Defunds Planned Parenthood, Trump becomes the most pro-life President ever, cheers.

It's amazing that this goes by some people that I'd think would find some consolation in this, instead, they sound more like the Democrats saying "Na Na Na Na, Hey, Hey".

No he's not the most pro life president ever.

Not even close.

Anything that defunds Planned Parenthood is okay with me. But I'm pro-life versus others I guess.

It has never been an issue of defunding.  It has always been an issue of refusing to fund.  Same with Obamacare.  Do nothing, and it dies.  Pass a funding bill, and it lives on.  Unfortunately, a GOP majority in both houses has voted again and again to provide more funding.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

Oh well, one can't expect you to do anything but say Trump is bad, glad this was spotlighted.

Versus whom?

Are you saying some of us are not pro-life?  That's a serious accusation.

Versus those who didn't vote for life.

Speaking of "effective"....How's it working out calling obvious pro life members of TBR abortion supporters simply because they don't bow and scrape at Trump's feet as slavishly as you do?

You winning any converts to your view of things that way?

That's pretty pathetic on your part.

Yes, Trump's administration is the most accomplished pro-life administration ever,

Defunded International Planned Parenthood
Gave back the rights to the states to defund Planned Parenthood on a state level.
Nominated Gorsuch, praised by pro-life groups.

Per experts, per Dr. Martin Luther King's niece, this isn't really even debatable.

Alveda King and Frank Pavone: Trump's first 100 days are the best pro-life 100 days ever
by Alveda King & Frank Pavone | Apr 27, 2017, 5:57 PM

For babies in the womb and their mothers, President Trump's first 100 days in office have been the best 100 days of any administration.

It's hard to recall a three-month period where so many pro-life advancements have occurred. Certainly, no president has accomplished more for the Culture of Life at the beginning of his term than has Trump. What's more, having endured eight years of the most pro-abortion president in history, these last 100 days couldn't have come at a more important time or be more welcome.

All around, Trump has had positives said of his administration all over.

"Ever"?

I seriously doubt that.  And at any rate, since the verbiage was in a bill written by Congressional republicans, seems the kudos should go to them, not Trump, who didn't do a whole lot of work on the bill.

Matthew 7: 21-23

Quote
…21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.’…

Trump didn't even have anything to do with it, other than taking credit for it when it passed... all the while praising Australia's universal system.

Yes, Trump's administration is the most accomplished pro-life administration ever,  More than George W. Bush, who passed partial-birth abortion bans and put pro-life justices Roberts and Alito on the courts?

Defunded International Planned Parenthood No, he didn't. The budget extender he signed still has Planned Parenthood in it.
Gave back the rights to the states to defund Planned Parenthood on a state level.
Nominated Gorsuch, praised by pro-life groups. One single SCOTUS justice who hasn't even made a ruling yet?

Per experts, per Dr. Martin Luther King's niece, this isn't really even debatable. Alveda King has no more credibility than I do. Trying to appeal to some nepotist who makes her name for being Republican and because of her uncle, and not on her own merits,
does not impress me in the least.

All around, Trump has had positives said of his administration all over. And far more negatives as well.
A rebuttal.

Yeah.....come to think of it..... if Trump was "really" so pro-Life.... why didn't he veto that spending bill and tell them to take the funding PP part the hell out before they presented it to him again?   (yet another rhetorical question here)

@TomSea

Just so I get this straight----if you didn't vote for Trump, you're not pro-life.  In other words, pro-abortion.

Is that what you're saying?

I believe what he's saying, is that...if you didn't vote for Trump you are hurting the pro-life cause. You may philosophically be pro-life, but in practice you are advancing the Pro-choice/Abortion cause by undermining President Trump. Its a distinctly different argument from saying you're not Pro-life if you didn't vote for Trump.

At the end of the day though they are both wrong either in the original version or the translation.  A Conservative not voting for Trump....whether it was write in vote for Cruz or for a third party candidate (Minus that nut in the Green Party) did nothing to harm the pro life movement.  Nothing was done to hurt the pro life cause by supporting a Conservative instead of Donny.

If anything Trump is doing damage himself by signing that spending bill that fully funds them.

I agree.  Personally, the candidate I voted for was pro-life.  What @TomSea seems to be saying is that you can only be pro-life if you voted for the candidate he liked the most.

It's absurd, and it's defamatory to the members of this site.  I hope he'll return to the conversation and explain.

If your vote had led to Trump getting less than Hillary, then absolutely you would have devastated the pro- life cause. Instead of Gorsuch, we'd now have another Sotomayor or Ginsberg in that 9th seat. And that's not even mentioning the left wing legislation on abortion that would be coming at us.
