Some patrol boats must've poked their bows out of hiding, or maybe one of their small submarines (if any are not yet permanently submerged). That an A-10 is flying low near (the effective range of the GAU-8 is a bit under a mile) a major airbase shows the status of Iranian anti-aircraft capability in and near that base.

Equine feces! The USS Abraham Lincoln moving, ASSuming the claim is even accurate, 500 miles means nothing. Carriers are not stationary. And the ship's F/A-18s were already doing mid-air refueling, so that 500 miles isn't that much of a change.

And if the Ford's problems were worse than some crew quarters being unusable and some laundry facilities being destroyed, the Ford would not just go to Souda on the island of Crete (Greece).

I think that video might be a week or two old. The planes look to me to have been, chronologically, a C-130, a P-3C, and an IL-76. The first two would be from the Shah's era, the Russian transport more current.

Since Iran is circulating supposed pics of a downed A-10, B-2, F-22, and F-35 along with Kalashnikov-waving men approximately the same height as the "planes", take this claim with a mountain-sized block of salt. The US almost immediately announced the downings of three F-15Es (friendly fire), the crash of a KC-135 and damaging of another in a mid-air collision, and an F-35 being damaged by Iran and having to land at a nearby base, so I do not think the US would cover up the loss of an F/A-18.

My problem with the way we wage war today is that we do not have a focus on killing the enemy.  Everything is precision munitions to destroy assets only.  Utterly foolish!

During WWII, we killed uniform and civilian enemy.  Admiral William Halsey said it best in 1943.  'The only good Jap civilian, is a Jap civilian that has been dead for six months or more.'  This sentiment should apply to ALL CONFLICTS we engage in. 

ONLY WHEN WE KILL SUFFICIENT NUMBERS OF THE ENEMY WILL IT BREAK THEIR WILL TO CONTINUE TO FIGHT. Therefore, the current mentality of fighting this engagement is self defeating.  In a nation with 90 million people, we are NOT doing what is necessary to have them UNCONDITIONALLY SURRENDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To put it in perspective, Germany in 1939, with all the lands they acquired by that date, had a population of 79.4 million.  Iran is larger!  Germany came close to seizing the entirety of Europe, parts of Africa, etc. Taking on a nation of 90 million people with the intent of killing as few as possible is totally moronic!!!

Iran has always been deceptive, with everything they do.  If we are intending to totally destroy their military might, we have to resolve killing large numbers of their people in the areas the IRGC is strong.

And in the end, not deploying boots on the ground is not an option.  If you want to win any war, it requires boots on the ground, unless you intend to nuke them!  And we know that will not happen.

Nonsense!  When you go to war, you better be prepared to kill the enemy in large  quantities.  And with a nation that has such ideological control over the nation as Iran does, waging war against them with no intention on killing large quantities of the enemy is just plain idiocy.

BTW, I haven't watched Fox News in a long time!!

Tehran should look like Gaza, but it is largely intact, because we are targeting military installations only.  This will not have the Iranians agreeing to anything!!!   Trump is making the same mistake as Putin did with Ukraine.  The will of the leadership in Iran will be to wait until the pressure on US leadership to end the war forces the Trump Administration to cease all efforts in Iran.  The only way to accomplish victory in Iran is to destroy the country, and we are not doing that!
