McDonald’s donating thousands of free meals to IDF, civilians
By Olivia Land
McDonald’s Israel is donating thousands of free meals to members of the Israel Defense Forces and civilians following Hamas’ surprise attack last weekend, the company announced on Instagram Thursday.
"McDonald's donated and continues to donate tens of thousands of meals to IDF units, the police, hospitals, residents around the Strip and all rescue forces,” the post — translated from Hebrew to English by Insider — read. (McDonald's Israel IG account is private.)
“We continue donating thousands of meals daily to our forces across the country. In addition to a 50% discount to soldiers and security forces who come to our branches."
In another post, McDonald’s said it opened five new restaurants just to provide aid for security forces.
The Golden Arches will deliver 4,000 meals per day, it said. It has already provided 12,000 meals to the IDF and Israeli civilians.
