    Congress will convene at 1pm Wednesday to certify Joe Biden's Electoral College victory at a joint session led by Vice President Mike Pence
    A group of 13 rogue Republican senators led by Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley plan to file objections to the results in at least three battleground states
    Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will made a last-ditch effort to dissuade the group from following through with their plan in a speech early in the day 
    Trump has pinned his hopes on Mike Pence, furiously and falsely claiming that the VP could single-handedly overturn the election results on Wednesday
    Pence reportedly told Trump that it wasn't possible 
    But he tried to sugarcoat message by saying he might find a way to 'acknowledge'  Trump's discredited claims about 'fraud'
    Then Trump issued furious White House statement claiming Pence was in 'total agreement' that he had the power to overturn the election

Donald Trump's extraordinary crusade to overturn the presidential election will come to a head on Wednesday as Congress meets to certify Joe Biden's Electoral College victory at a joint session led by Vice President Mike Pence.   

The typically routine proceeding will be anything but, as a group of 13 rogue Republican senators led by Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley plan to file objections when the alphabetical vote roll-call reaches the battleground state of Arizona. 

The longshot effort is all but certain to fail, defeated by bipartisan majorities in Congress prepared to accept Biden's 306 to 232 electoral victory over Trump. 

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is expected to make a last-ditch effort to dissuade members of his party from following through with their doomed plot when he delivers a speech early in the day.

Sources familiar with McConnell's plans told Axios his speech will center around his fear that the objections will tear his party apart by forcing Republicans to choose between upholding democracy and alienating a hugely influential GOP figure in Trump.

I have been and still do believe that the answer is to turn the party around in the way Trump is fighting to do. But. If McConnell comes out and argues that this is about putting the party before the President....I’m done. I will go to a new party led by Donald J Trump....be it newly formed MAGA party or a “takeover” of the Constitutional Party. I will not stay in a McConnell//Romney/Bush surrender party.

A 3rd party, or a party created by Trump accomplishes nothing.  It only insures the Dems maintain power, national power.

The UGLY TRUTH is the republic we have enjoyed for 240 years is now dead.  There is no coming back.  NONE!!!

We are not going to have a revolution to undo it either. 

Without term limits, we will never have representation within the Congress.  And term limits are not going to happen.

The first domino has fallen, there is nothing to stop the cascade of the other dominoes falling.  There is no turning back.  The Dems effectively changed rules in states, even in direct violation of the Constitution, and it just does not matter.  Not only is the republic dead, so too is the Constitution.  The Dems will continue to violate the Constitution to establish permanent and total control of this nation.  Even the SCOTUS have abdicated their role as protector to the Constitution.

And weak sisters like Pence, Romney, et al, will not make a knat's difference.  The idea of everyone out there imploring everyone to remain peaceful destroys any likelihood of truth to emerge.  Take a long look at Venezuela.  As Maduro cemented his power in the country, those that opposed him were made insignificant.  We are seeing the first steps of that today in our nation's capitol.  The Republicans do not understand what happens with absolute power, but the party as a national entity ends today.

This republic is dead.  Get used to it, because as the dominoes tumble, there is no turning back.  And when the Gun Czar announces they will seize all guns and imprison all who refuse, that will be the end of any opposition.

  That Congress is right now back in session doing its job.  Thank God for the voices of Republican patriots condemning this action in both word and deed,  and understanding that the President crossed a line.   

The silver lining is that the Republic will hold,  and Donald Trump's political career will likely be over.   Pence is a true hero,  and Trump would be well advised in the next couple of weeks not to cross him.
