Well, that piece is full of lies and half truths.

Here're the authors:

David H. Rundell is the author of Vision or Mirage, Saudi Arabia at the Crossroads and a former chief of mission at the American Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Ambassador Michael Gfoeller is a former political advisor to the U.S. Central Command who spent 15 years working the Soviet Union and former Soviet Union.

So what?  Prove what he reports didn't happen.

JD Vance warns Zelensky he will regret 'badmouthing' Trump and condemns his 'atrocious' response to peace talks

J.D. Vance talked to the Daily Mail in his West Wing office on Wednesday

By ROB CRILLY, CHIEF U.S. POLITICAL CORRESPONDENT FOR DAILYMAIL.COM AT THE WHITE HOUSE

Published: 11:35 EST, 19 February 2025 | Updated: 14:54 EST, 19 February 2025

Vice President J.D. Vance on Wednesday warned the Ukrainian president against attacking President Donald Trump, saying that 'badmouthing' him in public would only backfire.

Vance spoke to DailyMail.com hours after Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky accused Trump of living in a Russian-made 'disinformation space.'

The extraordinary language on both sides comes at a critical time in the war between Ukraine and Russia, as Trump pushes for a speedy resolution.

'The idea that Zelensky is going to change the president's mind by badmouthing him in public media ... everyone who knows the president will tell you that is an atrocious way to deal with this administration,' said Vance during an exclusive interview in his West Wing office.

At the same time, Trump weighed in with his own attack on Truth Social.

I want you to prove Zelensky didn't make the changes to political parties, the press, religious freedom and social media as claimed by the author.

It should be easy-peasy..

So according to Pres. Trump's logic,

Every time a home invasion happens, it's the home-owner's fault, because he didn't negotiate peacefully with the criminals and give in to their demands ...

Got it.

What you are leaving out is the fact that this isn't the first conflict between Russia and Ukraine.  It has been ongoing for decades and as far as invasions -- Ukraine is not innocent -- nor is Russia.  This isn't our war.  The U.S. has given Z plenty and yet he belly aches, and slanders.

I pray for the Ukrainian people as well as the Russian people.

Let's not forget Z was best buddies with Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi.  That's my lasting memory.

Not sure why anybody thinks that Zaluzhnyi would even consider surrendering to Putin...he hates the Russians and fought them tooth and nail for two years.  He's even more of a hardliner than Zelensky!

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

Well ... the Parliament has to lift martial law and approve another election before they could even consider removing Z ... so no worries, and in the meantime, Z can throw all the tantrums he wants.

Right after you prove that you didn't donate money to Joe Biden in the last two Presidential elections.

Lets just say I don't care for either Putin or Zelensky... but abolishing commie parties during a crisis is probable way down my list... compared to Russia invading for land, minerals, and water access.

I find it quite hypocritical of those here calling for 'fair' elections in Ukraine (with so much of the country under Russian control), yet voicing zero concern for fair elections in Russia.

In those areas under Russian occupation, the voter turnout would be at least 150% with 94% of those voters voting for someone like Yanukovych or some other Soviet puppet.

Do you have any evidence of that?

(Don't bother answering.  It was rhetorical.  We already know you don't.)

Trump's a moron when it comes to foreign policy.

I won't agree there.  Trump has made some incredible moves on the foreign policy front.  Which is what makes his recent comments on Ukraine even more outrageous.

Trump is dead wrong on this.  He is positioned to completely break Putin with practically no effort from the US taxpayer.  Not sure why he has such a hard-on for Putin.  Maybe there's a pee-tape after all?

I guarantee that that's going to be Putin's plan if the Ukrainian Parliament relents and 1) ends martial law and then 2) orders a new presidential election...I wouldn't put it past him to even try and get Yanukovych re-elected.

Or his son...

Zelenskyy cannot be trusted.  He has asked several times for more money from the U.S., and Biden more than happily handed it over to him only for Z to continue to ask for more and more and more.

Uh, no.  Zelenskiy asked for weapons, not cash.  But then you knew that already.  And it is also proven that Biden didn't hand cash over to him, but gave it to USAID instead.  Not sure why you keep regurgitating this.

Dear J.D.,

I love ya man, but...DJT has called Z an unelected dictator, while negotiating with a dictator elected under forced elections. Says that Z could have stopped this war, while negotiating with the invader.

And Z is the one that is supposed to "make nice or else"? If I'm not mistaken Ukraine signed an agreement that guaranteed assistance when they gave up their nuclear weapons. Seems to me, any cash or military weapons provided would fall under that agreement.

I'm sure Z isn't a perfect human being, but he has stayed to fight and tried to do the best to protect his country. I think Putin must be a better kisser than Z.

Yours truly,

berdie

Looking back at early 2022, the entire Russian army was positioned north of Kyiv poised to surround and occupy the Ukrainian capital.  Assassination squads were being sent into the city to remove the elected head of the  Ukrainian government.

Do you remember how Zelenskiy, staring at the inevitable, loaded up a helicopter full of cash and flew off to live the rest of his life in luxury on some tropical island, abandoning his countrymen at the mercy of the Russian invaders?

No, I don't remember Zelenskiy doing that either.
