As demonstrated in the Ukrainian war, FPV drones can hunt down and wipe out dozens or more troops a day. Especially when those drones are operated by combat experienced Russian drone operators, now in theater. Many will be fiber-optic guided, so jamming will have no effect.

As the war in Iran heats up, the Trump administration is considering diverting weapons away from Ukraine and to the Middle East.

The war has reportedly depleted the administration’s stock of “critical munitions,” making it necessary to procure more from elsewhere.

In a statement, a Pentagon spokesperson told The Washington Post that the War Department will “ensure that U.S. forces and those of our allies and partners have what they need to fight and win.”

Well, except for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who’d seemingly get the short end of the stick were this plan to move forward.

President Donald Trump nevertheless defended this plan to reporters on Wednesday, telling them that “we have tremendous amounts of ammunition” to spare, including for Zelenskyy up north.

The Financial Times (FT) reported on March 25, citing Western intelligence reports, that Russia is close to completing a phased shipment of unspecified drones, medicine, and food to Iran.

Since the launchers are kept in tunnels until use, and since there are hundreds of tunnels per site - each with hundreds of launchers, there is no way to know how many launchers remain.

The current series of attacks may be a Command&Communication problem, not a launcher or missile problem.

THE DEAL ON THE TABLE

- Dismantle Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan
- Zero enrichment. Forever. Hand all uranium to IAEA
- Cap ballistic missiles in range and quantity
- Cut off Hezbollah, Houthis and Hamas completely
- Reopen the Strait. Fully. Now.
- 30-day ceasefire to start

In return: Sanctions relief and possible civilian nuclear cooperation.

🇮🇷 Iran asks the U.S. to:

- Stop all strikes and assassinations immediately
- Provide binding guarantees never to attack again
- Pay war reparations
- Recognize Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz
- Touch nothing: nuclear program, missiles, proxies. All off the table

These are two sides describing completely different wars.

The U.S. wants Iran defanged. Iran wants the U.S. gone and billed for the visit.

A seriously damaged carrier is not going to go to Souda, Crete, Greece for repairs. Nor will pictures of the Ford at that base show that the carrier lacks exterior damage. Further, if sensor systems are non-op, the Ford would not have been moved, as it was, from its station in the Eastern Med to the Red Sea.

Iran and its Houthi-proxies did not hit the Ford, and its sensor systems are not non-op or significantly degraded.

This isn't genius-level thought, it's common sense.

The commander of US Central Command said Iran has increasingly targeted civilian sites across the Middle East out of "desperation" as its military capabilities deteriorate in the third week of the war.

"They're operating in a sign of desperation... In the last couple of weeks, they've attacked civilian targets very deliberately, more than 300 times," Adm. Brad Cooper said in an interview with Iran International.

Cooper also said Iran’s strain has reduced the volume of its attacks.

“At the beginning of the conflict, you saw large volumes in the dozens of drones and missiles. You no longer see that. It’s all one or two at a time,” Cooper said this in his first interview since the start of the war between Iran and the United States on Feb. 28.

Iranian officials have vowed to sustain a prolonged conflict and deny that their military capabilities are fading.

In one of its most severe attack on Israel to date, Iran targeted the Israeli towns of Arad and Dimona on Saturday, leaving dozens of people injured, according to Israeli authorities. . . .
