Same here in Wisconsin. Gas prices have gone up. And I have a relative that has a contracting business and he has said that prices have gone up
In fact, talk to apolitical people and they’ll tell you the same thing. MAGA is making the same mistake the Biden administration made and that is “don’t believe your lying eyes.”
I’ve watched this Epstein fiasco with great interest and Trump is not behaving like somebody who had nothing to do with Epstein. It’s obvious he wants the story to go away. Now everybody is innocent until proven guilty, but my hunch is his involvement with Epstein is deeper despite the protests from he and his most dedicated cult. The threat to take away Rosie O’Donnell citizenship was an attempt at distraction. He’s going to try more. But it isn’t working this time.

The only one who believes this is a hoax is Donald Trump. Even those members of his cult that tried to come to his defense, deep down they know this is bad for him, and they believe his name is on that list
And nobody’s buying that the list was made up by the Democrats and Comey(sp)….lol
Trump is but one of many rich and powerful people who are desperate for this issue to go away
@Timber Rattler Well, here are the averages...
The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is currently $3.16 as of July 17, 2025. This is a slight decrease of one cent from the previous week. This reflects a larger year-over-year decrease from $3.52 on July 16, 2024, down 10.1%.
Average gas prices in July 2025 are lower compared to the same period in 2024. In fact, current summer gas prices are matching the lower levels seen in the summer of 2021.
The average gas price in North Dakota is currently $2.914 for regular gasoline. Gas prices in North Dakota decreased by 14.1% between July 16, 2024, and July 16, 2025
I filled up for $2.75 9/10 per gallon two days ago. So, yes, gas prices are down.
Beef is way up, sadly, but I talked with a place that does slaughtering and beeves are going for $2.00/lb live weight, when last year they were closer to $1.25. Small wonder the price is up, and it will only come down when production can exceed demand. (The critters are sold at auction).
But Eggs are way down here at $4.19 for an 18 count, large, grade A. That works out to $2.79 per dozen. The high last winter was close to $8/dozen.
While I have noticed a little shrinkflation (smaller sizes or fewer pieces, same price), other things have come down a little if you shop around. If you take your time and stock up on loss leaders (sale items), you can do pretty well.
Credit card interest has dropped a little over 1% for me since winter (APR), but my credit score is north of 800. I do not use it for cash advances, just carry some of that.
So your experience may not be the same as elsewhere, and it depends on where you shop.
