The Ukraine issue will be something that Trump will have to deal with should  he be elected. He won’t have the luxury of ignoring it as president. And it’ll probably be to negotiate another one of his “great deals” that would benefit Russia in some way at the expense of Ukraine

New blood is welcome.  However, Trump encountered great difficulty owing to his lack of government experience.  He didn't know how DC worked, and he got rolled.  As it turns out, a private sector career is not such a boon.

JD Vance is little known, and that presents another challenge: defining him before the democrats perform their hatchet job.

Trump's problems were not his lack of government experience.  That is a plus especially when experience comes from the private sector where financial integrity is demanded to succeed.

Government backgrounds defines success as extracting taxes from citizens and grow the government without sound economic footing by government spending.

He suffered from listening to advisors who were picking a VP who had government experience but was a dilly/dally guy, and picking department heads who were even weaker.  As well as GOP congressional leadership who simply did not back him adequately and grew government excessively.

He did not 'get rolled'.

As as far as the 'hachet job', I can hardly wait for the debate between him and Harris to define who he is.

I have met too many former Marines who are either grossly unhinged (especially when it comes to politics) or struggled mightily to readjust to civilian life.  It may be a generalization but it's a risk. The skill set of a Marine is not exactly the same one that lends itself well to managing a country of over 300 million people that is increasingly at each other's throats.

Well that "bad guy" is the very reason NATO exists.

If we can't manufacture enough munitions to supply Ukraine then we need to beef it up dramatically. That's just one war. We are not prepared if that's the case.

It is very short sighted to not arm a friend that is willing to fight and die for their country stopping the Russian monster. By letting Russia take what it wants it is only increases the chances of American blood being spilt later on. It's like saying we'll let the fire burn until it gets to our door. Let's review:

Biden received 74 more electoral votes in 2020 than did Trump.  In order to reverse that, Trump needs to win States in 2024 that he lost in 2020.  The selection of JD Vance does not help make that happen.  Trump has Ohio's electoral votes without Vance.

If Trump flips Georgia, Nevada, and Virginia, he ends up 2 electoral votes ahead of Biden.

Trump has a good chance of taking Georgia and Nevada.  But with someone like Glenn Younkin on the ticket, he could take Virginia as well.  Election over.  All the cheating in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona won't matter.

The second thing to consider:  When Trump takes office, Vance will have to resign his seat.  This means a GOP vacancy at the most critical time of Trump's term - the first 100 days.  And that seat will remain vacant until the RINO governor chooses a RINO to replace Vance.  But with Younkin, we lose no Senate seat.  Instead, we put Winston Sears in the Governor's mansion, virtually ensuring her election in 2025.

I like Vance.  But he is a stupid stupid stupid pick from a political standpoint.
