Conscience voters voted for the Conservative.  Not sure who populist voters voted for.

Of course, now it's the populists.  I guess "conscience voters" only applies to Cruzbots.

Good to know.  :shrug:

Interesting tidbit:

Only two in the last ten governors in Kentucky have been Republican.  Prior to Matt Bevin, Andy Breshear’s father, Steve Breshear, was Governor.

@Right_in_Virginia

If voters weren't supposed to vote for Bevin because he was a principled Conservative, then why were they supposed to vote for him?

RiV needs to be more concerned about the fact that VA went totally controlled by the Dems for the first time in 26 years than what’s happening in my state.

Nah. If you had been paying attention to something other than your b&w glossies of Mark Harmon you'd know Virginia's been lost for ten years.

Your state's much more fun.   :laugh:

That's what happens when your state GOP actively supports Democrats - when they raise money in-state for in-state candidates, and then ship that money out of state instead.  The Virginia GOP has been far more effective in getting Democrats elected than the Democrat Party ever could.

Northern VA has been the fastest growing leftist bastion in the country.  Government is big business.  Hey, let's all tap the brakes on the battle a bit?

How pathetic is it that we’ve got someone on this forum HAPPY that a Conservative Republican might have lost an election because a Liberaltarian stole 2% of the vote?

Pathetic.

Hard to tap the brakes when you’ve got an alleged “conservative” cheering the fact a Conservative Republican potentially lost a race for the Governorship of a Red State.

It began with GOP party leaders openly supporting a 3rd party candidate over Oliver North in 1994.

If you're referring to who I think you are referring ... sorry, but it looks like you've misunderstood, again.  She wasn't cheering Bevin's loss ... but the POTUS for taking Bevin from 17 points behind to a recount ... in just four short hours.

But, don't feel bad.  I understand how she can confuse you so often  --- she really is quite brilliant.   888blackhat

KY Election is not over yet.  It's in auto-recount territory, last I saw.  Sure, it looks bad, but it's not over 'til it's over.  I have a couple of baseballs and mitts with that inscription, signed by Yogi.
