster vote.  This from a seriously democratic leaning voter bloc.  First time they didn't endorse a dim since Clinton-Dole in '96.

I think the polls this year are as unbiased as a ABC POTUS debate.

John Nolte19 Sep 2024

The latest polling from Rasmussen Reports shows no debate fallout for Donald Trump. The former president still leads sitting Vice President Kamala Harris nationally by two points, 49 to 47 percent.

“This is our first survey to fully reflect the impact of the September 10 televised debate between the two candidates,” writes Rasmussen, “and there has been no major change since last week when Trump held the same 49% to 47% lead over Harris.”

At the beginning of September, in this same poll, Trump led Harris by only a single point. He has held a two-point lead for two weeks in a row now.

Rasmussen surveyed 1,855 likely voters on September 12 and 15-18. The debate was held on September 10.

The internals look very good for Trump. He earns 30 percent of black support to Kamala’s 65 percent. (That should be closer to 12 to 88 percent.) He is only down with Hispanics by four points, 44 to 48 percent. He leads with independents by four points, 49 to 45 percent.

In the age demo, Harris leads by only a single point among 18-39 year-olds, 47 to 46 percent. Among those 40-64 years old, Trump is up 51 to 45 percent. Kamala narrowly leads with the 65 and older crowd, 50 to 47 percent.

That partisan breakdown is 35 percent Democrats, 33 percent Republicans, and 32 percent “other” or independent.

Rasmussen is the second top pollster to show no statistical fallout from Trump’s awful debate performance. The latest New York Times/Siena poll had Trump up by a single point before the debate. Today, this same pollster shows the race tied at 47 percent.

Nationwide Trump leads Harris by almost 20 with Teamsters, who often vote in lockstep with democrats.

With that result, who in any right mind would believe that Harris is up 5 overall.   Bullshit....  Same ABC debate bias applied to polls

Harris needs to win independents.

Only 34% of them believe the bloodbath hoax.

Only 37% of them believe the Charlottesville hoax.

So why did she perpetuate them in the debate?
