Just 6 missiles, eh?  Less than impressive...

Heard a report they fired six missiles because we did.... And they gave us a heads-up they were coming.

They don't seem to be in the mood to f with Trump.   88devil

Maybe she doesn't know anyone hurt by Iran. When they took over our embassy and held Americans Hostage there, it was 1979. I remember, I was in Grad School. She wasn't in grade school yet.
Iran has been solidly behind numerous proxy attacks on Americans and American interests, from the Beirut Marine barracks bombing to Khobar Towers, to attacks on our troops in Iraq.  Her lack of knowledge does not change the facts.

MTG was 2 when the SHTF in IRAN.  She's too young to understand the nuances in geo-political matters.  Wench needs to understand that the time for bitching is over, and to rally around the flag.  I want no more ME wars too, but her clown show has now become counterproductive.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Exiled prince looks to lead Iranian people in ending Islamic Republic: 'Our Berlin Wall moment'
Iranian exiled Prince Reza Pahlavi urges Iranian military defection, claims Ayatollah Ali Khamenei trying to flee
Danielle Wallace By Danielle Wallace Fox News
Published June 23, 2025 12:53pm EDT

The exiled prince of Iran has proposed leading the country's democratic transition to end the Islamic Republic in a new speech Monday.

"Today, it is clearer than ever: The Islamic Republic is collapsing," Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the late last shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, said. "Credible reports indicate that Ali Khamenei’s family – and the families of senior regime officials – are making preparations to flee Iran. The regime is on its last legs, in towns and cities across the country. The military is fractured. The people are united. The foundations of this 46-year tyranny are shaking."

"This is our Berlin Wall moment," Pahlavi said from a press conference he called in Paris.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
The barracks bombing was a long time ago.  MTG probably does not remember it.  Her overall point is our involvement carries risk.  Some of our decisions have aged poorly, including the assistance of Saddam in the Iran-Iraq war, the airbus shoot down with no formal apology, and operation ajax.  Was this latest escalation absolutely necessary, and how many years are we going to have to deal with the tertiary effects?  Probably too late to ask that question now, but people are going to do it anyway.
Doing nothing involves risk, too. Sixty percent U-235 is over ten times the enrichment needed for reactor fuel (3-5%). Considering Iran is dedicated (religiously so) to destroying the "Great Satan" (that's us, BTW), stopping them from further enriching fissionable material to weapons grade seems like it mitigates more risk, ultimately, than the act of doing so.

The Hiroshima bomb was only 80%. Modern smaller, lighter, and more efficient weapons Typically use 90-95%, but keep in mind that with a Heavy Water program, (deuterium), Iran was likely pursuing not just fission weapons, but thermonuclear devices (Hydrogen Bombs), wwhich are an order of magnitude more powerful.

Because Iran's actions are not determined by political motives, but the religious aspirations of their Shi'ia Leaders, do not expect normal diplomacy to deter this goal. In fact, nothing but the destruction of the capability of producing such weapons will, so long as their theocracy remains in power.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I’ve seen press reports that Iranian missiles are targeting U.S. military bases in the Middle East—putting the lives of thousands of American servicemembers at immediate risk.

I’ve asked the Trump administration to give me a classified briefing to lay out the full threat picture, the intelligence behind Iran’s retaliation, and the details, scope, and timeline of any U.S. response. Most importantly, I’ve demanded they lay out exactly what measures they’re taking—right now—to keep our servicemembers safe.

The Trump administration should not make the same mistake it made this weekend by launching strikes without giving any details to Congress.

The law requires the Trump administration to consult with Congress. The Constitution demands it. And the American people—especially the families of those in harm’s way—deserve nothing less.

So far Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Yemen, and the Palestinian Authority have all condemned tonight’s ballistic missile attack by Iran against Al Udeid Airbase in Qatar.

Schumer has proven the last year to be a friend to Hamas.  He is their spy as far as I am concerned.   Don't let him within 10 feet of the intel.

I've never heard of Rep. Stansbury, but she seems to engage in a great deal of hyperbole.

Yes, and we have been dealing with it already for 45 years.
