Hurray!! Looking forward to being here, for it. Although I wish the moderator was the slot machine from the Twilight Zone with June Foray's voice. Somehow I think it's more fitting for Vegas. Just my opinion.

Lucky for me tonight is my class with my 6th graders (Old Testament). Our lesson last week was on Moses, and I asked them to come up with adjectives that correspond to being a leader. They did a great job, the list was at least a dozen.
I then asked them which of those could be applied to Hillary or Trump. They didn't respond...crickets.
I've got another class of smart 6th graders...lucky me!

@Wingnut
I'm going to get sick of winning! Wheeee!
-
My wife wants to watch this thing. What else can either say that hasn't been said? Trump, if he can avoid insults, should go after her about Wikileaks (probably to no avail), and she'll bring up his unhinged current behavior and his past mistreatment of women. I'd rather swallow a roll of barbed wire and pull it out my hindquarters, but I'll sit there and watch it with her.
-

Somehow watching Charlie Brown's 'The Great Pumpkin' sounds much more relaxing.

This qualifies as the "for better, for worse" portion of your wedding vows. 😄
Hubby and I are going to listen to the debate from the comfort of our hot tub. Trying to even out the stress level.

For those who have as much interest in this waste of broadcast airwaves as I do, you have options. American Horror Story 6 is on and so is Homicide Hunter: The Case Files of Lt Joe Kenda.
I'll catch the gruesome highlights on this thread later tonight.
-
The Cubs are playing too...Go Cubbies!!!
The Cubs are playing post season? The corruption in this country goes deeper than I thought.
-
Alright, so I guess it's up to me to start it: What are you drinking?
To commemorate this event I'm drinking a bottle of red Zinfandel called Pinnetti from Kroger. Screw top cap? Check! Cheap price? Check! Excellent notes and aromas? Check! Strong enough to numb me and prevent me from weeping for my beloved country by the end of the debate? Nope!

I have zero desire to watch two Democrats debate each other.

Sean Davis @seanmdav 10s11 seconds ago
The notion that Heller is about *toddlers* is so completely and absurdly false that of course Hillary made that her argument.
-
Trump simply cannot articulate a rationale in favor of the 2nd amendment. He just says "well, we'll appoint judges that favor the 2nd amendment."
-
I 'm having a nice big glass of metamucil.
I could go,for your rainbow snow cone. It looks yummy.,

Nice pro-life comments from Trump.

So far Wallace seems to being good job. Trump is dancing around Roe V Wade.

-
Trump thinks 2 more SC justices will overturn Roe v. Wade.
We've had five SC judges who are pro-life and Roe v. Wade is still here.
Roe v. Wade is never going away and it's an utterly stupid waste of political capital to pretend otherwise.
-
Trump simply cannot articulate a rationale in favor of the 2nd amendment. He just says "well, we'll appoint judges that favor the 2nd amendment."
That's because he's not conversant in constitutional protections or the "why" behind the 2A.

Hillary takes first real jabs by saying Trump "choked" by not bringing up the wall w/ Mexican prez, talks about his bashing immigrants
-
And yet, she will be the next POTUS.
Sounds like you are willing to implicate yourself to your daughter as voting in a way that results in Shrillery being re-installed--someone who sees other women as bodies to have domineering sex with; or to murder at will for greater power-mongering; or to intimidate, murder, harrass because they dared to complain about being raped by her husband; or to cackle an evil cackle regarding getting a rapist of a teen off free though Shrillery knew they were guilty . . .
Evidently the evil sexual DEEDS of Shrillery and her partner in outrageous ruthless crime . . . are not as significant to you as a cheap locker-room spew 10 years ago by Shrillery's opponent.
Curious.
= = = =
I'm wondering if Shrillery is a test from God . . . to see how many behave in the ballot box in a way that results in Shrillery getting re-installed as the most evil, Marxist, ruthless, literal practicing witch of a creature back into the White House. . . . as a sign as to just how much judgment and punishment we deserve for choosing--out-right or by default--that level of evil, freely, at the ballot box.
Just as we will give an account of every idle word--we WILL give an account for our behavior at the ballot box at this critical trek to the cliff edge toward utter bloody disaster and chaos.
I'm skeptical that justifying avoiding doing everything to prevent Queen Shrillery's return to tyrannical reign because of a stupid Trump comment will be sufficient excuse.

Looks like 35 minutes is about as long as Trump can go without losing it. He's back on something other than his tax plan.

Nothing about his tax and economic plan which is what Wallace asked about.

Probably will do well to shore up liberal base.

Trump response, "Make it illegal for me to do it."

Looks like 35 minutes is about as long as Trump can go without losing it. He's back on something other than his tax plan.
Trump is losing this debate, soundly. He is not disciplined enough to let go of his talking points

During my lifetime, only one candidate and political party has refused to accept the results of a presidential election. Al Gore followed by at least three years of democrat office holders questioning the legitimacy of President Bush's election.
A 537 vote difference, with the loser winning the national popular vote, required a recount.
Gore did concede, a month later, after court decisions. Would Trump concede after court decisions?

One thing is for sure, Trump won't have any credibility by not conceding if he gets beat by 6 or 7 million votes.

I don't think people will care, at this point, about that. Donald wouldn't be Donald if he conceded. People have probably always realized this.
I called the 2nd debate for Clinton. I pointed out that his "She'll be in jail!" line was the anchor that'd weigh him down. I was right.
It was what people remembered and heard about. It hurt him.
I'm now saying that his refusal to accept the election results beforehand is going to sink him. If his campaign was a sinking ship beforehand, this is the moment his ship splits in two and submerges.
-
Drudge poll has trump winning 75% to 24%
Damn. I was off by 10 points.
-
I honestly don't blame him. We have VERY corrupt elections. Hopefully this will cause people to address the corruption happening. With camera phones etc., it's pretty easy to document corruption. Unless of course it's software etc.
No, we don't. If it was, we'd be seeing hundred, if not thousands, of lawsuits flying every election.

Oh c'mon. I think Pussygate was what really hurt him. People expect bombast from Trump. It's why he's Trump.

Gary Johnson won that debate.

That's rather disappointing...

How so? There are plenty of incidents of non-citizens and voter fraud across the country. It's all over.

Yes. I had it 65-35

hillary has a long record of hurting this country. Trump is merely a dumbass.

One of the big problems in this country is people accepting things without question. If there are discrepancies in the vote they should be addressed. And WE the people should demand it.
240 years of elections have produced only two close presidential elections. NIxon had reason to question Kennedy's win in 1960, but he chose not to, for the good of the country.
Gore conceded after the SC settled the election. Would Trump?
That's why Trump must be beaten by 6 million votes so there is no question. And it looks like that is about to happen.
-
Are you serious? Why on earth do you think the dems don't want voter ID laws?
He has his head in the sand.
Don't take our word for it, take the Washington Post's word:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2014/10/24/could-non-citizens-decide-the-november-election/
The WaPo admits that illegals already decide our election. But just keep believing that a lack of lawsuits keeps us safe and sound.
And of course the illegals throw the elections to the Democrats so they're cool with that.
-
Too much malaise.

Lt. General Mike Flynn on Fox Business, Trump won debate.

Since you know better, file a lawsuit about it.
You'll win and the judge will order the state you filed in to fix it.
Question is... why haven't you? I'm willing to bet that the state GOP would fund your effort.

Does the fact that both political parties encourage illegal immigration not trouble?
What about the fact that all of Trumps talk about a wall has turned out to be just that...talk.

"Winning' debate IMO is inconsequential. People, for the most part, come into it with their pre-conceived notions and everything that follows is just confirmation bias.
It's like here: the never trumpers always think Trump is losing horrible and the Trumpists always think Hillary is getting curb stomped by Trump. And most people are the same way.
-
Trump didn't go to the spin room and Kellyanne ran away from Dana Bash asking about Trump's refusal to agree with her about accepting the outcome of the election.
How many GOP House members and Senators will stick with him, given that he's bleeding support daily? I look for a few to dump him.
-

They do so because Republican governors and Republican state legislatures don't do jack to stop it.

Well considering I quoted your post in my reply...
-
That article doesn't trouble you at all? Tell the truth.
Moving the goalposts, now?
File your lawsuit. You are *SO* sure about this... that you *SHOULD*, just to settle the issue. The GOP will fund this, Trump will fund this, you'd be able to raise a lot on "GoFundMe"... so money's not an issue.
I'm sick of people making claims... and doing nothing about them.
-
Well considering I quoted your post in my reply...
Well yes both parties helping illegals is a big deal to me. it's one of my biggest issues.
As for Trump and the wall... I'm skepitcal it could be done but he should be given a shot at it before declaring it a total defeat.
-

The GOP has done something about it, tried to enact voter ID, and it was struck down by judges nearly every time.
Don't you realize that? Why do you think they want voter ID off the books?
-
Trump didn't go to the spin room and Kellyanne ran away from Dana Bash asking about Trump's refusal to agree with her about accepting the outcome of the election.

I noticed that about Kellyanne. She looked very nervous and fled as soon as she could.
-
Trump lost it, big-time, with the refusal to accept the results of the election.
All the rest will fade, but this won't.
I don't know. I think that lots of Trump supporters wanted to hear that. Because Trump has egged them on to believe the election will be stolen. He was sending signals for all out protest if not violence. You can believe it will happen.
-
Well yes both parties helping illegals is a big deal to me. it's one of my biggest issues.
As for Trump and the wall... I'm skepitcal it could be done but he should be given a shot at it before declaring it a total defeat.
Trump has already reneged on the wall and his own actions in regards to bringing in cheap foreign labor show the falsehood of his alleged tough stance on illegals.
At the end of the day nothing will change in regards to stemming the tide of illegals with either candidate in office.
-
And meanwhile as it slogs through the courts for the next decade nothing real or substantial gets done.
Just like building an oil rig, if you never start, you'll never see completed.
This is the exact same argument liberals made over drilling for oil. That it'd take a decade to do... so why bother.
-
Trump is at least bringing it up.
And after Trump expedites the return of all deported illegals, essentially giving them legal status, they will be able to vote legally.
-
The GOP has done something about it, tried to enact voter ID, and it was struck down by judges nearly every time.
Don't you realize that? Why do you think they want voter ID off the books?
Maybe because there isn't any evidence and that those laws struck down specifically targeted certain groups, instead of affecting everyone equally?
-
"Winning' debate IMO is inconsequential. People, for the most part, come into it with their pre-conceived notions and everything that follows is just confirmation bias.
It's like here: the never trumpers always think Trump is losing horrible and the Trumpists always think Hillary is getting curb stomped by Trump. And most people are the same way.
Yep...I wonder how many folks who have not decided how they will vote actually tune in, I suspect it is a very small number. Seems to me the only thing the debates accomplish is to give the folks on political forums another piece of minutia to argue about...
-
I don't know. I think that lots of Trump supporters wanted to hear that. Because Trump has egged them on to believe the election will be stolen. He was sending signals for all out protest if not violence. You can believe it will happen.
Trump already has his supporters. The point was to get those that are not already his supporters. What he did will drive them away.
-
Just like building an oil rig, if you never start, you'll never see completed.
This is the exact same argument liberals made over drilling for oil. That it'd take a decade to do... so why bother.
My point was the lawsuit won't accomplish the goal we both want to see.
It's going go have to come from a combination of the states reclaiming their rights under the 9th and 10th Amendments and some House and Senate members with the guts to push some real reform through and get it passed.
-
The GOP has done something about it, tried to enact voter ID, and it was struck down by judges nearly every time.
Not here in Georgia. When photo-id law was first passed, a judge struck it down because there was a charge for getting an ID. So the State now gives out free photo IDs, and there's nothing a judge can do now to stop it. When a person votes, they must show photo id to get a ballot.
-
Doctor Carson on Fox Business,
We can send a man to the moon, why don't we secure the voting system.

I thought his pro-life stance was good. It might help with people who object to his objectifying women.

Great for Georgia. Happens all over the rest of the country. Illegals are stealing our elections.

Nigel Farage,
Clinton supported by the banks, life is good for them.
Trump is for all Americans.
Opinion polls on Brexit; showed remain in EU was 10 points up ; but that is because the polls did not count those who were brand new voters.

Elections are already handled by the states.
But with both parties turning a blind eye to illegal immigration they've pretty much usurped the states control over elections on a national and in some cases the state level as well.

Seems like people are ready for a change after 8 years of obama. I guess we'll see.

Watched American Horror Story tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Far more than what I have caught in snippets of the debate during commercials.
Judging by the Drudge Poll, Donny did awesome, so everything seem hunky dory and I didn't miss a thing.
-
Alright, so I guess it's up to me to start it: What are you drinking?
To commemorate this event I'm drinking a bottle of red Zinfandel called Pinnetti from Kroger. Screw top cap? Check! Cheap price? Check! Excellent notes and aromas? Check! Strong enough to numb me and prevent me from weeping for my beloved country by the end of the debate? Nope!
The fermented juices from my refrigerator's lettuce crisper and sterno.

How about Adams v Jackson where Jackson led in both popular and electoral votes but lost the election to Adams in the House of Representatives. How about Hayes v Tilden where Tilden won the popular vote but a dispute in four states led to Hayes being awarded the office. Try the election of 1800 where it went to the House of Representatives where it took 36 ballots to reach a decision. It would also be informative to revisit the events of the Gore v Bush election when then sitting president Clinton publicly urged Gore to not accept the result of the election. We tend to forget history especially when it doesn’t support our narrative.

I believe Bill and Donny have both raped minors at Jeffery Epstien's Fantasy Island. I believe Hitlery and Trump have both eliminated their enemies with the blessings of the Powers that Be. They run in the same circles and are both currupt scum sucker. You believe the fairy tale the media has told you about Trump. You believe you have been given a choice.
Curious, given your willingness to question both parties in the past.
Enjoy your fantasy that Trump can or will fix anything, but please stop your self righteous condescension. You are being played as much as the next rube. It looks like the Illuminati have upped their game.

Thank you, Thank you. I'm here all week.
I'm always delighted when the obscure references are caught and I don't look like I'm just babbling.
I'm glad you are still up. I had to work during the debate, my impressions have been tainted by the media commentary, and I'm still on page 11 of this thread. I'd be very interested in what your overall impressions were of the debate were if you have time. The other Briefer I'd like to hear from is @Weird Tolkienish Figure.

exactly!
In April he wanted to keep abortion laws the same

Sounds like you are willing to implicate yourself to your daughter as voting in a way that results in Shrillery being re-installed-
reality. Trump is less likable and less qualified and less inarticulate and less yech than Hillary
-
If it's Trump's goal to get the evangelicals out to vote, then he presented a pretty fair case with his Supreme Court and abortion comments. I think pretty much everyone else has already made up their minds.
Only morons think he meant any of that

Hillary's spending plan is more Obama Stimulus...did not work for America..
It worked for obama's campaign contributors.
Trump loved that stimulus, but said it was way too small

Trump making Pence and Ivanka liars.
I love this. Trump undermining American democracy will not play well.
Trump was meant to be a wrecking ball from day one, his supporters want a dictator so of course they hate elections and they pretend tp be patriots while calling America hell on Earth.

If illegals vote, GOP will never win again.
If the GOP nominates people like Trump, they deserve to lose

I don't know who the Never Trumps want, maybe Cruz, but if illegals vote they haven't got a prayer.

lol. Hillary wins the electoral college numbers by a lopsided margin and it is up to Trump to eliminate or bribe as many as he can in 2 months before they meet to decide the election for real.
@AbaraXas There's your novel plot
-
I believe Bill and Donny have both raped minors at Jeffery Epstien's Fantasy Island.
Conceivable. Nevertheless, the RECORD as reported, so far, shows that Billdo-Dillbo made--what--26 trips--on such a flight to such a place. AFAIK, that's way ahead of anything Trump likely even fantasized about. Certainly sin is sin . . . still . . . Trump doesn't begin to be remotely in the same league of evil as the Clinton Crime family.
I believe Hitlery and Trump have both eliminated their enemies with the blessings of the Powers that Be.
Wellllllllllll, we all have our beliefs and fantasies. It is conceivable that he's had oligarchy help in squashing his opponents. However, there's NOTHING that I'm aware of that remotely comes close to even 1/100th the homicidal habits of the Klintoons. I'm not even aware of ONE allegation that Trump had any single person exterminated for his benefit or any other reason. That sounds like an arbitrary and very . . . personal . . . equating the one with the other, to me.
They run in the same circles and are both currupt scum sucker.
Certainly they both float among the elite. And, I think it is still a bit mysterious as to what the oligarchy is doing with Trump in this situation, unless it's to insure that the wholesale several orders of magnitude MORE bone-marrow evil Shrillery is reinstalled in the WH.
You believe the fairy tale the media has told you about Trump.
UNMITIGATED NONSENSE. The media was bought out by the oligarchy in 1915 and 1917. And, I believe CIA Director William Casey when he told Reagan that "We'll know our work has been finished when everything the citizens believe is a lie."
However, I do put a bit more stock in what a raft of relatives and co-workers have said about Trump. And, I have some acquaintances who have gotten within close range of him during this campaign . . . all attesting to an above average decency, courtesy, graciousness etc. that seems quite genuine, to them.
You believe you have been given a choice.
WRONG. As the CIA told Jesse Ventura, they've been deciding, coercing, manipulating etc. SElections for decades. It is ALL A FARCE and a cruel, corrupt, ruthless, UNCONSTITUTIONAL FARCE from basement to penthouse; inside and out.
However, Shrillery is a literal practicing Marxist, rage-a-holic, pathological lying, raging ATTACHMENT DISORDERED, bitter, vengeful, SUPREMELY ARROGANT, violent, RUTHLESS, satan worshiping, lesbian witch. She gleefully looks forward to wholesale trashing the USA down to smoldering ashes. I don't see any evidence of that kind of evil or hatred of the USA in Trump, regardless of whatever flaws he has.
Curious, given your willingness to question both parties in the past.
I still greatly question both parties and all the rest of the political charades the oligarchy has set up and dinks around with. Nevertheless, rank, bone-marrow evil at say 100,000% is a different order of problem than evil at 25-50%.
Enjoy your fantasy that Trump can or will fix anything, but please stop your self righteous condescension. You are being played as much as the next rube. It looks like the Illuminati have upped their game.
I'm skeptical that Trump can or will fix anything--even if he's installed in the WH. The oligarchy wants WW3 and the USA reduced to ashes. They'll achieve that regardless of who they install in the WH. Yet, I feel quite responsible to vote as much against the greater evil as I can--however I can.
Condescending? I just describe the current political realities as I see them. I mean no one but Shrillery and OThuga ill will, when I do so. I do try to tell it like I see it and call a spade a spade.
However, it sounds to me like the condescension may be in your mirror.
Cheers.

And, I believe CIA Director William Casey when he told Reagan that "We'll know our work has been finished when everything the citizens believe is a lie."
Quix. You need to get a couple more layers of tinfoil on. First off, you misquoted the line/meme that the conspiracy kooks claim, without any evidence, that Casey said. It is: “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”. Secondly, there is absolutely no evidence that he ever said it. None, Zero Nada.
Now that I corrected that glaring error, please feel free to continue on with your long winded screeds.

I have a hard time looking in the mirror these days. I see my reflection in the eyes of my preteen daughters and my 13 year old son. They are the ones who will pay for my misjudgements. I look at the Trump fist pumpers and "USA" chanters and see myself 15 years ago. Never again.
I look at Hitlery and Trump and see no substantial difference, only surface obfuscation. You see a genuine difference. Good for you and your acquaintances. I remain skeptical.

I don't know about that. Assange claims he has evidence that Meteor is waste deep in the Jeffery Epstien Rape Island scandal. Apparently the island is loaded with newly formed lava rocks.

Skepticism is likely a survival skill in our era.
I just have read far too much about Shrillery et al . . . her degree of CHOSEN, WALLOWED-IN, EXALTED-IN DEMONIZED EVIL is unprecedented in a public creature in my lifetime.
I have no illusions or delusions that Trump can or will save us from much of anything.
I do believe he is UNABLE to be as raw evil as SHRILLERY THRILLS at being (even IF he wanted to be).
Certainly the oligarchy is DEDICATED to trashing the old order to make it easier and quicker to raise the 'new' order (as old as Babylon) on the ashes of the once great dream and vision of the US of A.
I'm not sure they greatly care HOW they do it or through whom. Though I suspect they'd prefer the most evil and ruthless person and methods.

Happy to be corrected.
That's comforting. I'd love for that to be utterly false.
Nevertheless, the oligarchy is up to their pointed heads in deception, lies, farce etc. . . . no big surprise on that score. That's why the purported Casey statement was somewhat plausible.
/resident conspiracy kook, off.

We all create a narrative on what we think is important, and we see what we expect to see, but just because you are not looking at something doesn't mean it isn't there. I don't see Trump as the friendlier face of the wealthy and powerful elite. YMMV.

Look,
I ended the debate with a terrible feeling in my stomach. I feel bitter and angry that these are my choices. I"m bitter, extremely bitter about Clinton winning and yet I still find the prospect of Trump winning extremely frightening too.
I wish they could both lose somehow.

I don't have much interesting to say really. Trump came off as a maniac, uninformed, but not really any worse than the other debates. He landed a few good punches but missed a whole bunch of opportunities. Hillary made a bunch of good points. I'd call it a tie.
She will absolutely 100% win, not on her own merits, but just because she isn't Trump. The media will be excited because she's a woman President, like Obama was a black President.
And nothing will change.

I'm willing to bet that the state GOP would fund your effort.
With all due respect, you don't have a #$%&ing clue about this, @HonestJohn.
I contacted the GOP lawyers for support in going to Philly with videocameras to gather evidence of it, including the presumed assault and battery we woukd face, and the GOP wouldn't touch it.
That being said, I also know from watching polls, and having friends and family doing so in various places and different states, that many of the places where fraud is suspected, it's just that the Dems have a better ground game. They're getting the minority voters in to the polls even in strongly Republican precincts.
Buy fraud *is* a problem to some extent.
-
there is some sort of pre-existing agreement between the parties not to get involved in stopping vote fraud

Vote 3rd party. That is the ONLY chance the either will be denied the majority.

During the election between Bush and Kerry the RNC/GOP actually had poll counters (I was one of them) counting and recording the number of voters vs. the number of votes tallied and reported. We were given an "800" number to call in the event that we witnessed any voter fraud or voter intimidation. The RNC/GOP had placed people in the area from Washington to address any fraud or intimidation reported. We also stayed after the polls closed to witness the tally of the votes. Now the 'system' is more streamlined to supposedly avoid any voter fraud and they came up with 'early voting' to supposedly eliminate voters having to stand in long lines. Personally, I believe these new efforts to eliminate fraud have allowed the DEMS to rig the system.
-

You certainly do NOT have to respect my professional, logical, research or spiritual assessment skills.
You may disrespect me with great hostility and contempt and consider me a looney toons, off the wall kook, like some others hereon evidently think of me.
However, the FACT remains that the reports of Shrillery's raw, rage-a-holic, abject mean-spirited, arrogant, vengeful EVIL are in the many dozens, if not hundreds or more by co-workers, guards, etc working with and around her. One such report was from a close friend/relative of a FREEPER, well known to FR.
I know of NO such reports about Trump.
THAT'S a very SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE, to me. And, I think it has serious implications for any 'leadership' position either of them would be in.
There are reports that even Chelsa doesn't really like her Mom all that well.
That's not the kind of reports one hears from Trump's kids.
-
[snip]
And nothing will change.
I disagree . . .
If Shrillery is installed, things will change MUCH more rapidly, dramatically with much more chaos, blood and destruction
Given the oligarchy being behind all the horrid excuses for 'leadership' at national and other levels, the end result may be in the same ballpark if Trump is installed. However, he does not appear to personally have anything remotely near Shrillery's utter ruthless, vengeful hate for our Nation, values and way of life.
I think the oligarchy would have to assassinate him to even begin to have the President's office and power become anything close to AS DESTRUCTIVE as it would be under Shrillery.
He's no saint. He's also, evidently, not a literal practicing, satan worshiping witch or warlock, like she is.
Maybe folks are not that familiar, close up, with raw, intense, unmitigated evil. I am. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE in consequences, results, the chaos and destruction left in its wake.
-
Trump is the reason, the only reason, that Hillary is the next President. It is that simple.
Not true. The electorate has changed. They are WAAAAY more liberal now than anytime in the past. Kind of hard to overcome that. There will NEVER be another conservative elected as president.

I don't believe that's true. I think Mr. "Son of a Mailman" from the GOP debates, I'm actually forgetting his name, if he ran as a conservative he could have won.
You need Reagan's politics and personality, which is extremely rare.

Kasich....Governor of Ohio...... They would have run him over, as he had no backbone. As much as I like Cruz, the media would have characterized him as a madman. It's hard for any repub to win, when 99% of the media is against you, and there is no way to get your message out.
As usual, I turned on GMA getting ready for work. They gave Trump a full 30 min plus of trashing. Not saying he doesn't deserve some of it, but naturally there was not ONE negative thing about Clinton.
I WILL NOT vote for Trump....but in a way, I'd love to see him win, just to stick a finger in the eye of the media.

Anyone who refuses to acknowledge that the character of the country has changed has their head planted somewhere.
In spite of what the pollyannas think twisted immigration and state-run public educational systems have cranked out several generations of socialists who haven't the foggiest idea of what this country is supposed to be about.
There is no going back, and IMO there will not be another conservative running for president in our lifetime.

@Once-Ler
Sorry I missed this last night.
My impressions:
- Trump was extremely sedate, looking drugged. I think he needed some middle ground, but the calm version is much better than the loony one.
- In fact, the entire debate was a more sedate tone, even when they were just all talking over one another and refusing to stop.
- Hillary came across as more knowledgeable, even though many of her claims were false. The problem was, Trump rarely had hard facts with which he could respond to her and show she was lying. Debate prep is necessary.
- Still, Trump did occasionally have a conservative argument at hand (some debate prep stuck!). He was able to get an occasional riposte in, for a zinger. The responses rarely had hard facts, but they did land hard at times.
- Trump blew it by not explaining that he'd question the election results, not that he'd just refuse to accept them. Big difference. Everyone's trying to portray it as the latter, when it's really a "wait-and-see whether to challenge" -- something entirely different.
- I think both had personal-best performances last night, not that anything really shone.
- It's a toss-up who won. The "I won't say I'll accept the results" answer is going to hog the news, so that's a negative for Trump. Hillary seemed like she had a command of the facts, and that will help her. On the rest of the debate, I think Trump won slightly because he didn't melt down and was able to get some big question marks on Hillary.
- Throughout the debate, as with previous ones, I kept thinking "if only..."

My two cents on the debate last night.
I thought Trump had an ok debate, but he looked tired. Hillary looked refreshed, but her head continues to 'bob', and her outbursts of laughter seem to be out of place at times.
Trump pointed out the corruption and lies of Clinton along with her lack of accomplishments for being in office 30 years. Clinton pointed out Trump's lack of experience. I found the debate to be a draw, except where the Constitution and appointing of justices was brought up. As I stated earlier; Hillary was dead wrong on her assessment of what the purpose of the Supreme Court is. SCOTUS is not supposed to rule in favor of the 'will of the people'. They are NOT supposed to make law but rather rule on the Constitutionality of the law. Huge difference.
Trump didn't score any points by stating the election is rigged and that he would assess whether or not he would accept the outcome of the election. Hillary's lies continued on.
-

He already knows that he won't win.
You can't carry on like he's been carrying on about the election being rigged, then try to explain how in the Hell you managed to win a rigged election.

Of course, the assumption being that all voter fraud is one-sided.
-
Of course, the assumption being that all voter fraud is one-sided.
The courts and left (and media) are heavily pushing the idea that voter ID's are "racist" and voter fraud is a myth.
So you tell me which side is benefiting or stands to benefit from voter fraud?
-

He can always say something to the effect, it's a good thing he had his 'best people' in place ensuring that we had an honest election.
-
Of course, the assumption being that all voter fraud is one-sided.
As far as effective voter fraud is concerned, it most certainly is one sided - the left side.

Thanks for the meaty reply. I was curious how you and @Weird Tolkienish Figure saw the debate, because I see you both as, for lack of a better term, undecided voters. It's not that either of you would ever vote for Clinton, but I get the sense that if Trump had a few good days and said the right stuff you might be persuaded to hold your nose and vote for him, or if Clinton said something really egregious that too could push you to vote for Trump.
I didn't find much to get excited about last night except Trump's solid answers on abortion. The other thing that Trump benefited from was the Project Veritas video “Rigging the Election,” which angered me a great deal.

Most voters don't follow politics as closely as you and I do. I don't trust Trump to follow through on any of his promises, but I like hearing some of the stuff he promises. Let me put it this way...Trump didn't hurt his chances with me by promising to nominate pro-life judges.

Trump was right in challenging Hillary's credentials as a lifelong champion of women's, children's and LGBT rights, and suggesting that she should give back monies donated to the Clinton Foundation by nations that do not recognize the rights of those groups.
By the same token, Trump being the stalwart pro-life champion that he claims to be, should rip every inch of steel and aluminum from the frames of his luxury hotels that he purchased from a country that forces women to have abortions.

Guys,I have my own doubts about Trumps conversion, but having said that, sometimes people DO change their minds about thing. When they do,maybe we shouldn't still be so harsh to judge them and start demanding they do penance for what they once believed?

We aren't casting stones, we're casting votes. Voting for someone is a matter of trust. Trust is earned and not made up of words alone. Trump is all words. There are virtually no affirmative deeds to base trust on and MANY to cast doubt. We've watched him lie blatantly repeatedly.

We aren't casting stones, we're casting votes. Voting for someone is a matter of trust. Trust is earned and not made up of words alone. Trump is all words. There are virtually no affirmative deeds to base trust on and MANY to cast doubt. We've watched him lie blatantly repeatedly.
Then again, I wasn't talking about us, was I?

Cats don't have an opposable thumb. There is no way that cat can form his paw into a little fist.
You seem to have given this a great deal of thought.
Disturbing....
