A spokesperson for the Egyptian army says a drug smuggling attempt was thwarted near the Al-Awja (Nitzana) crossing, 6 individuals were arrested and one died

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated a female soldier was wounded in a firefight with 20 suspects attempting to cross the border from Egypt, while Egyptian officials said a drug smuggling operation was thwarted in the area.

A spokesperson for the Egyptian army said a clash broke out and one individual was killed south of the Al-Awja (Nitzana) border crossing, adding the smuggling of an "estimated 174 kilograms of narcotic substances of various types, was thwarted."

The IDF, for its part, only indicated that the Israeli soldiers identified hitting the suspects near the Nitzana border opening, without going into detail about the incident. The female soldier was initially moderately wounded, but after medical treatment her condition has improved.

Israeli physicians are preparing for the devastating possibility that some women being held hostage by Hamas may have been raped and impregnated by their captors.

Specialists and medical centers across Israel are holding internal discussions on how to approach the physical and emotional condition of female hostages who could be several weeks pregnant following the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas, the Hebrew publication Maariv reported

“I am uncertain how they will cope, but we must prepare now for this terrible theoretical possibility of a woman conceiving or raising such a child. Thus, we must stop this atrocity, not allow the captives to perish there, bring them back, and provide them with care,” Prof. Tal Biron-Shental, chair of obstetrics and gynecology at Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, told the outlet.

Depending on the circumstances of conception and the age of the mother, pregnant women in Israel can apply to terminate a pregnancy up until the moment of birth, according to the Ministry of Health.

While early-stage abortions involve expelling the pregnancy using oral medications, a later-term termination requires a higher-risk procedure to stop the fetus’ heart activity with a syringe, Maariv said.

Netanyahu reportedly rejected the idea.

NBC News reported Wednesday that Blinken, and Biden, are therefore trying to work around Netanyahu — the democratically-elected leader of Israel — in a departure from the Biden administration’s posture as the supposed defender of democratic ideals:

Blinken told Netanyahu that ultimately there is no military solution to Hamas, according to the officials, and that the Israeli leader needs to recognize that or history will repeat itself and violence will continue. But, the officials said, Netanyahu was unmoved.

The officials said the Biden administration is trying to lay the groundwork with other Israeli and civil society leaders in anticipation of an eventual post-Netanyahu government. In an attempt to work around Netanyahu, Blinken also met individually with members of his war Cabinet and other Israeli leaders, including opposition leader and former Prime Minister Yair Lapid, officials said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a veiled rebuke to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday night, pushing back against Blinken’s claim that Israel could not defeat Hamas in Gaza, and that it should accept a Palestinian state.

Without naming Blinken specifically, Netanyahu criticized those who, he said wanted to tie Israel’s hands and said that Israel could not win.

On Wednesday, reports emerged that Blinken had told Netanyahu last week that Israel would not succeed in destroying Hamas’s military capabilities — an assertion at odds with Israel’s ongoing military success, and strong Israeli public support for the war. Blinken and the Biden administration also want Israel to accept a Palestinian state as a condition of peace.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Blinken told New York Times columnist Tom Friedman — a rabidly anti-Netanyahu opinion writer — that Israeli society, not the Arab nations, was the current obstacle to peace in the Middle East.

The reaction from the prime minister’s office was defiant.

I haven't watched it; I don't think I can handle it without it being etched in my mind for a long time. It sickens me just reading about it. I am very, very glad though that the horrific atrocities are being exposed. Perhaps it will shed some light in the eyes of the pro-Hamas individuals and groups.

The Israeli military dealt a major blow on Thursday to the terror group Hamas by destroying its main weapons manufacturing site in Gaza.

This vast web of rocket and weapons manufacturing factories, hidden inside civilian buildings in central Gaza, was connected through a massive network of underground tunnels. The dozens of terrorist-run factories were “connected to a tunnel route hundreds of kilometers long,” the Israel Defense Forces revealed Thursday.

These tunnels were being used to supply weapons and ammunition to Hamas’s terrorist fighting force across Gaza. “Using the tunnel network, weapons were transported throughout the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military said.

The IDF revealed the details of the operation in a statement on Thursday evening:

The 36th Division, in cooperation with soldiers of the Yahalom and Shaldag units, exposed and destroyed the heart of Hamas’ weapons manufacturing industry near the Salah Al-Din Road in the Gaza Strip. The area consists of weapons factories and lathes, both above and below ground, that were used to produce ammunition and weapons for Hamas operatives.

The soldiers located dozens of tunnel shafts connected to a tunnel route hundreds of kilometers long, including a tunnel shaft in the residence of a senior official in Hamas’ weapons production unit. The tunnels were divided into areas used for the production of rockets and weapons. Using the tunnel network, weapons were transported throughout the Gaza Strip.

The Biden Idiocracy continues in its terror of destroying the USA in every way possible, while causing global chaos. Biden is such a weak POS that all the bad players think they have the freedom to do as they please, and they are.

Biden has funded terror in the Middle East, and thousands have died because of his incompetence.

The thought he might get another four more years is almost incomprehensible.

President Biden suggested Friday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could come around to a two-state solution with Palestine if given the “right” terms.

Asked by NBC News if he believed Netanyahu would change his mind on a pathway for Palestine to gain autonomy, he said, “Yes, given the right one.”

His comments come after the Israeli prime minister rejected the U.S. and Arab nations in the region to consider establishing a Palestinian state after the war between Israel and the militant group Hamas ends.

“In any future arrangement … Israel needs security control over all territory west of the Jordan,” Netanyahu said Thursday. “This collides with the idea of sovereignty. What can you do?”

In response, White House national security spokesman John Kirby claimed it wasn’t a new comment from the prime minister, but “we obviously see it differently.”

“We believe that the Palestinians have every right to live in an independent state with peace and security,” Kirby said. “And the president and his team is going to continue to work on that.”

President Biden suggested Friday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could come around to a two-state solution with Palestine if given the “right” terms.

Asked by NBC News if he believed Netanyahu would change his mind on a pathway for Palestine to gain autonomy, he said, “Yes, given the right one.”

Where in the hell has this dumb-ass been for the last fifty years? Talk about clueless. A political career spanning half a century, and not a single time he was right about foreign policy. Not a single time.

Joe, do us all a favor and STFU. And the same goes for that idiot Blinken.

Yesterday, Joe Biden had a phone call with Bibi Netanyahu. In more normal times, such a call between the leaders of closely allied nations would be nothing unusual, particularly when one of them is in the midst of a brutal war against a terrorist regime. But believe it or not, despite all of the visits to Israel by Tony Blinken and others, it had been four weeks since Biden and Netanyahu had spoken directly. We don’t have a transcript of the call, but based on the reporting of the Associated Press, there is a lot more “strain” in the relationship at the moment so it wasn’t all sunshine and roses.

President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally spoke Friday after a glaring, nearly four-week gap in direct communication during which fundamental differences have come into focus over a possible pathway to Palestinian statehood once the fighting in Gaza ends.

Biden and his top aides have all but smothered Netanyahu with robust support, even in the face of global condemnation over the mounting civilian death toll and humanitarian suffering in Gaza as the Israelis have carried out military operations in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

But the leaders’ relationship has increasingly shown signs of strain as Netanyahu has repeatedly rebuffed Biden’s calls for Palestinian sovereignty, gumming up what the U.S. president believes is the key to unlocking a durable peace in the Middle East — the oft-cited, elusive two-state solution.

At least for the moment, Joe Biden continues to support Israel publicly in their war against Hamas, though he has been urging more “restraint” in terms of minimizing Palestinian casualties and ensuring a steady flow of aid into Gaza. But now the disagreement between the two leaders is reportedly centered not on the war itself, but what comes after. Joe Biden has jumped on the bandwagon of people calling for an independent Palestinian state.

The U.S., Qatar, and Egypt have reportedly proposed a deal in which Hamas would free the remaining 136 Israeli hostages (or their bodies) in exchange for Israel withdrawing from Gaza and ending the war without destroying the terrorist organization.

Israeli airstrike takes out Hezbollah member in Lebanon in apparent shift to targeted killings

SIDON, Lebanon — An Israeli airstrike hit two vehicles near a Lebanese army checkpoint in south Lebanon on Sunday, killing a Hezbollah member and wounding several other people, including civilians, Lebanese state media and health officials reported.

The strike appeared to be part of a shift in Israeli strategy toward targeted killings in Lebanon after more than three months of near-daily clashes with Hezbollah militants on the border against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.

Hezbollah announced that one of its members, identified as Fadel Shaar, had been killed in the strike in the town of Kafra. Local civil defense and hospital officials said seven people were wounded, including two women, one of whom was in critical condition.

Video from the scene showed a passenger sedan in flames next to a small truck stopped in the middle of the road.

The Israeli military did not comment on the strike.
