When a state or city goes from blue to red, democrats don't write off the area and walk away. They double and triple down until they win it back.
But, conservatives, genius political strategists that they are, not only run away --- they kick the voters on the way out and label them losers. Toxic, thy name is conservative.
Conservatives should stand down while there's a chance this nation can be saved --- seriously. You're a big part of the problem. Shoo ----
Well, I don't live in Virginia. But I do spend time there vacationing and visiting family, and I do know politics pretty damned well.
The reason the GOP lost the gubernatorial race is because the
dysfunctional state Republican party isn't worth a warm bucket of spit when it comes to promoting, defending and
funding conservatives.
They did little to help Winsome-Sears (and she didn't do nearly enough herself, it would
appear).
And Donald Trump's lukewarm support for Sears was a
liability more than an asset for the Republicans, even as his personal popularity numbers in VA are and have always been highly negative.
Trump
polls slightly higher in Minnesota, for Pete's sake. If the Commonwealth's GOP had been united and focused on pocketbook issues rather than divisive social ones, neither Trump's tepid enthusiasm for the candidate, nor his unpopularity would have been such a big deal.
A better candidate would also have helped, but... that's water under the bridge. Enjoy your new Marxist governor.
