Howard Dean: Older Dems need 'to get the hell out of the way' in 2020

Howard Dean says older members of the Democratic Party need "to get the hell out of the way and have somebody who is 50 running the country."

"I don't think [Sen. Bernie Sanders] is going to be the next nominee. But he could be. But I'm very much for somebody who is younger," said Dean, a former Democratic National Committee chairman and MSNBC contributor on "Morning Joe" Thursday.

"Morning Joe" guest co-host Willie Geist noted that meant big party names such as former Vice President Joe Biden, who has hinted at running, as well as Sanders, who has strong grassroots support from the party's left after his run against Hillary Clinton, would be out. Biden is 75 and Sanders is 76.

I live in blue State Ct.

Doesn't matter where I go, almost Everyone is aghast and disgusted. The only 'Impeach 45' types I ever meet are mouth breathers just 1 step away from drooling on themselves.

The demographic without an opinion one way or the other are the young folk working in chain burger joints.

They haven't been earning a paycheck long enough yet.

So yeah, Dems in their late 70s and 80s aren't gonna capture that youth vote.

They should be worried about it.

That would include 99.9% of the entire Federal Government and Agencies. Those guys only leave two way, in handcuffs or in a box. Other than that, they would make their desk to be their coffin if they could, and their office their sepulcher. They would stay there for eternity if they could. They really would.
