Not about to rehash the same nonsense with these inbred Trump haters trying to pass themselves off as being fair and balanced forum pundits.

Every criticism of Trump/Vance has been 100% on policy.  Why that sends you over the edge is beyond me. That's a normal part of the process. And if the policy differences are too great for someone to decide not to vote for them, that's their business.

And the left is just as fired up to keep Trump out of office as you are to get him back in. They are just as passionate in the belief  that a Trump second term means the end of America as much as you believe a Biden(or now whoever) second term will

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

@mountaineer

I'm with you, my friend.

Not about to rehash the same nonsense with these inbred Trump haters trying to pass themselves off as being fair and balanced forum pundits.

Calls me a "liar" for claiming we are facing a binary choice come November.  Say I'm "outted" [sic] because at this point in time given our choices, I claim not to care about TRUMP/VANCE policies.

We have positive proof the GOP is the only choice this November.

Eff them all!

I would have voted for Trump, but since I gave money to Haley (yes I'm a Haley supporter) and Trump said he doesn't want my vote anyway.  So I'll be happy to oblige his request.

Plus I don't see the Trump / Vance ticket winning back the suburban woman voters. Going to be hard to win without them.

Folks, The GOP/MAGA party that has emerged is NOT a conservative party. I grant you that. But it is a party with some conservative leanings that has emerged from the democratic process, and, unlike unbridled conservativism, it has the potential to gain a voting plurality unlike anything we have seen since Reagan. So let's look at the good, bad and ugly of the current GOP/MAGA movement (from my point of view):

THE GOOD
1. Peace through strength, avoidance of foreign wars
2. Deregulation, especially in the energy sector
3. Secure borders
4. Conservative appointments to the courts
5. Resistance to the woke agenda

THE BAD
1. Lack of fiscal responsibility
2. Tariffs and isolationism
3. Failure to dismantle the bloated federal bureaucracy (Trump did not even go after Public Broadcasting or Education the first time around)
4. No genuine appetite for constitutionally-limited government, or individual freedom
5. Bias toward devalued dollar

THE UGLY
1. The personality cult That fails to question the cult leader
2. The personality of the cult leader himself, whose narcissism is a weakness that can be exploited and then betrayed  by the worst sorts of sycophants

I won't bother to try to make the case that the good outweighs the bad and the ugly. I will simply say that under a future Biden or Harris (or someone else?) administration, there is no good. Only bad and ugly, and getting worse and uglier by the day. So I will vote for Trump, and I will expect only three things from him: energy deregulation, border security and good judicial appointments. If he delivers on those three things, I feel my vote will have been justified.

Finally, let me say this. We may think that voting no on Trump now might usher in some future conservative utopia, free from the mass hallucination that is MAGA. I have come to realize that politics does not really work that way. If it did, there would have been a conservative utopia after George HW Bush or Bob Dole. There wasn't. There never will be, for the simple reason that thoughtful, constitutionally-principled conservatism is a minority view in this nation, and has been for three generations.

We are a parasitic nation, and parasites are not going to vote for anything that keeps them from being able to suck sustenance from the host.

Very good post.

As far as I can tell, Trump hasn't said anything about using the Federal Society for judicial recommendations.   I'm concerned that if he just picks them on his own, it could be bad news.

Do we live in such an outrageous reality that Haley could be the pick?  We can’t. Can we?

When it comes to this election cycle, nothing surprises me

Republican vice presidential candidates going to the left on economic issues

Republican candidates PACs supporting Democrat candidates

A presidential candidate with dementia, and another almost losing his life in an assassination attempt

It would not surprise me at all if Nikki Haley came out and endorsed Kamala Harris

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

You Russian-loving MAGA a**hats and other Haley bashers stuff it where the sun doesn't shine!

She is on record supporting Trump!
I'm not voting for anyone like the old fart or heels-up Harris!

But if you continue down this path I might as well vote for Harris just to p*ss you MAGA a**hats off out of spite!

P*ssing a group of voters is no way to win elections.  Maybe that is why there is a group of Haley supporters supporting Harris.  Also, she is on record denouncing the PAC.

If I get banned for saying this S**t so be it.

@kevindavis007 --- you are absolutely welcome to vote for whomever you want.  I find it laughable that you think I'm trying to pizz off voters.   All candidates have their faults, including Haley, my preference was DeSantis. I see her as more liberal and not exactly truthful.  If that puts your panties in a wad, so be it.   :silly:

Calling me a Russia loving MAGA azzhat just shows your overwhelming lack of judgement. Calling me an azzhat shows your character so no need for me to even fire back.

Interesting, up until there was an assassination attempt on Trump, I was deadset against voting for him and was only going to vote down ballot.

Carry on @kevindavis007  :laugh:

@Right_in_Virginia  I guess I'm now a member of the Russian-loving MAGA a**hats   :beer:

Speaking of the minimum wage,  we know JD Vance supports raising it and  Kamala Harris does too although Trump’s position is unclear. But this is what happened when California raised theirs

@mountaineer

I'm with you, my friend.

Not about to rehash the same nonsense with these inbred Trump haters trying to pass themselves off as being fair and balanced forum pundits.

Calls me a "liar" for claiming we are facing a binary choice come November.

@DCPatriot

There you go posting lies again.  No one here called you a "liar" for claiming we are facing a binary choice come November.  No one.  You simply made it up.  Bearing false witness against other members here.  Again.

Oh, and about that "binary choice" bit; let's have a look at the definition of the word 'binary', shall we?

binary  -  adj.

involving a choice or condition of two alternatives (such as on-off or yes-no)[/i][/color]

Does that describe the election in November?  Well, let's see.  One can vote for the Democrat nominee or the GOP nominee, or RFK, Jr., or the Green Party nominee, or the Libertarian nominee, or the Constitution Party nominee, or one of several declared Independents.  Does this describe a "binary" choice?  By definition, it clearly does not since there are certainly more than two alternatives.  Hence, any statement declaring it a "binary" choice would be a falsehood, a prevarication, an untruth, a fabrication, a lie.

Now having settled that, please take note that my description targeted your statement, not you.  At no point did I call you a "liar".  I only stated that something you posted was a lie.  Demonstrably so.  So you might want to keep your emotions in check next time before compounding one lie with another.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

There is going to be a Democrat or a Republican POTUS elected in November.  That's BINARY!
