Yes, it was determined early on, it was gun, that required to COCK it first....then he put his finger on the trigger. A gun for that time in history, in the movie RUST.   He pointed at this woman.  I say on purpose. He is Alec....he can get by with anything!  I hope he ends up in jail.  He can do his POTUS TRUMP impersonation....there.  Such a vile person.

As I recall yes it was a Colt SSA, but he's banking on most all liberals being clueless about hot that firearm operates. Baldwin has a problem with his statement, according to the cameraman? Baldwin not only cocked the weapon he deliberately pointed it at Hutchins and pulled the trigger. I don't think any amount of lies and bad acting is going to bail him out of this, he failed his responsibilities to safety in every position he had on the set and his reckless actions killed one and injured another. I hope he saved enough money penny pinching, cutting corners and ignoring industry standards to pay for the judgments coming against him.

The most frustrating thing of all for him is that he doesn't get a do-over.  For decades, he has worked in an industry where he can screw up 40 times in a row, but get it right on the 41st take, and that is the only take his audience will ever see.  People like Baldwin have no clue when it comes to real life situations where the mistake of an executive can cost hundreds or thousands of people their jobs and livelihoods.  They will never be able to relate to what it takes for someone like Donald Trump to do his job.  Because they always get a do-over.  But not this time, Alec.

We've all heard the slogan "guns don't kill people, people kill people," and human nature seems to bear out that bit of wisdom.  The beginning of the book of Genesis recounts the story of Cain and Abel, two brothers who had a fatal falling out long before guns were invented.  The only human remains found in the La Brea Tar Pits of Los Angeles belonged to a young woman who seems to have been a homicide victim 9,000 years ago — again, long before guns were invented.

Even after the invention of guns, people continue to kill each other with everything from common household implements to exotic poisons to complicated bombs.  The most rabid gun control advocates generally concede that guns don't jump up and shoot someone of their own accord.

I suspect that even Alec Baldwin, before he killed Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust, would have agreed that a gun can't shoot someone of its own accord.  Be that as it may, Baldwin sat down for an interview with ABC News to insist that he did not pull the trigger on the gun that fired the bullet that killed Halyna.
