Completely different from Clinton. Clinton screwed an intern IN the White House...but even that wasn't the real issue. What Clinton was in trouble for was perjury, and that's why he was impeached.
Even if Trump knew of the payoff...another who cares...he hasn't committed perjury by testifying otherwise in court, nor has he committed any other related crime.
Must I explain to you the difference between a lie and perjury. Nearly everyone on earth tells a lie now and then, only a select few commit perjury...the first is a personal failure, the second a crime. Hope that helps.
There is one parallel, and it is not a good one.
Clinton's started out as Whitewater and ended up as Lewinsky.
Trump's started out as Russia and ended up as Daniels.
Trust me, I am no Clinton fan, but investigate Whitewater-then stop.
Same with Trump, investigate Russia - then stop.
The issue (since Watergate, I'n my opinion), is that these investigations can drag on until something, anything, is found that puts the investigated in, at minimum, a bad light. at worse, a crime, even if that crime is one we may (or may not) agree is petty.
