I don't care what you folks call it, all I know is that after all this I want some pie, pecan pie, and I don't care how you say it!

That plate just don't look right without that scoop of Blue Bell sitting next to it.

I guess that's common here too... but the country folks around here call em a whoop-de-do.
Just started infiltrating here. Some dingbat at county planning must think we need to be more like Europe or something.

The new truck bypass has 3 or four of em... Truck bypass now. How the hell are you sposed to get a 40 and a pup around one of those darned things?

Trump wants congress to do it job and part of that job is putting together a budget. He just gave them three months to show they are capable of doing their job.
That is complete BS.  We have been operating for years with myriads of 'continuing resolutions' which means we have had years and years of no budgets, thus no accountability for what it costs this government and what they spend money on.

It is a shell game, and it will remain a shell game.  3 months won't solve a damn thing.

This thread is on topic?

Thank you for asking that question.. See, that's the problem right there. The definition of off topic seems to be arbitrarily set depending on the moderator. Say something politically controversial he/she doesn't like, get a time out. But page after page of off topic quirky pie pronunciations? Hey, no problem for the in-crowd.

I use the same term, (or circle jerk), but have occasionally referred to them (the ones with raised centers) as "snowdrift accumulators". No matter which way the wind blows, it will drift.

Do quirky off-topic pie pronunciations trigger you? Are they cause for verbal bloodletting? Perhaps the management needs to reevaluate policy if that is the case.

Those are the rules at this forum. If you don't like it ...

I see, 15+ posts about pies is OK. "Rules for thee but not for me".

Yum!  Now you made me just go open a can of corned beef!

Now I remember... We used to get cans of roast-beef hash, too.  I'll have to get some!

Corned beef comes in a can? Did you mean corned beef and hash?

Ted Cruz is in the news today, I was going to post an article on it but I figured that would get me a time out so I didn't. It would have been a interesting and fun thread. Oh well, see how that works.

You bet it does.  Mrs. Liberty just bought some of the Underwood when she loaded me up with the Deviled Ham.  Good stuff!

That would be weird.  Your Cruz-slamming would actually be on topic.  :thud:

Well then I am going to get some. I've only seen corn beef and hash which I love. I'll take an iron skillet and put corned beef hash on one side and wolf brand chilly on the other side. Cook at a high heat until both are done. Yummy, get a little chilly on your fork then a little corn beef hash.

That is my cheap and easy dinner when I don't feel like really cooking.

Off topic posts absolutely do not concern me; I have a scroll button and an off button and use both liberally.  But, shutting down a poster with an opinion on the subject, who responded to something someone said about Sen. Cruz, that does concern me. Both are off topic, but only one triggers a warning.

Greatest feature ever invented for online political discussions: the scroll button. I ignore most of the on-topic posts here so I certainly have no problem zipping past irrelevant (to me) posts.

I kinda like Ted Cruz, I voted for him three times last election. But I recognize he is another professional politician with lots of pimples. I just get annoyed when he is presented as "the one true conservative" he's not. I'll just leave it at that. And get back on topic.

Pies and Corned Beef! Best way to cook corned beef is in a pressure cooker, melts in your mouth and great for a juicy Rubin.
