Why conservatives stick up for this idiot bunch is beyond me

It's not a matter of sticking up for the cultists, it's a matter of opposing government over-reach, objecting to the Feds trampling on the rights enumerated in the First and Second Amendments (at least, arguably a few others as well).  One can have utter contempt for Koresh and his lunatic approach to the Christian Scriptures (as an Orthodox Christian, I do), and still regard the Waco siege and aftermath as an abominable exercise in tyranny and murder by our government, worse than any of the impositions George III and Lord North's parliament visited on the founding generation.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

It will be somebody young, new and fresh who is  a Bill Clinton 2.0 moderate.. A Beshear or Lara Kelly from Kansas type. That person along with the new Vp has already been picked. Biden is in on it. They are holding out.

People will remember the great Clinton years, roaring economy, balanced budget, welfare reform, cracked down on crime (with help from Newt and the gang).
The Orange Turd will not know what hit him.

The problem is getting them past the progressive/socialist wing of the party

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Everything you cite, has Gingrich's fingerprints on it, and all Slick Willie had to do was sign.

And John Kascich(sp)

I'll put my money on Newsom and Whitmer.

Originally I thought Big Mike would reluctantly accept, but now I think the party leadership will go for two relatively young governors.

I don't think there is enough time to run someone that doesn't already have wide-spread name recognition along with a positive favorable approval rating.

Just as with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama before him, the dems know Newsom will attract a huge majority of the female vote, so he’ll be the selectee.

Waco?  A bunch of idiot bible thumpers who were brainwashed by a cult leader. They had ample opportunity to get out. poor innocent kids though. But the adults got what they deserved for being idiots. Yeah the David Koresh who would f**k the other guys wives and they allowed it and who diddled young girls. Good riddance.
Because when you disagree with someone it's okay to burn them to death, right?

We can allow for people who believe their daughters should have their throats cut for shaming their family, the infidels should have their heads removed, in the name of their god, but let someone act like half of Hollywood, and they have to be assaulted like Iwo Jima and killed.

If the BATF wanted to inspect the books, what ever happened to just knocking on the door? They had done it before, without some grandstand play.

Since when does the BATF 'do' Social Services' work?

There are more glaring irregularities in what happened there (right down to allegations of sexual impropriety timed to be front page news the day of the raid) than there were with Bill Clinton talking about Monica, (pointing at Helen Thomas and saying "I did not have sex with that woman."). The Front page hit piece was an irrelevant to the attack on a church group, but the headlines get the suckers to think 'it serves them right'.

Agitptrop is nothing new. The Feds blew the raid, and covered their tracks, finally poking flue holes in a building full of men, women, and children, spraying CS in a carrier of Methylene Chloride (chief ingredient in carburetor cleaner; hazardous, and flammable) and shooting pyro tear gas rounds into the upwind end of the complex until it lit up.

Funny how the steel entry door that would have shown who shot first went missing, too.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Will Cain raised a point while subbing for Jesse Watters. He said the Dems are looking to move Joe out and replace him because they can’t win with Joe - not because it is the best for the country.

Seems like things are beginning to tilt towards Kamala. FJB may even resign according to some rumblings.

I will not be 100% convinced that VP Harris will be the nominee, until after the DNC is wrapped up in Chicago.
The media thinks so (or wants us to).
It's the same media that said Joe Biden was fine a few short weeks ago.

With the Obamas jumping on the Harris bus, I suppose the die is cast.  They have gone all in on one of the absolute worst people ever in politics.

I fully expect Trump to shred her into confetti.  If they think things were bad with Biden, give the Trump organization a little time and Cackling Kam the opportunity to earn the James Watt award for stupidity.
