The Beriev plant’s final assembly hall also sustained serious damage. The Tu-95 "Bear" is somewhat analogous to the USAF B-52, though Russia apparently also uses it for recon and intelligence gathering.

It is a simple matter.  Ukraine had gas and oil reserves that Russia wanted.  So they sent in their military to take them.  This isn't about people.  This is about the land and what is under it.  Russia wants monopoly power for Europe's energy needs.  And 5 trillion cubic meters of gas under Ukrainian soil posed a threat to that.

This war is about Russian greed.  And that greed should never be rewarded.  Peace only happens when Russia gets the hell out of Ukraine.  All of Ukraine.
