He stuffed the rifle down his pants (and in his shirt) and limped a mile or more to the shooting. The scope is positioned to allow him to walk somewhat with it down his pants. After the shooting you can see him running without a limp.

There are some very major problems with this case.

The video that they are showing of this person jumping down off the roof. How did he get up on the roof? He didn't jump up onto the roof. Why wouldn't he use the same way that he got up there with a standard full one piece rifle to get down? Why Jump????

This bolt action rifle with the poorly mounted scope does not break down into smaller pieces; it is a standard full one piece rifle. The video of this person jumping down from the roof does not have a standard full length rifle with him as he is jumping from the roof, but we are told that they found the rifle in the woods after he was off of the roof and away from the building.
