Shadow campaigns: 7 Democratic candidates who could step in if President Biden drops out of 2024 race

Story by Andrew Miller

President Biden’s widely panned debate performance has sparked a firestorm of speculation on whether Democrats will switch horses midstream and select a new presidential nominee from a generally accepted list of candidates.

VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS

Harris, 59, would seemingly be the most logical fit, offering the smoothest transition given her position as vice president, and some calls for her to step in have already been issued.

"After deep reflection over these past few days, I strongly believe that our best path forward is Kamala Harris," Tim Ryan, the former Democratic congressman and presidential candidate, wrote in Newsweek on Monday.

Beshear & Dominion would give Trump trouble, IMHO.

It will be somebody young, new and fresh who is  a Bill Clinton 2.0 moderate.. A Beshear or Lara Kelly from Kansas type. That person along with the new Vp has already been picked. Biden is in on it. They are holding out.

People will remember the great Clinton years, roaring economy, balanced budget, welfare reform, cracked down on crime (with help from Newt and the gang).

I agree.  Big Mike will be on the DEM ticket.

Trump will trounce all those mentioned, but Big Mike will be very difficult for him to beat.

Great Clinton years????  Yes he balanced the budget BUT he was the one that brought embarrassment and the DEM underhandedness, and corruption to the presidency.

Orange Turd?  Seriously????  He's the one person running against the liberal bat crap crazy mental midgets!

Yes, I think most of us realize that Joe was merely a place holder to allow Soros/Obama & company to run our Republic into the ground. They've selected who they want long ago.

Great Clinton Years? The Waco massacre? 'Assault Weapons' Ban? Janet (there is no evidence which exists) Reno? Whitewater? Web Hubbel? Condoms on the White House Christmas tree? Mena, coke, and Barry Seals? (Why is it that there is so much snow around the White House when a Dem is in office?)

If you're going to give anyone credit for a balanced Budget, that should go to Newt Gingrich, because revenue measures originate in the House, as required by the Constitution.

I still think they'll keep Harris (which will make things easier for ow) and Harris will pick Big Mike as her VP.  They'll finish up Joe's term and Harris will step down and Big Mike will run with either Jarrett, Rice or Holder.

Waco?  A bunch of idiot bible thumpers who were brainwashed by a cult leader. They had ample opportunity to get out. poor innocent kids though. But the adults got what they deserved for being idiots. Yeah the David Koresh who would f**k the other guys wives and they allowed it and who diddled young girls. Good riddance.

God cleaning out the nuts. Koresh had 20 wives and told the men not to masturbate and be celibate but he had sex with their wives. That is well documented from survivors. Again, they had ample opportunity to leave.  The govt said most would never have been charged

Why conservatives stick up for this idiot bunch is beyond me

I picked the stoner option in the poll.

If they genuinely want to win, they need to start a draft Laura Kelly movement.  She's able to work with the GOP controlled Kansas legislature, and doesn't have any of the insane COVID lock-down policy baggage most 'Rat governors have.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
