The Tu-95 "Bear" is somewhat analogous to the USAF B-52, though Russia apparently also uses it for recon and intelligence gathering.

They call it senseless and destructive, welp, that sort of it's as if the two countries spontaneously decided to start fighting each other, like it was World War 1 or something, not that Russia started the whole thing by invading, multiple times.

yeah, and what's particularly maddening about this is that Trump, Vance, Witkoff, and Kushner seem to be accepting Putin's ridiculous premise that Russia is somehow a victim in all of this, that's there's some sort of "root cause" behind Putin's attempted re-conquest of Ukraine, and that America and NATO are the bad guys here.

It's just stupid!
