The Sunbird is a real concern.

There are a lot of things the Russians and the Chinese are doing that should concern everyone.

If for some reason we need to transfer ships from the Atlantic to the Pacific to deal with their continuing creep into international waters they can trap our vessels in the Panama canal since the Chinese government has control of both ends of the canal.

They have had since the Clintons were in and Hutchinson Whampoa bought the freight terminals. It wouldn't take much to shut things down, and a few containers full of stuff would get the job done. The Panama Ports Company, a subsidiary of Hutchinson Whampoa, has exclusive rights to control both ends of the canal.http://themengesproject.blogspot.com/2008/10/chinas-control-of-panama-canal.html Carter gave it away, but Clintons sold it.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I remember reading the NewsMax articles on this when it was happening and I was just shocked.

Not sure if I can dig them up...but in those stories there were reports too of PLA units conducting training at our old installations there as well.

With the Clintoons EVERYTHING was for sale! Including MIRV technology!

New tech old tech...you throw enough missiles at a ship or an escort group...no matter what kind of layered defenses they have...you're not going to get all of them.

Are you somehow under the impression there is no risk in fighting wars? Sometimes even for sailors.

You really don't want us to have any allies in the world do you?

They are ALLIES,NOT dependent children.

This is a concern to us as well.

Do you think we should go to war with China over this, yes,or no? If "yes",you are a globalist fool and I sincerely hope you and everyone in your family has to fight in it. If "No",why are  your panties all in a wad over it?

Yes,it is a concern.

NO,it is NOT something to worry about if it's not something worth going to war over.

There are diplomatic and trade measures that can be taken to put pressure on China, but ultimately,if China wants/needs that oil bad enough to go to war with everyone else in Asia over it,they ARE going to get it. They are the Rottweilers of Asia, and everyone else is a Toy Poodle by comparison.

China is claiming territorial waters out to a certain point it is actually overlapping other countries territorial borders.  That should be a serious concern to everyone.

"Serious concerns" between nations are things worth going to war over. Once again, are YOU willing to get into a shooting war with China over this,or not?

The last thing we need to do is go into turtle mode.

No,the last thing we need to do is go to war with China,or anyone else,to support nations whose economies compete with ours fighting over who gets to pump oil under the ocean in the middle of nowhere.

THIS is the kind of crap the United Nations was formed to deal with,so let them deal with it diplomatically if possible, and with trade sanctions and restrictions if China gets  hard-headed about it. They won't need to oil to fuel their industry and economy if there is a trade blockage put against them in the UN.

Nope...you are the one saying we have nothing to worry about because it's old Russian tech.

If you're in a bar and you see a close friend being bullied or beat up...do you just watch and continue to sip your beer or do you jump in and defend him?

Who said anything about going to war?  Oh yeah you did not me.  Guess that makes you the globalist fool then huh?

Right now the ChiComs are flexing muscle in places they have no business doing it because thanks to Obama there is a diplomatic and military void in the region.  And nature as well as Communists abhor a void.  They are taking advantage of 8 years of feckless policy in the region to over step their boundaries with the belief no one can stop them.

This Rottweiler as you call them...needs to be put back on it's leash or at the very least have it's nose swatted with a rolled up newspaper.

Re-establishing a Naval presence at Subic Bay...increasing patrols through the Spratley's and the East China Sea are necessary and critical to a new era of diplomacy in the region and a reminder to our allies that we haven't abandoned them.

Because right now they are feeling very alone.

We don't have anything to worry about when it comes to defeating them. Yes,there will be sailors that die. So what? There has never in the entire history of sea travel that Naval battles haven't resulted in sailors dying. It's a part of the job. If they weren't ready to take those risks, they shouldn't have signed on the dotted line.

Depends. Most of my friends aren't the type of people easily bullied, but I do have a few that are non-aggressive types. I'd jump in to help them if they were being ratpacked, but not if it were one on one and no weapons were involved.

In the cases of the non-aggressive guys,it would depend on the circumstances. Even non-agressive guys get froggy occasionally. One on one,I'd let him get lightly beaten if that's the way it works out. I'm their friend, not their daddy or babysitter. If they were being ratpacked,of course I would help.

Define "region". The US Navy keeps at least one battle group floating around in the Pacific all the time.

Uhhhhh, didn't the Filipinos you are so ready to have Americans die for tell us to get the hell out of there a couple of decades ago? What now,you want us to invade the freaking Philippines so we can establish a Navy base there so we can do their fighting for them?

Since revenge is in the DNA of the president you can be sure  that governors who did not support Trump will find their Medicaid  funds cut.    Kasich is on DT's list for punishment.  Watch and see.
