She did look like she could snap Newsom in two like a twig, I must say.

you should tell her right now what a fashion faux pas she made. I think the photo exudes strength and sends the message that she is not to be screwed with this time around.

The photo sends the message she'll be screwing around with policy.  No one needs this interference, let alone another Dr. Jill.

Let's hope Melania sticks with BeBest, fashion and White House getaways.

I don't see, "I'm messing around with policy" so much as, "I'm strong and unintimidated, but still a nice person (see the smile?)"

She's wearing a business suit leaning over a desk in an office with WDC in the background.  It's a standard pose for the politically powerful.

In Washington, you're politically powerful based on your ability to affect legislation or cause a mess.  I don't want her anywhere near legislation and would prefer she not repeat her "I really don't care" moment.

Melania Trump’s Official Portrait Is Revealed

Trending Politics News
By Chris Powell
January 27, 2025

The White House has officially unveiled the official portrait of First Lady Melania Trump.

In a striking black-and-white photograph taken by Belgian photographer Regine Mahaux, First Lady Melania Trump is depicted in the Yellow Oval Room a day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.

Dressed in a suit paired with a white blouse, she stood with her hands resting on the table with the Washington Monument visible in the backdrop.

The image contrasts with her 2017 portrait, presenting a more serious demeanor, just like her husband.

Hmmm. She has historically ("Don't Care" jacket notwithstanding) not been super front-and-center in the political/legislative arena, so I'm not really expecting her to jump in feet first during The Donald's second term.  I guess time will tell.

Her picture IMHO exudes strength, conservatism and a readiness to serve the American people on an 'as needed' basis. I look for her to accompany the President when necessary and to meet with the wives of dignitaries, but that's about it.  I definitely don't see her becoming much more involved than that.

I really anticipate that she will stay out of the public eye more this time around than before.  Also, if she's criticized, by her picture, she really doesn't care.  Her husband the President, IS going to accomplish what is needed for America to heal.

Vogue launches vile attack on Melania Trump after Anna Wintour slobbered over Jill Biden and Kamala Harris

Vogue launched a vicious review of Melania Trump's newly-revealed White House portrait, comparing the first lady's look to that of a magician.

The magazine spent four years fawning over the previous White House administration, featuring both Jill Biden and Kamala Harris on the cover several times each, and its latest piece on Melania reaffirms their preference for Democrats.

Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is a known Democrat - and was once even rumored to be considered for an ambassadorship under president Barack Obama.

'Trump looked more like a freelance magician than a public servant,' wrote Hannah Jackson about the white-and-black portrait by Régine Mahaux.
