It was never a "partnership".
When someone approaches you to form a "partnership", run. The person approaching you has champagne tastes on a beer budget. They need you more than you need them. They want to use your resources to achieve their objectives while you take on their costs and their risks. They benefit, you incur a greater share of the costs.
To get rid of the Iran nuclear program, you need to get rid of the current regime and the IRGC. The US and Israel don't have to go this alone. Iran has no friends in the Persian Gulf. There's more than one way to get rid of a regime. This is when you need to guys in the basement of the CIA, Mossad, and regional intelligence agencies to do the voo doo they do, oh, so well.
Dropping bombs is not enough. America does not have stomach for troops on the ground in, yet, another forever war and nation building campaign in the Near East. Time to let the espionage spooks to use their dirty tricks to bring down the regime and IRGC from within.
It's time for an ol' fashioned Cold War style coup d'etat in Tehran. Yes, that means backing a very, very bad man who has the ruthlessness for the task. Forget a Neo-Con wet dream of a Western-style democracy in Iran.
To get rid of Iran's nukes, the world needs to get rid of the Iranian regime and the IRGC that keeps them in power. Bombing didn't work, so time for plan B. Could we see the return of exploding pagers, but this time in Tehran?
