Supporters of President Trump have compiled a list containing personal information on thousands of people they believe are either opposed to Trump or associated with left-wing "anti-fascist" or "antifa" groups.

The list, reported by BuzzFeed, has been circulated and added to on the internet since at least April. The list, which began on 4Chan’s controversial /Pol/ board as a loose collection of names, phone numbers, addresses and social media accounts of Trump critics, has since grown into an organized document spread across the internet.

The list has also been posted on text repository site Pastebin. Several versions of the list appear to have been removed either by moderators of /Pol/, a haven for white supremacist and anti-Semitic material, or Pastebin......

Give them a taste of their own medicine.

My thoughts too.

Not that many in the Antifa have jobs, but it'd be nice for those employers to know so.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Making lists of political opponents; seems like a pretty irresponsible thing to do.

You do realize this isn't just Antifa, right?  They were pulling names of people who simply signed petitions and spoke out on the internet.

Do we really want this type of mob rule on either side?

What if tomorrow your beliefs are the ones targeted? What if you are doxxed as whatever the most hated group of the day is because you simply had an opinion out of the norm or belonged to the wrong forum?

When one side is doing it,  it is rather irresponsible for the victimized side to not do it back.

You speak of this as if it were a choice.  If your solution is to allow one side to attack the other,  and have the other not attack it back,  how do you expect that to work out in the end?

What if tomorrow your beliefs are the ones targeted?

We don't have to wait till tomorrow.  My beliefs are being targeted today.   What we need is a good solution to make them stop doing it.

What if you are doxxed as whatever the most hated group of the day is because you simply had an opinion out of the norm or belonged to the wrong forum?

Again,  that is what is happening now.   What do you propose as a solution to dealing with it?

It you are at the zoo and monkeys start throwing poo at you, do you:

A- step away from the poo flinging.
B- get a tranquilizer gun and put the monkeys to sleep.
C- drop trou and take a bit warm one in your own hand to fling back.

Hint, for adult humans, the answer is never C.

BTW, doxing is illegal, immoral, and unethical. In your example, you are going to become the very thing you hate.

Nixon, I mean Trump brings out only the best in his supporters! It's amazing how this sort of thing is roundly condemned when committed by democrats.

Maybe it is more important to take note of the people/groups on the other "side" that are making the lists and not just individual people that don't agree with you.

We are not at a zoo,  and our opponents are not monkeys.   We are involved in a cold civil war over culture and fiscal sanity,  and our opponents are deadly serious in their efforts to subjugate us both with various psyop tactics and actual physical suppression.

BTW, doxing is illegal, immoral, and unethical. In your example, you are going to become the very thing you hate.

If you do not fight back,  you will become nothing.   Ethical dilemmas are the province of those who can afford them.   When you are involved in a fight for your life,  you will use whatever weapons that come readily to hand,  and you can worry about how mean it was if you are afforded that luxury in the future.

As Thomas Paine said:

Quote
"The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms, for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside … Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them."

Doxing is now one of the weapons used by the left.  We may not have put it on the table,  but it is now on the table none the less.

And we have more to lose than they.

When someone is in your house throwing firebombs, it's not smart to escalate and normalize throwing them, too.

I find it astonishing that so many don't see that the tearing down of decency and western civilization and morality and ethics is exactly what The Left WANTS

And we have more to lose than they.

And we have been losing it.   We have been losing it slowly at first (With Bill Clinton)  and we have been losing it with increasing rapidity as time continues to pass.   If we are to eventually stop the losing,  we are going to have to fight in whatever way is necessary.

When someone is in your house throwing firebombs, it's not smart to escalate and normalize throwing them, too.

Because soft words are going to defeat your opponents fire bombs?   I don't think so.  As Leon Trotsky pointed out,  "You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you."

I find it astonishing that so many don't see that the tearing down of decency and western civilization and morality and ethics is exactly what The Left WANTS.

It's  what they think they want.   They do not realize that it is the only thing that has allowed them to indulge their tantrum throwing,   and if they achieve the destruction of western norms,   they will reap the whirlwind.

But they are too foolish to understand this.

It's wrong plain and simple.

There was a time that a lot Conservatives used to believe in Ethics and decency and never advocate crap like this.

So it is OK to do things that is illegal, immoral, and unethical just as long you win is OK.

Sorry, I prefer that we Conservatives do things are legal, moral, and ethical. It sets apart from the left. If we do things the same, then we are no different.  Also, if that is the future that you want the Conservative movement, I want no part of it.

When someone sticks a gun in your face, it immediately becomes a bad time to discuss the morality of sticking a gun in your face. If liberals are doxxing people and it is effective, it is natural for people to consider the same effective weapon.
Because if you are waiting for liberals to embrace morality, you are going to be waiting a long time.

And yes.....I want to know the names and addresses of any punks that feel the need to commit violence while covering their faces.

Right...or Left.

I cannot believe there are people suggesting that breaking the law be met with more law breaking.  How about insisting that the law be upheld?!

Returning evil for evil is a common response.  It is also wrong.  Expose their evil but don't copy it.  Otherwise you are no better.  I would rather lose the political battle in the short term than lose my soul in the long term.  Ultimately we all answer to God.

Investigating exactly who the criminal masked persons are is one thing.  Making lists of all your political opponents to target and torment them is another.  Can you not see that that is a recipe for escalation?  You excuse your wrong with "they did it first."  Then then repay you with more vengeance.  You them.  They you.  Pretty soon you are killing each other.
