I didn't get it. It was on sale for a few days but then it jumped up to too expensive .

Maybe if it goes back on sale again in the future.

Thank you @GtHawk for the review. ❤️
If you have Prime both Eureka and Warehouse 13 are available.

I broke down and watched "Meteor" from 1979.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0wLbtqGKKA

Cheesy, low budget disaster flick with a stellar ensemble cast who literally had to roll around in mud at the end, that pretty much killed off the genre.

But seeing Natalie Wood and hearing her speak her native Russian was totally worth it!

I remember watching a few of those disaster films from the seventies. Didn't see "Meteor" but I did see "Earthquake" or something with that name. I guess "The Poseidon Adventure" was like that. Didn't much like them. I haven't seen a disaster flick since.
Though, I have seen numerous movies that were disasters.

I enjoyed Eureka @GtHawk

I saw a news story that this weekend marked the 20th anniversary of the premiere of "Lost" on TV.

Never saw it before, so I went to Netflix and started it.

Watched a couple of episodes and stopped . Just wasn't feeling it and several people I met at my gym told me don't even bother with this one.

Anyone planning to see Matt Walsh's documentary on DEI?

Previews look pretty funny

We went to the theater and saw it last week. We normally would have probably waited until it was available On Demand, but we thought we'd go ahead and bump up the box office numbers and we went on Senior Day so the ticket price wasn't too outrageous.

It was a great move - very well done and very funny. Unfortunately, the people who really should watch it wouldn't be caught dead doing so.

About a week ago, my mom mentioned a streaming service called Tubi which is the fastest growing streaming service in the country - according to the NYT. It is also totally free!

I downloaded the app, and it is great!  In the last two days I started watching two old shows - one I remember called "The Critic"  with Jon Lovitz. (Cartoon)

They also have the original Dragnet from the 50s and it's wonderful! I grew up with the 60s one- with Henry Morgan before he went on MASH.

And they had a show which I recall but I don't really remember - Soap!

It is a free streaming service- highly recommend.

Yeah I like Tubi a lot!  It's free and has all those old shows and movies from the 1980s backward...much better than today's Hollywood drivel.

I heard it reached No.4 in the Box Office.  That's amazing for a Conservative Mockumentary.

Watched - The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek series on Prime and was astounded.
Big Star Trek fan and never knew any of this stuff.
Constant budget fights, script fights, management and staff in-fighting.
And the whole thing was so haphazard, fly by seat of the pants, amateurish.

Turns out Rodenberry was an odd eccentric control freak who was eventually sidelined from the show due to his erratic drinking and erratic behavior. I always idolized Rodenberry and thought of him as a genius. This revelation really blew my mind as did many other factoids.

If you follow Star Trek, you will find the docu-series very eye-opening.

Oh yeah, and that's just scratching the surface!  I'm a big time Star Trek fan too, having grown up with the original series in re-runs and with the Animated Series on Saturday morning cartoons!

Watched the British original version of 'The Office'. Three seasons with 14 episodes.

It has all the basic building blocks of the American version of the show down to specific details.

Both are about a paper company.

Receptionist (who loves to draw) and salesman are 'in love' but she is engaged to be married.
Boss is goofy and awkward, constantly trying to tell jokes.
Boss has a crush on a vulgar and repulsive employee similar to Todd Packer in the American version.
Boss is constantly disruptive and wants meetings to discuss nonsense.
They have a Dwight Schrute character who is assistant 'to' the regional manager.
The salesman and the receptionist play pranks on the Schrute character.
In the end, the salesman and receptionist wind up together.
There is a merger of two branches.

The British version is a detailed bare-bones outline of the American version. The biggest difference is the British version is dark and depressing. It is a comedy, but it is dark comedy much more than the American show. I can tell why it did not really catch on in England. Would not recommend watching it unless you are interested in the prequel to American "The Office".

Ricky Gervais is far funnier than Steve Carell. Which is why I watched the Brit version but not the American one. Carell simply can't be as good as Gervais.

I watched a Romantic Comedy Christian movie... I took a chance on it being better than most other Christian movies and was surprised with liking it... It is quirky like me.... and most folks didn't get into it .... because they just didn't want to I guess... but it was actually funny and witty and wordy... not too preachy, but also not too secular. I give it a 8/10 because it deserves it....

Film was called "OLD FASHION" and can be found free on Youtube in decent bitrate....

Basically it deals with a fellow that is trying to navigate his future life (dating and being prepared) but dealing with a lot of past sin that he is ashamed of.

Thanks for the tip.  I tried in the hope I could get the wife to try a non-Hallmark movie.

No such luck.

She did not take the bait, so now I have to watch more of the same.

I pride myself as almost an expert in recognizing Hallmark actors/actresses, who the winners and losers are in each movie, etc.
It's the only way to watch a movie with her, so I take my lumps.

BTW, it is called Old Fashioned, not Old Fashion.
