Damn, DC.  I think it's all a racket.

Yeah, I like John Graves as my avatar, too.  I found a gif of him choking Abe with that hangman's rope, and Abe's face is purple as a grape.  Fantastic.  If I can get my problems fixed, I might try that one.

Are you running Mozilla Firefox by any chance?

Somebody here helped me immensely when he pointed out one of the latest version upgrades of Firefox slows down Windows 10.

When I reverted to an older version of Mozilla Firefox, my computer was 'normal' again.

The latest versions of Firefox are expected to run on a modern machine. Before I upgraded my machine, an auto upgrade of Firefox brought my old machine to its knees.

I backed up to an ESR version of Firefox and it ran fine. Since then I've built a new machine.

I refuse to use google with their invasive practices, and left driven policies.

Ill try with duck-duck.

With Startpage you can still use the search Perimeters of "Site:gopbriefingroom.com" then your search words.

Searches google without them getting your information.

Here is a search of your username @catfish1957  for example...

I think the default is "safe search" there, so if stuck finding something you are looking for, go to settings (top right corner) and set the search to "do not filter results"....

I like the safe search for most part, cuts out a lot of the junk pages with girly pictures (I ain't 18 anymore).

Any possibility of implementing spoiler tags? Or suggestions for a workaround to hide/unhide text?

Spoiler tags?  Is that like the keyword tags that a person enters when they post a topic?

Spoiler tags allow you to write text that some users may not want to see and hide until the reader chooses to see it.

Spoiler tags are just like editing HTML in your comment. Just wrap the new <spoiler></spoiler> tag around any text in your comment, and that’s it!

Once the comment is posted, the spoiler text is hidden by a gray background overlay. Hover over the spoiler text to reveal the content. If you’re on mobile, tap the spoiler text to view it. Spoiler tags appear whether you’re viewing the comment in the thread or in a notification. It also works when creating a channel discussion on Disqus.com

I've been thinking about that lately, too.  How's this?

What's with the "Insert Flash" button?  I couldn't figure out why my "Insert Hyperlink" wasn't working. It failed. I did it again. It failed. I went to make sure I counted over 2 buttons and then I saw that dang "f" in a circle. Now I have to change my counts for both pics and links. Couldn't y'all have put it on the other end?

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I'm blocked from accessing TBR on my phone.  I get a message that says the site isn't secure/certificate has expired.  At first I could get in using a back door way, but now I'm totally blocked.

QCOA: What OS and browser? (IOS or Android?). Try a different browser or adjust the settings or "Prefs" of your current browser ("Security" maybe?) to allow non-https: (encrypted) sites without blocking or a warning.  Alternate phone browsers I currently recommend: "Brave" or "Dolphin".

IOS (Apple) alternates:

Android alternates:

"Brave" browser "About": https://brave.com/about/

Update: just checked: GOPBR working just fine on my iPhone w/the default Safari browser & settings.

Pssssst MK....that little "Compass Icon" on your iPhone IS the browser ("Safari"/default iOS browser). Or if you are using the "Google App" (not me, spyware)...then it it launches sites in the "Google Chrome" browser after searching.

Are you using https?

The TLS cert expired earlier today, so anyone using https should get an error.

Yep...if you bookmark GOPBR with the "http://" prefix everything should work fine...if using the encrypted version "https://" then warnings, blocking, "nanny warnings", etc. from newer versions of browsers. "@InHeavenThereIsNoBeer" is on to the problem: GOPBR encryption security cert. expired yesterday:

@Drago

IOS/Safari.  Thanks for those links—I’m going to check them out.  @Cyber Liberty messaged me and told me to use http instead of https.  That’s working—I just have to enter it manually.  My bookmark and Google bring up https.
