I voted Cruz in the primaries.  Team Cruz got most of the 529 expansion in , which will greatly benefit my family.

Go Team CRUZ!
Go Team Trump
Go Team Ryan!
Go Team Turtle !

I appreciate your confirmation, here.   @skeeter

And, if President Trump, God forbid to die today, he'd go down in history...greater than Lincoln.

His tax cuts and leadership instilling confidence ...see stock market....his selection of Gorsuch for the Court...his destruction of ISIS....his disembowelment of Obamacare...the reaching virtually tripling Obama's "new norm" of 1.50% growth in the GDP.

ALL IN ONE REMARKABLE YEAR!!!

With tremendous fire aimed at him from inside and outside the tent.

I am happy to be wrong, I'll admit it.
That damned twitter thing still drives me nuts.

I shouldn't be so holier than thou about the Never Trumpers.

I spent the entire primary season being one of them, to the point that I was driven off of TOS (where I was a charter member) with people in hot pursuit with torches and bullwhips.

But, I am proud to say that I learned quickly ... like overnight.  I wasn't struck blind on the road to Damascus, but when I woke up and Hillary wasn't president, it was a beautiful morning and, then and there, I decided to support Donald Trump if and when I could.

And I was pleasantly surprised to find almost immediately that I could support him.

I'm not gonna do a list but I love Nicky Halley as ambassador to that corrupt den of thieves, the United Nations.  They dared to criticize Trump for the Jerusalem move.  She stuck it to those losers big time.

I love that he is an unabashed America first guy and is serious about keeping us free of muslims taking over the country.

Those are just a couple of the things I like.

I'm not gonna go into the things I still don't like.  What in God's green earth is the point of that ... besides enjoying moral superiority?

The Press is in a full-court press (pun intended) to take him down.  Why should we want that or contribute to it?
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

I didn't vote for President at all in 2016, for the first time in my adult life. Given the likely alternative, I will also gladly vote for Trump, if he chooses to run again. The Democrats are no longer "democrats", but radical socialists who deny the primacy of the individual, the sanctity of private property, and the right to free expression. They detest the Constitution and abhor liberty. What choice honestly remains for one who reveres both?

I would answer that there is no other choice.  Those who love this country and are paying much attention at all to what has happened to our institutions over time realize that this republic is currently in GREAT peril.

Which is why I will once again invite ALL the Patriots here to put aside the petty bickering and explore what WE can do to help save what remains of what the founders gave us.
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

And here's the 'problem' with your reasoning, Andy.

You eloquently describe the Democrats (so much so I cited you in one of my FB conversations) here, yet because you had a hard-on for Donald Trump, you withheld your vote nonetheless.

How can you justify that?

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I don't trust politicians, any of them.  I stand ready to praise them when they do the right thing, and I'll condemn them when they Eff up.  Trump is doing OK.

That is all.

I only pretended to be passed out on the corner so I could look up your skirt.

@Frank Cannon

So that's what was going on.  Alcohol fumes were blowing my skirt up.  I was looking around to try and find out where the fan was.

Same.

And that includes Ted Cruz.  I like him more than any politician I can think of, but I wouldn't place implicit trust in him, and I wouldn't gush over him.

I posted a Zodiac Killer graphic the other day that @corbe blamed on @Frank Cannon.  I never did get around to clearing that up.

Ted would have laughed, probably.

Oh, it won't be over.  People who take a moral position, particularly in politics, are too self-righteous to give it up.

Imagine. Donald Trump, President of The United State! George Washington must be spinning in his grave.

 :silly:

I revere the office of the president myself and Trump’s doing just fine. He’s growing in the job. Once  the vapors clear and all the little nevers gather up their pearls, straighten their hair and look themselves in the mirror, they can face this exquisite fact: Donald Trump is president of these United States!

Did that count as gloating?

The President's done well.  I think the entire country can take a victory lap with you.

True..but not without calling TBR a pro Trump site or anti Trump which I won't do..TBR is to remain neutral and all politicians are subject to scrutiny.

888high58888  And that is what makes TBR unique.  Thank you Myst.

One of the biggest challenges he faces going into next year is Sessions/Rosenstein/Mueller.

He is subject to scrutiny 100% of the time but it should be fair and honest as well.
