No, he didn't.
He came from a life of riches and wealth and has given up a life of luxuries. In addition to being shot at he has endured bogus collusion accusations, impeachments, raids on his home and numerous trials. He could have easily bowed out. He hasn't.

Trump absolutely loves being the center of attention. That's been his consistent pattern his entire life. Being President is the ultimate "look at me" power aphrodisiac. He loves being President, he loves the screaming crowds when campaigning. I don't see how anyone who has seen his rallies can believe he doesn't enjoy the hell out of them.
