So devastated she could barely manage the fake nails and fake lashes.

This wench called our Governor "Governor Hot Wheels"..... . Let her make a fool of herself.  She and AOC are our best GOTV tools we have.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Sen. Ted Cruz pictured at Parthenon on Greek vacay after devastating Texas floods killed at least 105 people

US Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was pictured at the Parthenon in Greece, reportedly 24 hours after devastating floods hit the Hill Country of his home state, killing at least 105 people.

The photo came as Cruz said he flew back to Texas “as fast as humanly possible,” leaving Sunday and returning to the Lone Star State that night.

However, flight data show multiple earlier flights that could have gotten him home sooner.

Cruz’s office told The Post on Tuesday that he was on a pre-planned vacation with his family when the floods struck early July 4.

“Within hours, he spoke by phone with Governor [Greg] Abbott, Lt. Governor [Dan] Patrick, Texas emergency management director Nim Kidd, and President Trump, working to ensure that the maximum federal assets were available for search and rescue,” a spokesperson said.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz sightseeing at the Parthenon in Greece on July 5 while his state was flooded.

“He and his team worked closely with local officials and with families of missing girls throughout that time. He promptly booked a flight back home. Given the time difference, he left Athens on Sunday morning and was back in Texas that night. And he was in Kerrville on the ground early Monday morning,” the statement continued, adding that he had returned home “as fast as humanly possible.”

There were multiple flights on Saturday from Athens to major US hubs that would have connected to San Antonio, near the floods — including planes to JFK, Newark, Chicago and Washington Dulles, according to flight data.

It isn’t known how many seats would have been available on those flights.

If a significant portion of government employees had been 'working remotely', what is the problem with Cruz not showing up with a dog and pony show and trailing media to disrupt on the ground (and in the air) efforts to rescue and/or recover victims? The presence of one VIP could cost precious minutes for someone out there waiting to be discovered and rescued.I have little doubt he could make a few calls and set wheels in motion from afar without being physically present and gumming up the works. Get out of the way and let the people do their jobs.

The absence of Ted Cruz for one day is utterly irrelevant. This is just an excuse for the media to get their knickers in a twist.

The next major earthquake in LA or San Francisco is inevitable, too. The question is one of when it will happen, and how bad it will be. The ability to integrate flow/water level data and basin geometry (hydrology), and predict downstream flood crests and timing exists, it just has not been implemented in a way that provides accurate and timely warnings that will jar someone out of a sleepy stupor at 4 AM in time for them to get to safety.

I can see having at least one flash flood drill for things like summer camps (where many of the kids are from elsewhere) per session so the kids are at least exposed to what to do and where to go if things start going badly.

NASA sends specialized aircraft, technology to aid Texas flood search and recovery operations
High-altitude WB-57 and UAVSAR technology deployed to accelerate emergency response after July Fourth disaster

In the wake of the catastrophic July Fourth floods that barreled through south central Texas, claiming 119 lives and leaving nearly 200 people missing, NASA dispatched two aircraft to aid local recovery efforts and search and rescue operations.

NASA's high-altitude WB-57 aircraft took off from Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base in Houston on Tuesday, and will conduct aerial surveys using its DyNAMITE (Day/Night Airborne Motion Imager for Terrestrial Environments) sensor.

The sensor will take high-resolution photos of the Guadalupe River and several miles of the surrounding area, which could accelerate emergency response times.

A NASA WB-57 plane will be assessing flood damage and aiding with recovery efforts after catastrophic flooding in Texas.

The aircraft are responding as part of NASA’s Disasters Response Coordination System, which was activated to support the flood emergency response in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and humanitarian groups.

"Persistent cloud-cover has made it difficult to obtain clear satellite imagery, so the Disasters Program coordinated with NASA’s Airborne Science Program at NASA’s Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston to conduct a series of flights to gather observations of the impacted regions," according to a NASA statement.

Officials said the data will be provided to response teams and aid in rescue efforts and resource allocation.
