I'd expect that the US military used satellites to do precises measurements of the surface elevation of the mountain facility before and after to bombing. They should be able to determine if internal voids caved in or not.

Assuming the uranium was removed, what is going to stop Iran from building a facility even deeper under a mountain somewhere, and finish enriching it in a matter of weeks?  Iran is fairly large with land mass about 20% of the lower 48.  I would love to be wrong about this, but the only reliable way to forestall nuclear proliferation is to deal with the regime directly.  These hit & run operations are good entertainment, but you have not treated the disease.

One can only hope that the destruction of their military and public humiliation of their mullahs will lead to internally driven regime change. We'll see what happens, if anything, over the coming months.

Trump: Pilots who carried out Iran strikes flew with high risk of never returning to the US

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the B-2 stealth bomber pilots who carried out the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities flew with a “great risk” and a “big chance that they would never come back home and see their husbands or their wives.”

“I got a call from Missouri... I got a call that the pilots and people on the plane were devastated because they were trying to minimize the attack,” Trump also said in reference to a leaked preliminary U.S. intelligence assessment that said the U.S. strikes on Iran did not destroy three targeted nuclear sites.

“ And they all said it was hit, but oh, but we don't think it was really maybe hit that badly. And they were devastated. They put their lives on the line,” Trump added. “I spoke to one of them, he said ‘sir, we hit the site. It was perfect. It was dead-on.’”

Gabbard blasts media over Iran strike leak, touts 'new intelligence' on magnitude of destruction

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday pushed back forcefully against what she called the “propaganda media,” accusing them of selectively leaking classified material in an attempt to undercut President Donald Trump’s handling of the high-stakes Iran strikes.

In a post from her official X account, Gabbard confirmed that "new intelligence" has verified the destruction of Iran’s key nuclear sites at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan in last weekend’s bombing campaign.

“If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities... entirely,” she wrote. “Which would likely take years to do.”

She also criticized recent press reports relying on leaked intelligence assessments that downplayed the scale of the damage. “The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with ‘low confidence’) to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership,” Gabbard said.

The former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, now serving as Trump’s DNI, has become a key public voice defending the administration’s national security posture during the growing Israel-Iran conflict.

Her post Wednesday marks the most assertive pushback yet from the U.S. intelligence community’s leadership.

Exclusive — Poll: Wide Support for Trump’s Airstrikes on Iran

A majority of Americans approves of President Donald Trump’s airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to one of the first polls taken in the aftermath of the weekend’s military action.

A new poll by American Pulse, conducted June 23-25 among 633 likely voters and with a 3.9% margin of error at the 95% confidence interval, showed that 55.5% of voters approved of Trump’s efforts to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, against 39.4% who disapproved. When airstrikes were specifically mentioned, the margins were similar: 53.7% approved and 39.3% disapproved.

There was a partisan split, but Republicans approved (86.1%) more strongly than Democrats disapproved (64.0%) of Trump’s actions. Those who identified as Trump voters approved of the airstrikes by nearly the same percentage (84.8%) as Republicans generally, though within that group, the percentage who approved strongly dropped from 71.6% to 65.6%. Only 12% of Trump voters disapproved, with just 5% strongly against.

The poll, whose sample included more Democrats than Republicans (by 4.4 points), also found that President Trump has net positive approval, albeit within the margin of error (49.7% approve, 48.9% disapprove).

Pollster Dustin Olson said:

    The survey shows a solid majority of Americans approve of the job President Trump has done handling threats related to Iran’s nuclear program: Trump’s Force + Diplomacy approach. Americans see Trump using all options to address Iran’s nuclear threat and end fighting, combining military and diplomatic efforts. This survey indicates that Trump successfully threaded that needle. As a result, nearly 56% of Americans say they approve of President Trump’s efforts to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Olson also noted that 61% of those polled also believed that “America’s adversaries, including cartels and sleeper cells, likely exploited the Biden Administration’s open border policy.”

Trusted media outlets like CNN and Al-Jazeera reported that the American and Israeli forces suffered significant setbacks due to the loss of their bombs.

At publishing time, the Ayatollah had ordered the rubble from the former nuclear facilities to be heaped up into a monument to commemorate the Iranians' glorious destruction of the American weapons.
