The idea that somebody looked at a purple onion and called it a red onion really bothers me.

I suppose you could come up with a scenario where the number is uneven (i.e., odd):  suppose A and B marry in Year 1.  Next, suppose B dies suddenly in Year 1 (after the marriage has been consummated).  Next, suppose A marries C in Year 1 (after a short but productive period of grieving).  Suppose no one else gets married in Year 1.

As I count things - and I don't want to start any trouble - we have 2 marriages, but 3 people who got married, in Year 1.

I enjoy this Vivaldi concerto playing in the background.  It recharges me.  Settles me.  I think of how much fun it must have been to play it live back in that day.

I have always loved that one!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."
