The idea that somebody looked at a purple onion and called it a red onion really bothers me.

BTW, if there's someone that's never quite figured out the reason behind the name of this thread, here's a clue:

The line of course, is from the Whiffenpoof Song, and we are the Whiffenpoof assembled.

Mad Soul Child - The Man from Nowhere

She has such a heartbreaking voice!

See the movie ASAP.  Not a date movie, per se, unless your wife enjoys graphic violence.  No sex to speak of..it's the violence.

A story of an "off the grid" special forces agent in the I believe, the Korean or Chinese.  He suffers guilt that his wife was horrifically killed sitting in the car.

He becomes a pawnbroker, next door lives a little girl who's emotionally abused and bullied.  Her mother is a club dancer, and a hustler.

She calls him "Mister"...and the more he tries to detach himself from her, a bond forms.

The child is kidnapped after the mother stole drugs and was killed.

He swears to himself that he will save her.

An emotional journey, for sure.

The closing music is this piece.

A serious but touching moment for our table at Mory's:

 :patriot:

Published on Sep 10, 2015
Pulte Homes will surprise wounded Army veteran Staff Sgt. Shawn Whitmore and his family at Thursday's Myrtle Beach Pelicans game with the announcement that they have been selected to receive a mortgage-free home in the Pulte Homes Berkshire Forest community. The home is being built as part of PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program, which donates mortgage-free homes to wounded veterans and their families across the country. The project is in partnership with Operation FINALLY HOME.

Wow!     A completely different interpretation of Jessie's Girl!

My son, who lives Hip-Hop....from the Tupak/GRS II days says this could be a new genre.

Taking songs from the "old days" and working them with a different beat.  A Hip-Hop rhythm.   Layering.
