Secret Service acting director warns 'we are redlining' agents after initial attempt on Trump warranted 'paradigm shift': 'Don't have an alternative'
By Ryan King

US Secret Service acting director Ronald Rowe Jr. ominously warned that the agents at the Protective Service are being "redlined."

While making a public plea for more resources, including for better training and recruitment, Rowe explained that agents are being pushed to the max with the onslaught of major political events such as the party conventions and recent presidential debates.

"You can't just give me money and say, 'Hey, we're going to make sure that everybody gets overtime,' because the men and women of the Secret Service right now, we are redlining them, and they are rising to this moment, and they are meeting the challenges right now," Rowe said during a press conference.

Rowe stressed that he "ordered a paradigm shift" coming out of the Butler, Pa. rally and that "We need to get out of a reactive model, and get to a ready model."

"We don't have an alternative. Success, we have to have it every day. We cannot have failures. And in order to do that, we're going to have some hard conversations with Congress, and we're going to achieve that," he added.

Veltri did not say who is representing Routh, who was charged earlier today with possessing a firearm despite being a convicted felon and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

We often ponder why we can't get a conservative candidate to run. If their reputations aren't smeared, their livelyhoods at stake or the stress put on their families...now they could face lawfare, impeachment if elected or attempted assassination. Add in the fact that they really can't make a lasting change.

I don't think the multiple extremes against Donald Trump automatically carryover to the next Republican/Conservative POTUS candidate @berdie  Trump must be elimin*ted because he is a free agent --- owing no allegiance to the ruling UniParty.  His only influencers are the American people.

The FBI had Ryan Routh on their radar since at least 2019.

Yeah, probably as an employee.
That or on their radar as a potential tool.

If Donald Trump is held responsible for Jan. 6 because of his allegations that the 2020 election was stolen, is it unfair, after two assassination attempts, to hold responsible the Democrats who have ceaselessly claimed Trump is a threat to democracy?

Not only is it fair, it is rational and justified.  The democrat party bears moral responsibility for the assassination attempts.

Suspected Trump gunman had no direct sight of Trump, did not fire any shots at ex-prez: officials
By Ronny Reyes

Ryan Wesley Routh did not fire shots at Donald Trump, nor did he have a direct line of sight on the former President at his Florida golf course, officials said.

US Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe said there was no evidence that Routh had any information that Trump would be playing on the golf course on Sunday, where he staked out the scene for about 12 hours.

Rowe said they found Routh hiding on the public side of the fence along the sixth hole, where Trump could not be spotted as he was traveling between holes.

The gunshots heard on Sunday came from the Secret Service agent who spotted Routh, who quickly fled the scene.

Maybe, just maybe..he was outed before Trump got close enough? Good job by that SSA.

But ....the question still is; how did he know that Trump was going to be at that course at that particular time?? Yes, he waited 12 hours ... but he still knew what course he was going to be at.

Keep in mind that 'golf time' was not logged.

Just a lucky guess???  Trump plays at different courses all the time.  How did they know he waited for 12 hours??

IF indeed he was in waiting for 12 hours, you mean to tell me that the SS didn't sweep the perimeter of the course and also within 500 yards?  It is my understanding that the SS normally sweeps an area ahead of time and within 500  yards outside of that perimeter.

The SS is stretched because of all the rallies he does? Seriously?  Sunny FL on a beautiful day on a beautiful golf course ... IMHO they didn't do their darn job and by the grace of GOD Routh was spotted before he got a shot in.

@berdie something isn't right    If there wasn't question, DeSantis wouldn't be wanting to conduct his own investigation using his own people.

@Right_in_Virginia DeSantis is trying to retain Routh in FL and wants to conduct his own investigation with his own team.

Good on DeSantis but hopefully he has the loyalty of his own people that he thinks he has.  I'm not knocking DeSantis, but who do you trust these days?? He's bucked the 'system' more than once.

Kamala Harris Sr. Adviser David Plouffe Previously Called for Extermination of Donald Trump and ‘His Kind’

Kamala Harris senior adviser David Plouffe once called for the extermination of former President Donald Trump and “his kind,” according to a 2016 post on X — another example of Democrats calling for harm against the former president that has been highlighted in the wake of another assassination attempt.

Once again -- this election is very obviously about electing a Pro-American president vs. an Anti-American president.  Good v. evil.

Your choice.

Everything you say could be true. I don't know. But maybe Trump is a creature of habit? So there was a good chance he would be there? It's been reported that the guy had been there for 12 hours.

I am glad DeSantis is conducting an investigation.

Kamala must step before a camera immediately and disavow her party’s and her own inflammatory rhetoric of incitement against President Trump. She must tell her followers he is NOT a threat to democracy, he is not a dictator, and tell anyone who is planning violence to stand down.

Agreed. At this point forward it IS time for Harris and the DEM party to acknowledge that Trump is NOT a threat to democracy and though they have political differences, that does NOT make him a threat.

Russia collusion? Bogus impeachments? J6? Two assassination attempts? It's time that the DEMS own up to what they've been doing; however, they never will.

I continue to pray for Trump and his family.

@corbe  One thing is for certain; we are facing an extreme evilness in this country.  Like Trump or not what is being done to him and what has been done to him in the past is WRONG!!!

We either stand together now and stand up against the evil that keeps trying to prevail in this country or we lose our Republic.  I have absolutely no doubt.  None whatsoever.

I guess this is a good time to reiterate my situation @Libertybelle IF I lived in a swing state I would hold my nose and vote for DJT.  I have the blessing to live in TEXAS, which Trump, Cruz, Roy and Issac will take with ease (I don't believe these BS polls).

Well, it's not the polls that I'm worried about @corbe but the drastically changing demographics and the fact that the DEMS have cheating down pat.  Trump should take FL easily, but I'm still going to vote for him.

If Trump gets in, he'll change that. He campaigned on a Big Beautiful Wall that mehico would pay for in 2016, We have that, don't we?    22chief
