Why?  I don't think anyone here is hyperventilating at all.  Do you really think that they are going to release all of the specifics if there is anything in the deal that makes Trump look bad??

The US secretly approved a financial and maritime arrangement between Qatar and Iran, under which billions of dollars were paid to Tehran in exchange for free passage for Qatari tankers and ships through the Strait of Hormuz, three diplomatic officials now confirm.

This was a deliberate and conscious course of action by the US administration, which allowed its navy to turn a blind eye to the arrangement, in complete contradiction of its declared policy. The move was intended to ease the crisis in global energy markets and curb rising oil prices.

The current revelation proves that the White House had already laid the groundwork at the time for the memorandum of understanding being forged with Iran. In doing so, the administration gave Iranian terrorism a critical economic lifeline at a moment of particularly severe financial strangulation.

The secret US approval, which the sources said was granted about a month ago, dovetailed with Doha's interest in opening a direct channel of communication with Tehran, which began to tighten after the ceasefire. Qatar, fearing a renewed Iranian attack on its facilities after one of its gas installations was attacked during the war, sought to buy security quiet.

While the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia were hit by missile and UAV attacks after the ceasefire, Qatar assisted Iran financially and remained completely protected. As part of this arrangement, Iran demanded access to part of its deposits held in Qatar. Some of the payments were disguised as fees for tankers passing through Hormuz, and a broad credit line of up to $1 billion was also opened for the purchase of goods through Qatar.

Do you think that Iran will remain a nuclear-free zone @Right_in_Virginia ??? They still have uranium.  Oh that's right Iran promised that they would stop making nukes.   

As for the 'deal' that Trump & Co. made I don't believe we'll know the full agreement as anything in it that makes Trump look bad won't be revealed.

I do feel that Trump lied or was very ill-advised and Kushner made a pretty penny off all of this.

Trump would give Iran the State of Alaska to sign his 'deal'. Trump is a crazy person.
He is maniacally invested in his deal way over the top and utterly abnormal.
There is nothing that Trump will not do or give to Iran for his deal.

Trump should step aside and let objective grounded normal people to negotiate his deal.

Trump is not an objective negotiator. If Iran ordered Trump to dance naked on his desk before they will sign his 'deal', Trump would do it.
Trump will do anything. Trump will give anything, to Iran to get them to sign his 'piece of paper' so he pack up and and run away home.

I agree with you @libertybele   I think what we've been witnessing among several around here is a celebration of Trump's perceived fall from grace ----  and their fascinating contest to choose the most demeaning adjective to describe the President.  First prize winner of this contest receives a weapon suitable for celebratory sky shooting.

That's a nice anti-American attitude you've got going there ⬆️  ... You must be so proud.   

The MOU negotiations are over.  No more debate.  Next stop: Signatures.  Everyone should chill for a few days.

Congress, as it is their settled pattern, will be in charge of spreading the misunderstanding, promoting the misanalysis, casting the malign, and spreading the impugning.

I think the wild card in all of this is the reaction from the Gulf States ---- and how unified they are.  Everything I've read and heard is that they want to move on quickly to Phase II of all this  ---- the commerce and reconstruction phases, including Gaza and the West Bank and now adding Lebanon to parts of the agenda.

If nothing else is for certain ---- we do live in interesting times.

I'm guessing the Parliament intern was too busy to sign. Ghalibaf has no authority or power in Iran. But Trump does not care. Any signature from anybody in Iran is 'good enough' for Trump.

That kinda like having House Speaker Mike Johnson sign a treaty for the U.S.  This guy has no legal authority to do such a thing.  I guess Trump is hoping nobody notices that unfortunate fact.  So that electronic document is worthless.

It's already been explained to you here. 

The IRGC are purposefully being culled from the recognized government leadership.
Only Regular Forces of the military will represent the signatories.

The Republican Guard become "Rebels" and are dealt with as such.

Secondly, please don't try to rewrite history.  It was IRAN that closed the Strait of Hormuz.  To charge a "Toll".

President Trump canceled the Iranian Siege with one of his own!  And Iran tapped out!  Without putting boots on the ground.

BTW...he actually did achieve "Regime Change"  Two deep in the Ayatollah Household...nobody's seen the gay son since February.

Their basic Naval and Airforce have been destroyed.

So...over the course of sixty days, it was determined who actually had the authority to act on behalf of the Iranian Government (I won't refer to it as a "Regime")

Posters here have suggested it be Israel's chore to deal with the Republican Guard Corps...that's crazy.  They had our SIX during this entire Iranian confrontation...and are NOT a signatory to this specific document...a Memorandum of Understanding.  /S

Anybody who can fog a mirror knows the Iranians cannot be trusted to abide to the letter of any Agreement.

Yet, I refuse to believe Pres. Trump is finished kicking ass over there.

He has to expect the IRGC to break the peace/ceasefire...and well then, it's off to the races!!
