Why?

1. This is the first such criminal whose social media posts were NOT scrubbed by the Feds before they released his name. In other words, they WANT you to see those social media posts.

2. It's another failure of the Secret Service and this time they admit that President Trump is getting substandard protection.

3. An AK-type weapon? Looks like a Norinco SKS. That's weird.

4. The cops did a felony stop on him and they didn't kill him? Their restraint is unusual.

5. Ryan Wesley Routh is supposedly a Nikki Haley supporter? Like she attracts militant types to her campaigns? I'm sorry but on behalf of everyone allow me to say, Huh?

There are reagents that can pick off a date of rubbed thin Buffalo Nickel.  I don't believe that the number can be fully obliterated, with proper forensics technique.

Unless he really boogered it up, like with a drill.

I think that’s mostly light sensors, which would be less destructive, and also I think show higher density which reveals the original etch.

From what I’ve seen watching forensic shows for ages as long as the metal etch site in general is not totally destroyed, the number can be ascertained.

Just a thought ..... Someone within his SS leaking info to perhaps someone who isn't immediately within the current CIA, FBI -- but perhaps someone with former ties. Who hates Trump that much and might still have those connections?

Quite likely. Still, the question remains how did he (they) know what course Trump was playing and the time and for him to hide out for 12 hours? That's a long time for him not to be spotted much sooner.
