Both Bevin and Beshear are under 50% right now.

Praying for a Bevin win. The Commonwealth is fu*ked if that Progressive Beshear wins.

On a positive note Republicans are taking the rest of the state wide offices including the first ever African American AG.

That is the good news for the commonwealth at least.

We’ll need Republicans in the other important positions in the State House if Beshear wins to keep him in check.

IMHO it’s so close right now it’s gonna go to a runoff.

The Libertarian candidate has managed to siphon off 2% of the vote that would otherwise be going to Bevin and put him in the lead.

I think this a warning shot, don't put loser candidates on the ballot next year. To be honest, I don't know much about Bevin. I do know that he wasn't popular.

Scant info out there, but it looks like the Dems now own Virginia.

No surprise though, the DC sprawl blob has finally taken over the state.
The Republic is lost.

NOVA has gone Navy Blue. They control the outcome for the rest of the state now.

He was the least popular Gov in the country, and the Dems barely beat him. Meanwhile the rest of the state offices turned red.

Definitely not a precursor to 2020 like the Dems are screeching now.
The Republic is lost.

He was popular outside the Louisville/Lexington/Frankfurt nexus.

Unfortunately like in Virginia...those deep blue areas can dictate what happens in the rest of the state.

He barely lost to McConnell 6 years ago thanks to Mitch’s mafia like tactics. He’s been good for the Commonwealth. Beshear is a Justice Democrat type.

And there was a Libertarian in that race, Hicks, that got 2%.

Probably thought he won a huge victory handing the race to the bat crazy Dem.

He’s the Ross Perot of that race if Beshear ends up winning.

My county (Hardin) went 51% for Bevin.

Jefferson County (Louisville) went 67% for Beshear.

Maybe. The difference in Beshear and Bevin’s vote totals right now are .53%

Kentucky didn't reject the GOP, it rejected Bevin.  He must have been one hell of a poor candidate.

Actually no he wasn’t. Beshear is an old school corrupt Dem like his daddy was. Three cities/counties delivered for him.

But right now it’s 49-49%. There’s a run off in the near future.
